Called on Monday during the afternoon. No one picked up, so I left a message with call-back info. By Friday, I had not received a callback. I called Friday afternoon and finally spoke to someone. They said they might be in the area Saturday or Sunday (11/11 - 11/12) and they'd call to stop by and give a quote, at worst, call me to schedule something Monday (11/12). Monday and Tuesday have gone by and still no call to set up a quote. If their fencing is anything like their professionalism and punctuality, it's pretty lousy! I'll be contacting another contractor.

When the guy came out to write up the estimate, we had the choice of either purchasing 6? posts or 8? posts, we opted to pay extra for the 8? posts because we thought the extra depth in the ground would make the fence more secure. We specifically told him this is why we wanted the 8? ones. When the install guys came out (which one of them was the owner) they stuck 2? in the ground and intended to cut the extra 2? off. When I told him we purchased 8? to have the extra in the ground, it was blown off like it was my mistake and too bad. I told him the guy who came out to write up the estimate never said that we couldn?t do that. He said he would ?talk? to him about it. No refund on the difference was ever offered. Construction standards on hanging a 6? rail is 3 screws. Some rails had 3, some had 2 and some only had 1. For some of the fence boards, instead of measuring it, cutting it, and then screwing it on, they were screwed on, and then the remainder cut off using a chainsaw all while gouging the posts with the chainsaw. This was visible on a post right at the gate that was in plain site. Some boards that were put up with the above mentioned method had to have their screw(s) driven in at an angle to reach good wood in the fence post when it reached the other post. The fence boards at the corners did not mate up with each other thus producing an unsightly finish. About half of the rail tops (that they had to cut down) were cut by eye and were of different lengths and angles. The posts were not secured into the ground very well as some of the dirt was not even filled back in on one side of the posts. You can rock some the posts about 8? from side to side. The owner drove his truck between my house and my neighbors and ripped a 10? branch off my neighbor?s tree. The workers threw their lunch trash right on my lawn, and my dog proceeded to eat a peach pit left there (might I add this is extremely dangerous) while I was standing there talking to them. I had to pull it out of her mouth. Had this fence been for a barnyard or pasture, some of these issues could be overlooked. But I live in a high-end equestrian community and I have to try and sell this house one day. Also, because we live in a hurricane state, I need this fence to be as secure as possible. Not only was the quality of workmanship from this company substandard, but the owner was visibly annoyed when we pointed out our concerns. I felt it was going from bad to worse to complain. I regret ever having hired them and should have done more research prior. I got to the point that I just paid the last installment to get this company off my property so we could begin repairs and try to fix this mess ourselves.
Description of Work: We hired Hendrickson Fence & Railing to install a 4 foot wooden post and rail fence around the back yard of our house. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
