DAVE PECKHAM LAWN SPRINKLERS

Description of Work: Note: The date is incorrect the calendar did not goback far enough but the rest of the report is valid We contracted for a replacement lawn irrigation system, a new lawn and landscaping. Initially, things went well and we accepted the design. The quality of the lawn was substandard and pretty much died within 2 years. Workers ripped up underground electronics and replacement was difficult The lawn was never rolled .When we tried to call - there was never an answer.

Description of Work: Sprinkler system would not turn on. I used Dave Peckham because Angie's List had him as being in business since 2001 and a member of Angie's List since 2005. Apparently, he took the business over from his father, Earle Peckham, who is retired and also on Angie's List. Dave drove up to the house in a pickup with no signage and a paper license plate. He said he just bought the truck. He had two pierced and tatooed young men with him who both had cigarettes as they walked up to me. I asked if they were sub-contractors and Dave said said one was his son and the other a helper. Dave was able to make all but one zone work. Apparently, I needed an electronic part that they did not have with them. Dave said he would come the next day and replace. They left, and I went to work. When I came home last evening, I noticed they left the valve cover off the back yard valve box, and did not properly replace the cover on the front yard valve box which is in a bed of shrubs and flowers. Lid was tilted with dirt in the box. Today I came home from work and found that Dave had been here because the notes I left him were not attached to the sprinkler system box in the garage. (Garage is detached and accessible by arrangement). I turned the system on and zone one still does not work. He also did not re-program the sprinkler yesterday so that it would come on automatically during the night. Bottom line: I will call him tomorrow and tell him that zone 1 does not work. He can keep the money paid him, because I do not want him back on the property. His phone number is in your AL information about the company. Description of Work: I hired them to repair one sprinkler head. They came out to repair 1 sprinkler head but insisted on repairing another that I did not think needed to be repaired. I ended up having to pay $80 for 2 sprinkler heads that cost a few dollars at the store. I think that the cost was pretty expensive and on top of that they dug up a lot of dirt and left it all over the grass.

Description of Work: THEY DISCONNECTED THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM FROM THE WELL PUMP AND CONNECTED TO THE RECLAIMED WATER SYSTEM.

Description of Work: I had the pressure switch replaced on my pump by Dave Peckham's company in June. After the switch was replaced the pump cycled on-and-off, which it had not done prior to the switch replacement. After 4 visits by repairmen and statements and phone calls stating that I owed money, after I paid cash for the total amount, the pump stills cycles during use with the hose. I called another company to get information and they said that it shouldn't cycle during hose use. I wrote a letter to Dave Peckham, but never received a reply. Two weeks later I called and asked to speak to Dave, but, as he wasn't there, asked that he return my call. He never did. I am very unhappy with this company, as they didn't fix the cycling problem, they harassed me for a debt that I didn't owe and the owner never contacted me to resolve the problem, which still exists.

Description of Work: I hired this company to come out and put in a couple of wells for an irrigation system that I had previously contracted them to do.

Description of Work: IRRIGATION SYSTEM MAKE OVER. INSTALLED OR MOVED NEW AND OLD VALVES, LINES, SPRINKLER HEADS AND MICRO-JETS.

Description of Work: WE HAD A BURST JOINT IN THE LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM. DAVE CAME WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF OUR CALL, SHUT THE SYSTEM OFF SO WE WOULD STILL HAVE WATER GOING TO THE HOUSE AND SCHEDULED REPAIRS FOR THE NEXT DAY. THE CREW CAME WHEN SCHEDULED AND FINISHED THE REPAIRS WITHIN 15 MINUTES.

Description of Work: SERVICED AND UPGRADED IRRIGATION. INSTALLED NEW WELLS.
