All 4 locks were re-keyed in the matter of about an hour. Technician was very knowledgeable and did a great job.

Tech showed up on time. Work was done accurately and efficiently.

The technician was punctual; he actually arrived early. He assessed the damages and repaired the mailbox lock within ten minutes. I will use A1A Lock and Key again if needed.

The guy who came out was really nice and did good work.

Contacted A1A Lock and Key on Monday 11/18/13 and scheduled appointment for the next day in the morning. Very prompt at coming out to do the job. Brett came to the house about 930am and stayed till 130pm. 4 hours on the job. Very nice and professional and diligent at his job. Got to all 10 doors, as I said earlier 8 of which had deadbolts so 18 locks to change all together. Some of the doors I didn't have a key to so he had to make changes without original key. Also fixed the doors that we had trouble closing. Now all the door locks work well. Was a bit expensive $466, but expected to pay because of all the work that needed to be done. We bought house 3 yrs ago and have been procrastinating changing the locks. Finally got to it and once I called A1A Lock and Key, they got it done very quickly. Good Job!

Change locks and gave us spare keys. In addition, a couple of the doors required changes because the original locks, put in years ago, was done incorrectly. He pointed this out and did the remediation.

Returned (weekend) call promptly. Was on site quickly. Performed services professionally and efficiently. Price was a little high for a simple service, but we decided it was preferable to pay the higher rate rather than wait for less responsive providers. As a comparison, the first service provider we call has still not returned our call (6 hrs after call was placed).

Excellent from arrival to departure...Brett was punctual and very helpful with some suggestions and recommendations. The service was completed in a timely and courteous matter. He also evaluated and gave a estimate quote on fixing a desk drawer with a lock which I will consider at a later time.

Great. Zach was punctual, professional and gave great explanations on alternatives. We're eventually going to replace the hardware so this was a stop-gap measure to reduce the number of keys needed and to replace the old keys from prior owner. While $300 is not chump change, it was important to us to change the keys to our house. Zach rekeyed or blocked a combination of 9 doors (yes - the house builder went crazy with 6 doors to the back); each door has a combination of one or two locks (all with deadbolts, most with handle locks as well). Zach also installed a deadbolt on our garage-laundry room door. Combining new keys and our recently installed security-camera system, we have increased peace of mind. Thanks Zach - great work!

Have two in floor high security safes. Both closed and locked without keys when I bought the house. I called the manufacturer to get replacement keys. After a couple months of run around, they finally sent the keys, but unfortunately the keys didn't work. I then called a local locksmith for advise. I was immediately told I would probably need to replace both safes. Wrong answer! Frustrated, I checked Angies List (first time user) and found A1A Lock and Key. I called and set up an appointment for the next day. Brett from A1A arrived on time and was not only able to get into both safes, but was also able to replace both locks at a very reasonable price. WOW! I was really impressed! Courteous and professional. I will use A1A Lock and Key from here on out for all my lock and key needs. And highy recommend them to others.

handCalled Zach to tell him what I thought I needed, set up an appointment for 8:00 AM on 2 Nov; went to McDonalds to pick up some coffee and breakfast and when I got back at 7:55, Zach was already there. Wow! Walked him around and told him what I wanted/needed... he suggested a cheaper and better path to take. Explained everything that he was going to do, did it quickly and professionally and left. I highly recommend A1A Lock and Key.

So glad I checked Angie's List first! We changed some door hardware and had all locks rekeyed. Zachary was nothing but professional every step of the way from the first contact by phone, to coming out for the estimate, and when he actually did the job. Everything about the work was as he estimated from cost, to when the hardware was available to when he'd get the job done and he was not only professional but informative as well. He was on time and called when the hardware was in to schedule the work and called when he was on the way both for the estimate and the day the job was done...truly appreciated! There were no surprises. I can see why this company gets the highest rating! Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again. Thanks Angie's List as this was truly an A+ experience !

The locksmith arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. The lock had been discontinued in December due to malfunction of the tumblers. He replaced the tumblers and now the lock works great! Very professional--would highly recommend!

Not much to tell, I made an appointment they came, worked, and left with no complications on re-keying two locks in about 30 minutes. Called and asked if they could perform the requested service earlier than the scheduled appointment. Completed the job in less than 30 minutes with no complications. Very reasonable on pricing as well. Highly recommend!

A1A Lock and Key have been on the beach forever. I needed to have six locks re-keyed. I shopped around (HomeDepot, Turner, etc.) and found the going rate at approximately $5/cylinder. A1A's price was $9/comparatively. I decided to go with A1A versus their competitor(s) because I was confident A1A would do it right the first time and I wouldn't have to make another trip to have the locks "adjusted" or worse re-keyed again. I've been using Angie's List for a few years and feel it's important to note: Zac at A1A Lock and Key re-keyed six cylinders in 14 minutes-that's right, 14 minutes. The locks/cylinders are perfect with NO ISSUES. Yes, A1A Lock and Key are more expensive, but for the extra $24 in my case, it was well worth having it done right the first time.

The lady on the phone was very friendly, helpful. They fit me in within 48 hours of my call. The gentleman was punctual and worked efficiently. There was some clean-up to do when he was done, but overall everything was neat. He rekeyed all of our doors, had to replace two locks, and had to refit two deadbolts that had been previously installed wrong. The quality of work was very good, and he had some good advice for us regarding equipment. He did not try to upsell us to something we really did not need. I will use them again.
