KF FLOORING

The tile guy we hired to do our floors couldn't do them due to illness and we couldn't find someone on Angie's List that could get to us for at least three weeks. Our kitchen had been gutted and we didn't want to wait so we let our plumber who claimed to do bathroom remodeling tile work do the work. That was a mistake and we stopped him after he did the kitchen. Lots of high/ low areas and varying grout lines. We called KF Flooring and were now willing to wait three weeks for them to get started. John (the owner) promised it would be worth the wait and would not take any money until the work was complete and we were satisfied. He was so right. The installers Paul and Joe took care of everything from putting up plastic to contain debris during tile removal to moving furniture and cleaning up at the end of each day. They were friendly, punctual, highly efficient, and very detail oriented .. artists in their craft. We will hire again to remodel master bath.

Had the same lead tile guy for all the tile work which helped tremendously with communications and with implementation of my designers concepts and plans. Workmen were friendly, on time, cleaned up after themselves and performed professional work. There were a few minor things on the punchlist and these were attended to promptly following notification to John.

Excellent. From my first contact with the company, John the owner, to all the workers, I was impressed and pleased. Everything was explained and follow thru was exactly as promised. Everyone showed up on time and were totally professional and skill was awesome. Tile guy Joe was a true artist and my shower could be in a magazine. He and his assistant cleaned up everyday. No mess was ever left. They were very respectful of me and my home. They were pleasant, professional, on time and timely, explained everything. I could not have had a better outcome or better experience.

He couldn't have been nicer. Should my budget increase, I'd use him in a heartbeat. He has an excellent reputation in the community. The only thing I didn't like was that he wanted to use ONLY Pro-source for materials. Since budget is a concern, I am thinking there are more cost effective places to purchase materials and supplies.

We had an apt set up for 10am. I had spoken to him on the phone and explained what we want done and our time frame for getting it done. The morning he was supposed to come give an estimate he called and said he was running behind, which was fine, things happen. So 12 was the new time. I also had someone else coming out at 11 for an estimate. I called him back to ask if we could push it to 1230 because I had to run out and I wasn't sure what time my first estimate would be done. He got a little aggressive asking if this guy was licensed and he didn't want to waste his time. Then he said very abruptly "I am 3 weeks out so when were you even looking to get this done." We want it completed by a certain date which he knew of on the phone when we spoke the first time. He said he wasn't able to complete it by then. It was just a frustrating conversation because I wouldn't have wasted either of our time if I knew he couldn't complete the job in our time frame.

From beginning to end, this company was honest, punctual and professional. We couldn't be happier with the results. This company has a genuine regard for the customer's satisfaction. This was our second experience with K & F. The first was just as well done. The gentleman who actually did the tile work was a true professional as well as an artist. Other people coming into our house to do work commented on how well the tile was done and asked who did it. If we need more tile work done, we will definitely call John at K & F.

John the owner was great and Sandor the installer was amazing. I had no cleanup or mess and Sandor's cuts were perfect. I would give the whole experience an A plus. If you need tile work look no further and hire KF Flooring. Thanks again

They were absolutely wonderful and there was nothing that I disliked. They were on time, courteous, enjoyable to be around, and they steadily worked. Everything was great and it was a very good experience.

John and his men did an excellent job in remodeling our master bath. His tile guys are artists - Joe and Roberto were the best. KF Flooring goes out of their way to make sure you are 100% happy. The job was gorgeous. They start on time, do anything you ask, clean up after themselves. You would think remodeling a master bath would be disruptive to the household but they take care of everything. Great Job.

It went very well. Callie was very nice and scheduled John to come out to give us a quote. He was very professional and willing to work with me and install the bench seat that I wanted (which I learned all tile companies won't do). He added a niche and provided the sills for the niche and the threshhold. I provided the tile, because I wanted to add a little bit of a pattern. His guys worked with me on how the design pattern should look. They were here on time each day and both Telly and Tim were very nice. They pointed out some problems with the tiles I bought, which helped me understand a lot about the process. At first they weren't going to use the Redgard on the seams and corners, but when I told them that John told me they would use it, they went out and got some and applied it as I was expecting. A day or two after the job was completed I noticed there was a small chip in the sill and a couple of tiles at the bottom of one wall didn't look straight. I called and John sent them out the next day to fix both things. I'm so happy! Everything looks beautiful. Would definitely use them again.

