It went great! Kurt and Nick do superior work. This is the second house they have worked on for us and I can't say enough. Very careful to detail and always go out of their way to make you happy. They cleanup everyday and are very punctual. Great suggestions.

Kurt Waterman was the contractor. They started work a month after they originally said they were going to. The first of their contractors to come in was the electrician (Mack's Electric). He would work for a few hours, then disappear for a few days. When the power was turned on by the HVAC people the panel blew up. Just submitted to a home inspection to sell our house and the inspector found numerous violations of code we now have to hire real electrician to fix. Kurt's team of workers did extremely shoddy work. There were gaps almost two inches big where the door molding joined together. He said the painter would fix that with caulk. In some of the smaller gaps it could be plugged with calk, but we had to buy new molding and replace half of what they did. The French doors off the bedroom were so badly installed if you opened the door and tried to close it again the top of the door overlapped by about a half inch, making it impossible without really horsing the door back into alignment. A carpenter friend of mine and I pulled the door out and discovered they had trimmed half of the door casing off both sides to make it fit. We build a new frame, added another layer of casing to provide support and installed the door properly and it works great. Jeld Wen is even sending us the screw covers and a new latching system that they had broken. During this entire process it was almost impossible to get Kurt to respond to pleas for help. The person who was leading his crew here knew little about the process and was the source of the poor quality work. The list of things they did wrong goes on and on but you get the idea.
Description of Work: Complete gut rehab of property.

Description of Work: Install walls and ceiling in 12x40 workshop, moulding around all closet doors, new tile in bath, install font door and storm door in main house. Will be replacing all windows shortly. Replaced patio slider, removed decorative concrete wall in front of house. There is probably more that I am forgetting to mention. Kurt and Nick are the best. They do excellent work, go beyond what is asked of them, clean up everyday. They are great to work with and have ideas we might not have thought of.

Description of Work: We did a complete remodel. It was a disaster from the beginning. Started weeks late - electrical work shorted when the new furnace hooked up - door installation worst quality I have ever seen - plumbing work sub-standard. The list goes on and on. Finished months late and would have had them back for more repair work of the repairs, but didn't ever want to see them again!

I have never bought a house by myself let alone one that needed to be torn down and started over! It was quite an experience to say the least. Let's just say I will die in this house because I will never do this again. Kurt was awesome. He is very professional, innovative, and very encouraging when I was in despair. My despair had nothing to do with him, just the experience of never having done something like this before. He always returns calls and texts promptly. The job was done very professionally. I liked all his subs except for the concrete people. I'm not sure who they were, but I would never use them again. They were exceptionally rude. So when you do hire Kurt, tell him you don't want the concrete guys that he used in early 2013! His right hand guy, Adam, went above and beyond, and his painter, George, did a fantastic job. I still call Kurt with questions. Last weekend the ac stopped working - the motor blew due to a freak FPL power outage. It had nothing to do with him, but he came out early Sunday morning, and made calls to the AC company. That is above and beyond.
Description of Work: I bought the house on the street that had to be totally gutted. Now I have the house on the street that everyone stops by to say "wow, who was your contractor?" Kurt Waterman was the GC for my house, starting from concrete walls and a tar paper roof to a beautiful beach cottage.

We are so lucky to have found Kurt. He is very detail oriented with lots of insight and great suggestions. He and his crew went way beyond our expectations. He did so many little things without any charge to us just because he thought it would look better. We wish we had found him before we contracted with someone else to do our kitchen cabinets and counters. If we need anything else done he is the first person we will call. His prices were very good, workers were neat and polite, always there when they said they would be. Very clean.
Description of Work: Kurt purchased and installed 3 French doors, custom moulding, refinished all the ceilings inside and out... even the patio and garage. He replaced all interior doors and put recessed lighting in our kitchen, installed all appliances and fans in every room and lanai, finished everything in the kitchen that our cabinet company didn't do, lots of outlets inside and out, and installed a new garage door opener.
