I scheduled an appointment to have Dakota Furniture Repair provide an estimate for a repair and opinion as required by my credit card company as part of their dispute process. When I scheduled the appointment I explained what I needed and why I needed it to David and that this was very time sensitive as my credit card company has only provided me until September 28th to provide them with a response. We agreed on the fee of $40 for this service. He then called a day later and said that he was going to have to cancel the appointment because he changed his mind and does not want to get involved. His unprofessional has left me in a bind.

The repairs were so excellent that I would have never known there was a problem to begin with. The repairs were made much sooner than I expected. Since the piece was small we delivered it to him and then picked it up the next morning. I was very pleased with the repair and would use him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

David was great. He called ahead to schedule the appointment and called the day of the appointment to confirm. He was on time. He took at a look at the couch, got his supplies and quickly did exactly what we asked of him. He was professional and courteous. I would recommend David highly!

David did an incredible job. He fixed 4 wobbly chairs and restored them. Very prompt and professional. HIGHLY recommend !

I'd had a couple people look at my chair to see about getting it repaired. One suggested gluing it (the way it was broken off I knew this would never hold) and another suggested grinding out one piece and whittling down the other ( which would have made it shorter than the other unbroken chair). Luckily I read about Dakota Furniture Repair in Angies List and took the chair to get his opinion. His idea sounded like the best I had heard so I left the chair with him. I picked the chair up today and couldn't be more pleased with his work. Not only does it still match the other chair exactly but I'm sure it's now sturdier than it was before the break! And he was so pleasant to work with that I will definitely recommend him to others who want quality workmanship. I can't thank him enough.

Every step of the process went smoothly. I called David and we set up a time for me to stop by with the dining room chairs. The chairs were 25 years old and contained a lot of dirt and grime in addition to the finish being damaged in many areas. The horizontal cross members on the bottom of the chairs were loose due to the glue being old. After David and I agreed to a price of $70 per chair to refinish and repair them I authorized the work. David informed me it would take about 4 days and he delivered on his promise. My chairs were refinished and re-glued and look great. David is easy to talk to and delivers on what he promises. I would definitely utilize Dakota Furniture Repair on any future wood restoration projects.

Never had anything done so I paid for nothing.. I wasted my money

In a few words, David is a gem. We had a dining room table base that needed repair. The base was a rather unusual design but David did an amazing job of making it look like new. He is a mastercraftsman and takes pride in all aspects of his work. If you want someone to do quality work, return phone calls in a timely manner and show up at scheduled time, David is the right person for the job. Would definitly use his services again and highly recommend him;

David was incredibly professional. Very courteous and polite attitude. He provided a fair quote and did not have to wait long for an appointment. David was extremely careful not to damage or get dirty the furniture around the desk he was going to fix. It was amazing the level of care he took around the other furniture. He was very knowledgeable on how to fix my desk. It had badly crushed corners from a terrible delivery company. David was very skillful in repairing the crushed corners and touched up the rest of the desk. This was a very large/expensive desk for my law practice and it was amazing seeing David worked with great skill to fix it. Bottom-line, I would use him again and recommend it to anyone.

He came to the house, did a beautiful job, and I couldnt have been happier with this man. He did an excellant job, very careful and thoughtful and I'd continue to use him.

David took the whole table apart and reassembled it. He added some stain to the wood, leveled the whole thing and it looks brand new. He is a master craftsman and is highly recommended.

He was on time. Very detail oriented. He put blankets on the floor to protect floor from work area that he was working on the furniture. He did a great job on all the furniture. I would definately use him again.

David arranged to come out to my home within a day to fix my furniture. It was unsafe to sit on due to the seat frame cracking. He repaired both sides of the frame and reinforced them for extra strength over time. My furniture is an antique and David did a great job fixing it. I'm sure I will have more to be repaired in the future just based on the age of the furniture and will certainly use David again!

David did a great job refurbishing our chairs. He did all the work himself and they are like new now. We couldn't be happier and I would highly recommend him.

I bought this deal in the last min. I had called mike to get an Idea on what could be done for the $99 which is actually $200 worth. As per him it was really nothing. He gave an estimate that is about $900. I got the quotes from other service providers who gave the quote around $200, a huge difference. I felt this big deal is not really a good deal and it is too expensive.

Refinishing went very well. Cedar chest is now usable and can be displayed in the house with out worry that it might be mistaken for scrap wood for the fire place.

The work was wonderful - the drawers are like new. He was professional and courteous. We had some difficulty getting together for the first service call, but it all worked out great. I would definitely call Mike if I need additional furniture repaired. The fact that he would come out to my house to look at furniture that I had no way to get to his shop is extremely important to me.

I sent him photos, he told me what he would have to do to make the chair functional & told me the price. I delivered the chair to him. he had it repaired in just a few days and for the agreed price. It is definitely a more solid piece & doesn't wobble the way it used to. No scratches or marks on the wood or the leather. No change in the design. He secured the chair part to the original base, which is not hidden with any fabric. I am very happy with his work. I would definitely use his service again if anything happens to my other furniture.

I purchased a Big Deal for furniture repair/restoration in October 2013. Communication was slow right from the beginning, but he asked some questions about the work I needed which I answered immediately. He requested photos of the table I needed repaired which I provided. Has not responded to any of my messages since that time (Nov 2013).

David was very quick to call us after we reached out to him on Angie's List. He came and looked at all of the furniture that needed extensive repairing. He gave us a very fair quote to fix all of the damage that the children have done to our furniture. There was bite marks, dents, deep scratches and discoloration in all of our furniture. We had a crib that turned into a bed. My son had gnawed on that wood as a baby and it was awful looking. Dave made it look like brand new furniture. This was an expensive set so we were so happy to see what a beautiful job he did. He also repaired the pottery barn furniture in the kids playroom. That also looks brand new. Dave took his time and did quality work. He also left everything very clean and removed his shoes upon entering our home. I would very highly recommend him if you have any furniture that could be repaired. It is amazing that he was able to make my sons dresser look brand new! There were scratches all deep into the wood and on the sides. We had used his dresser as a changing table when he was a baby. And 5 years later it is looks brand new again. We completely recommend David. He charges an honest competitive rate for beautiful quality work. He did an amazing job and I am so happy we found him. I am sure we will be calling on him again in the years to come.

He picked up our piece and called us to come see what he had done so far and to choose a finish for the desk. We spent some time in his shop and he explained the process to us and answered all questions. Very nice man a pleasure to deal with.

The chairs are cane back and seat and are 40 year old hand made mahogany. One had a broken top piece and both were loose and coming unglued. I took the chairs to Dakota on Friday and they were ready by Monday. Both were excellently repaired and reinforced under the seat corners. You could not tell which had the broken top piece. The work was done quickly and professionally. I will definitely use them again if I have any other furniture to be repaired.

Looks brand new now. Nice work. David was very accommodating and pleasant.
