The Owner came out to the house to do a template but just took rough measurements. When the workers came out they had to do a lot of cutting and reshaping to make it work. The workers did a good job, it is hard when the initial measurements are not percise.
Description of Work: We had granite installed in our MB.

When the granite was delivered they glued two pieces together in the center of the sink, The resulting seam was horrible. It was very jagged and obvious. The fact that it was in the center in front of and behind the sink it couldn't be in a worse place. You step up to the sink and immediately see a really bad seam. They removed the counter, took it back to the shop to recut the 2 pieces, brought it back, re glued it and it was even worse. The owner came by and said he was really sorry but because it was just before Christmas if I paid him he would come back after the holidays and replace the two pieces with a single piece so there would be no seam. Unfortunately I trusted him and agreed to these terms. When I didn't hear from him by the middle of January I called. He yelled and swore at me. Told me if he did replace it, he would still put two pieces in and would make certain the seam was even more ugly. The guy totally flipped out on me. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and threatening. I keep a towel over the seam. DO NOT trust this man.! DO NOT hire him but if you do hold onto your money until you are satisfied.

It started right from the beginning when the installers got there in the house, one was yelling at the other about how to get the granite in and who cut it. My neighbor even heard them yelling at each other outside. Very unprofessional. The owner Carl stopped by to check on the progress, he was the one who told my girlfriend Cindy who was home working at the time about the piece of laminate that broke off, and to glue it back on.Then he went to leave, Cindy asked if he wanted the check or give it to the installer, he said he would take it. 2 hours later the worker knocked on her door and said they were done. She went to look and noticed some of the imperfections and called me. I told her to stop the check until I got home from work. I had off the next day & called to have Carl come over. He did with an attitude. He walked right by me then turned & said," You had to stop the check, you couldn't just call me". From there it was down hill. Blaming us for having crooked walls and actually yelling that he didn't design it, referring to the back splashes around the windows. He asked if we wanted him to fix the damages or give us our money back. Cindy didn't want to wait another 2 months to start over, so she said fix it . He said fine and walked out. Hindsight, we should have taken our money back. A week later & another call. The installers came out and were able to straighten the top and make the overhang even. They took out the white caulk and put in black epoxy. They put a one inch piece of granite to cover the gaps in front of the windows. Things they should have done the first time. As for the back splashes, they notched out for the blind to go behind which looks awful, but at least the blind closes. The installer said the dishwasher handle was ordered. I asked what happened the prior week, he said he was sorry, his mind wasn't on the job, personal problems. At least he was honest. I asked if the countertop was cut wrong as to why it didn't go up to the window. He said he double checks it with the template before leaving the shop. Carl did the template. I asked what about the countertop on the Lanai they broke. He had to call Carl, after yelling at him for taken so long, he put me on the phone. Carl asked what I wanted, I said, how about the same granite as the kitchen so it will blend. He said, " Are you F__ing kidding me, you want me to put a $300 piece of granite over a 30 year old cabinet, are you insane. I'll put a piece of formica on it but it won't stick since the cabinet is shot. I told him to forget it. I really didn't want them back at my house. I had two countertop people look at my kitchen and pictures of the gaps, both said either the granite was cut wrong or the template was wrong. The owner Carl refuses to take ownership to that. No integrety. Would definetly NOT recommend Rock Your World'
Description of Work: Installed a granite countertop crooked with an 1 inch overhang on one end and 1 1/2 inch on other end. Had a half inch gap between the countertop and window on back wall and three quarter inch gap between countertop and window on left wall. They notched out for our fridge end panel too much and filled the1/4 inch gap with white caulk on black granite. They broke off a piece of the countertop on our Lanai and told us, we just had to glue it it back on. They cracked our brand new dishwasher handle, and put in a 4 inch back splash against the wall but also around the window, where our Levelor blind would come down and stop 4 inches above the countertop.

Description of Work: Replaced my kitchen counters with granite. There was a large very obvious seam in front of my sink. At first the owner was willing to work with me by replacing the entire two piece section with one piece to eliminate the seam all together. After several attempts to contact the owner nearly a month later he told me he was having difficulty locating a piece long enough to replace it with one piece. I called another granite place and located one immediately. When I told the owner I had located one he blew up, swore at me and was theatening. He told me he didn't appreciate me doing his job for him and that even if he could or would find a suitable piece he would still put a seam there and it would just have to be good enough for me. I would not recommend doing business with an individual as unstable as he appears to be. I am left with taking legal action or keeping a $2100 ugly mistake.

Description of Work: Installed granite kitchen counter tops July/August 2014 and window sills in September/October 2014. Employees are great. Owner is very unprofessional. Makes appointments, then does not show and does not bother calling to say he is running late or cannot make appointment nor to reschedule and when you contact him, he gives the impression that you are bothering him. When I made a comment about this, he claimed he was giving me a free window sill so why was I giving him a hard time about not showing up once when he had waited over two months for me to let him know when my windows were installed so that he could come back to do the sills. When I first hired him, he never implied that this would be an issue. Also, when I replied that he did not give me anything, that I paid for it, he stated that I did not because the original agreement was for only one sill and I was now getting two. This was absolutely not true. He never wrote anything down when we spoke, however, I did write it down when the counter tops were installed and had his employee sign the document. I replied that it was not my fault he did not charge me for everything when I first hired him and asked what it would cost. He then hung up on me. During the time of the installation his wife was expecting a child so I gave him the benefit of the doubt for being an expectant father, but his rude and unprofessional behavior continued even after the birth. So I can only determine that he is just this type of person. He once even related a story about smashing a customers counter tops with a sledge hammer when they complained afterwards. If you don't mind dealing with this type of person for a lower purchase price, then use him. The tops look very nice and his employees are easy to deal with.
