Discount Aluminum

We hired Discount Aluminum to remove the carport roof from my mom's mobile home roof after hurricane Milton. They came out a week after talking with us and gave us a quote to remove the carport roof, haul away the damaged aluminum fix any damage to the mobile home roof and put a new carport roof on. The price was very reasonable. Both Frank Sr and Frank Jr. were very professional. They answered all our question's showed up when they said they would. We were very gun shy because we had bad dealing a year ago with a roofing company who tried to scam us so we were very worried about dealing with another contractor. I will tell you this company is legit and does what they say they will do. Things are taking a little longer right now because of the back to back hurricanes.

Since covid controlled our lives several years ago, I was reluctant to have windows installed in our lanai due to horror stories of companies in this business that failed to perform as promised. This March, 2024, I contacted Discount Aluminum about new windows on chance they were a dependable business, since they have been in business many years. I was shocked when they came, gave an estimate and advised when they would be installed. To my surprise, they installed my windows in 5 hours and did an outstanding job. Living in Ohio, I had a neighbor watch the process. He advised the worker arrived on time and did a great job removing the old windows and installing the new slider windows. He even caulked several areas within the lanai that was not part of the project. I am so "glad" I picked Discount Aluminum. They are a great group of people to know and depend on to do the job right!

Frank and his team went above and beyond and their excellent work exceeded our highest expectations. They take pride in their work and won't cut corners. Hire them and rest assured you'll get the best job that anyone could do.

Everything went great. Frank Senior was so helpful with answering my questions and taking the time to explain things.

In June 2021 a representative of Discount Aluminum came to my house to inspect my patio to determine if we had the necessary footers to fasten a screen enclosure. Certain footers are required by the Pasco County Building Department in order to obtain a permit and pass all inspections. The rep., a man named Joe made several calls to Frank Sanna, the owner, and I was told I was in compliance. I signed the contract and gave a $1500 deposit. Several weeks later I learned from Scott Carley, chief building inspector for the county, additional footers are required. I called Frank and told him what I learned from Scott and he said no to worry he had a good relationship with the building department and it would pass. Since Frank had me pull the permit I would be responsible to comply and therefore I informed him I was canceling the contract and requested a return of my deposit for being mislead. I have received a check for $855. and one for $250., but a balance of $395. is still due me. In addition I spent $190. on building permit fees that a nonrefundable and would like reimbursed. A few days ago I contacted Channel 8 on your side to assist me in recovering my funds. K. Summers

From contacting to installation was great until it came time to making the payment. I had talked to Frank after the job was completed and was ready to pay with my Visa card and was told by him that he would rather not be paid in that fashion because of the 4% surcharge and rather be paid by check. I do not live in Florida and was on mandatory business travel at the time and don't travel with my check book and told Frank I would get the check in the mail as soon as I returned home. I just received a voice mail from Frank threatening to put a LIEN against my house if payment isn't made ASAP. I called him to discuss the issue and if he wanted to use my Visa and he told me that it was my responsibility at the time of booking his service that I was going to be using a Visa and not a check book and did it in a fashion were he used multiple curse words including the F-bomb at which time I hung up. I have made arrangements for a friend to get the check in the mail today. All of this was over a $25.00 Visa surcharge that Frank didn't feel that he needed to pay as a business owner.

Excellent, workmanship was better then I hoped. I was very please from the time I called Frank ( the owner). I gave him a deposit and he took care of everything including the permit. I would for sure recommend to anyone looking for this kind of work. Very pleased.

Wonderfully! Our new screened room is beautiful and provides extended living space for our home. The work was completed quickly and with no problems.

It went wonderfully! Two "gentlemen" finished my job in just 4 hours. They removed my old screens and frame without damage to the walls, they installed the new frame, windows and screens to perfection, caulked their work to prevent water seepage, they cleaned up after themselves, and they only took one short break to each lunch. The whole process took 4 hours and was done extremely professionally! I couldn't be happier with Discount Aluminum!

Both the concrete service and screen room service were prompt and courteous. The workers were very efficient and cleaned up well after themselves. It's a pleasure to have such great service.

Frank gave us the best estimate of several bidders. He kept us fully informed as to the progress of the building permit and material status. His crew came and installed the screen portion first then measured and ordered the windows. When they came in the crew promptly installed them and finished the job. The crew was professional and courteous. They advised us on proper care for the screen and windows and door. The inspector passed the installation with flying colors. We are very pleased with Discount Aluminum and should we need any future work they will be our first call.

It leaks from the roof. The door was put on backwards. The door is crooked. The door handle does not work and never has. There is a lot of caulking done to cover up short cuts in the construction. There is also mold collecting because of the water leaks in the roof. We cannot even sit out there, we have to use it for sotrage. The contractor is very rude, disrespectful and hateful. They aslo gave me 2 quotes. They said aluminum was going up in price and pressured me nito paying for the expensive quote. They consistently canceled and were late. The owner would receive and "F."
