Meet with design team in their offices to review potential services. Described vision for work to be performed. Design Team presented a budget requesting 100% of payment up front with no tentative budget for other costs (paint, furnishings, fixtures all TBD), meaning we would agree to a 5-figure design-only cost without any idea of end product?design or costs. Requested, and received, a phased project which was agreed to. After several weeks of little to no communication, a presentation was made that failed to capture any of our original vision. Started over with a description of explicit requirements and took designers to an existing layout that we wanted to replicate. Delays again in responding to questions. Condescending and unprofessional email responses. Estimates submitted for review that did not accurately reflect what had been discussed. Estimates had math errors. When questioned about the errors, I was told they would put something on the calendar for later in the week to review. Continued ?confusion? about requirements and vision. Agreed to terminate relationship