The gentleman did everything by eye, did tile cuts all around the cabinets in an angle and I couldn't find any fault with his work. We had inlays put in our front porch and he did that very well. We liked him so much that we had to wait a month for him to finish another job to get him back. He was well worth waiting.

Work was excellent. Installers were knowledgeble. Work done on time.

I contacted two flooring contractors to provide me with quotations for removal of 900s/f of ceramic tile and installation of new tile. The work covered a living/family room, kitchen, dining room and hall areas. John of KF Flooring promptly made an appointment to inspect the scope of the job, arrived as scheduled and provided an estimate prior to leaving. His estimate covered all labor and materials except for the tile that I was purchasing. The other contractor made an onsite visit but was unwilling to provide an estimate at the time of his visit tho we discussed "ballpark" figures per square foot. I contracted with John and we made arrangements for a start date. Two of his employees, Paul and John, showed up promptly on the given day and began the laborious task of tile removal --- after careful sealing the kitchen cabinets, air ducts and doors to rooms where work was not to be done. These two worked steadily over seven of the next eight days, only taking Sunday off. Let me say that they did an absolutely wonderful job of tile setting and constantly kept us appraised of how the job was proceeding. I have personally remodeled a couple of homes and have completely rebuilt two kitchens and two baths but this job was waaaay beyond my scope. I was present throughout the workdays and at no time had any concern s about how the job was being handled which is not the norm for me, unfortunately. I would not hesitate to hire this firm again or to recommend them to anyone.

We had a seawall contractor from h*** here in Gulf Harbors, so we were very leery when we decided to basically gut the house we had bought a few months earlier. We were looking for a contractor who could be the General for the entire job. A friend of mine had used KF Flooring (John Filippidis) to remodel a bathroom and couldn't sing enough praises about him. John came over and asked what we wanted to do and we told him that we wanted to fill in our sunken livingroom with concrete and remodel the entire kitchen. John brought in various tradesmen with whom he has a longstanding relationship for quality work and we alll met. The livingroom was filled in with concrete first and then demolition took place in the kitchen. John suggested that, in order to achieve a larger kitchen, we take out a hall closet and put the refrigerator, wall ovens and microware in the resulting space. The kitchen is incredible! All the cabinets are custom made and I can't begin to express how happy we are with the results. In the middle of the project we decided to also remodel two bathrooms, replace windows and sliding glass doors and change the other old doors. John said there would be no problem with any of it and we proceeded with the rest of the project. The former livingroom is now a diningroom with beautiful wood floors and all the old tile was replaced with new. The kitchen is wonderful and truly a showplace, right down to the custom wood exhaust hood. The bathrooms are also very beautiful and we have received so many compliments on the work. Besides exemplary workmanship, John took care of any of our concerns immediately for any aspect of the project and did so with kindness and respect. He stopped by after the work was done to see if there were any problems that needed to be resolved, which there wasn't. He is a very honest and trustworthy individual and we recommend him to everyone we know.

John worked within our tight time frame when we got held up with unexpected delays on the closing. He treated us like family. He helped us get subcontractors at reasonable prices who did excellent work. He is a quality guy.

We got four estimates for this job. John of KF Flooring gave us an estimate that was not the highest or the lowest. His price did not include the materials which we were free to get wherever we wanted to. The $1700 did include both John's quoted price and the materials we bought. The thing that impressed us the most about John's visit to do the extimate was the way he respected our home and his assurance that the job would be done without damage to our baseboards. The other companies advised us not to paint the baseboards until they had finished the job. John also asks for no money down. We only paid when the job was finished and we were completely satisfied. Telly and Tim were the team that did our work. They were on time, professional and personable. This was a difficult job as the tile formed a pathway from our entryway through the house to the bedroom. Some of the parquet floor came up easily but the part in the bedroom was stuck tight. Tim had to use a small jackhammer to get it up and it took a long time. He competely covered everything in the bedroom before he started. When he was finished, everything was completely clean. Telly laid the tile and had to cut over 75 pieces, some of which were curved cuts. Everything fits perfectly. There were a few places where the carpet did not quite cover the edge ove the tile but it has flattened out and gone back into place now. John assured us if it didn't, they would come back out and fix it. My husband painted the baseboards before the work was done and there was not a mark on them anywhere. We love our new floor and are extremely satisfied with the work and the way it was done. The clean up job was amazing. I have never had a crew that I have not had to clean up after before. John called a few days after the installation to make sure that we were satisfied with the job.

