Supposed to give 2 coats wall paint and 2 coats trim/ Received only one coat, paint streaks are throughout the room. told him to get more paint he said it would dry and look better. WRONG!. We paid him up front a $400 deposit to buy paint. He brought 1 gal trim 5 gal ceiling, 3 gal wall paint. Left job unfinished with the promise to touch up the following day, .but we had paid him the remaining balance of $400.00. After that We did not hear from him. When we did reach him by phone he said that he could not get back to us until late in the following week. Our house was completely tore up, and that was unexceptable. He did not care. He not not clean surfaces before painting them leaving them feeling like sandpaper. Our mantle in particular is ruined and needs complete sanding and repainting. We told him to return the remaining paint and we would find someone else to finish the job. He said that we did not pay for the paint. as he was also to paint the kitchen ceiling which he had quoted us at $100 for that service and never got. He kept the remaining ceiling paint and wall paint and returned 1/2 gal of the trim paint at the end of our driveway. called us on his cell phone to let us know where he had left it. He was right in our face with his invoices and far away with his service, Don't use this guy, please. The room he painted also had 2 coat closets which he refused to paint, said it wasn't part of the room, He also did not paint the plant shelving, which I specifically requested. I am going to Lowe's tomorrow in hopes that I can get the same color as the walls and finishing this job myself. I had asked him to remove the ceiling heating vents so that they could be cleaned and replaced and he said he could not reach them. This was a sad affair and we are feeling very ripped off.