It was the most seamless expeirence I have ever had

John the owner of KF Flooring came over and helped us design the bath. He recommended a glass guy for the shower door, a cabinet guy and a painter and plumber. I called them all for quotes and ended up giving them all the work. They all had the best price and references. John sent an installer named Joe who in my opinion is not a tile installer he is an artist. Watching this man work was a treat. He is from Hungary and told me they train to a higher standard. When the glass guy came to measure for the shower door he made comment how square the opening was. I told him who did it and he said no wonder. The quality of the job was fantastic. As soon as I can afford it we will tile the rest of the house. Looking for a perfect job? Call John

My husband and I decided to redo our master bath that contains a large walk in shower, bathroom tile floor and large walk thru closet and hall. We contcted this company based on reports we read on Angie's List. We felt the estimate he gave was extremely reasonable. John also made a few suggestions that we hadn't considered and which we chose to do adding to the style we wanted to achieve. We explained that if he couldn't guarantee the work would be completed prior to Thanksgiving, we would wait until after the holidays. He assured us this could be done and they started work on November 3. They would have worked straight thru but we had a problem with the floor tile that had to be reoredered, so there was a break of about 4 days while we waited for the supplies. John sent what my husband and I considered, his best team to do the job. Joe and Jasin arrived promptly, made sure our carpet was protected when it became necessary to walk on it, cleaned up after each days work and did an extremely professional job. We would definately use them again and highly recommend them.

KF Flooring was recommended to us by the Home Tile Center in New Port Richie. We had previously talked with two other people who came to the house and gave us estimates. One of them was a handyman who did tile work but did not convinced us that he knew what he was doing. The other person owned a tile installation business but seem to be bothered when we asked for recommendations and did not want to take the time to explain how the job would be done. Mr. Fillipidis, the owner of KF Flooring, came to the house and took his time answering all our questions. He also gave us some recommendations on the tile and the color for the grout. His crew came and did the measurements and installed the tile we had bought. They did an outstanding job: cover the countertops and cleaned everything before they left; they were courteous and professional. I would hire them again and would recommend them to my friends and family. Mr. Fillipidis called the following day to ask if we were satisfied with the job.

He has good quality work. He is very professional. He showed up on time. The price was reasonable. We did comparative shopping and are satisfied with him. We were comfortable with him in our home. He cleaned up as well as he could for this kind of work.

They were very nice and polite. They were here when they said they were going to be. The estimate was exactly what the cost was. We liked everything about them. They cleaned up very good afterwards. They mopped the floor down and they took care of all the old tile.

I had already used John's company for my ceramic tile, and they were just as wonderful to work with for wood! John helped me get the floors done quickly so that we could have a working guest room for my in-laws who were coming to visit. They made sure the job was done--and done right.

John was extremely nice and helpful throughout the process. We had construction going on, and thus had to be flexible with start dates, which he was more than happy to do. The workers who came out to do the jobs were very pleasant, very professional, and very helpful. My floors are beautiful and the shower stalls are gorgeous!

We liked John Fillippidis from the moment we met him. He had just finished installing some tile at a home nearby. He had also done a showroom for a tile company in the area. He gave us an accurate estimate at a fair price. He was not the highest priced estimate, nor the lowest. We were impressed with his honesty & the quality of his work. My husband and I are very particular. We knew enough about laying tile to know that installing large, rectified edge tiles onto our 25-year-old, unlevel concrete slab would not be easy. The work turned out perfectly,with not one tile higher or lower than the one next to it (aka: toe-kicks). The grout line is only 1/8", and the tile was installed diagonally. The team that works for John are friendly, arrived each morning on time and cleaned up after themselves each night. One night,they even fed the cats for us! John perfectly repaired a (pre-existing) 5-inch hole in the mosaic tile in our bathroom with pieces he rescued from demolition of the floors!
