It was time to add some color and texture to the yard along both sides of the 120 foot long driveway and to the front of the house/entryway. We have lived here for 24 years and never did much but cut back the overgrowth and keep the existing azaleas trimmed. Needless to say it was blah. We live in a wooded area with a fair amount of shade. Chris came out, looked at it, listened to what we wanted to do which was add plants to the areas but keep it looking like a park setting in the trees. He did just that. He and his crew worked hard getting the old vegetation removed and completely transformed the area. It looks wonderful. He used about 10 different kinds of plants and a tree of differing colors and heights to create the look plus a few lights to highlight the oaks. We are very happy with the results and the price. Chris has a Master's Degree in this and his designs and thought processes really show through. We highly recommend CJ's Landscaping/Chris Swezey to anyone who needs this type of work done. Ours was a blank canvas and he the artist that gave it life.

CJ's has taken care of our grass and plantings with particular care. We get regular compliments on our yard. We live in a Deed Restricted Community with strict rules about lawn maintenance. CJ's keeps our grass in great shape and takes care of the bushes as well.

Chris is very knowledgeable, extremely professional, and obviously loves what he is doing. We have recommended him to neighbors. He is very direct about things that will and will not work. His prices are reasonable and his work high quality. If we ever move, we very much hope he services our area.

I have used Chris for many projects throughout the years and have never been disappointed. I would recommend Chris for any landscaping project and also for lawn maintenance.

Once I got a hold of him, he came and was very knowledgeable of what we needed done. The first time the service was done, he was also present to oversee the project. That was the last time we saw him. His workers did not maintain our property good enough for our HOA, had to leave message (never returned our calls to talk in person to answer our questions) every month to remind him that it was overdue for service. Have since found some who follows thru and communicates much better. If CJ would have done our maintenance, I feel it would have been better, at least if he was on location during the maintenance.

Great job. Came to the house and gave me an estimate within 48 hours of my inquiry. Had a bit of a delay getting started because of an equipment problem but kept me well informed throughout the process. Really did a nice of removal and cleaning up. Will hire again to plant.

Overpriced and didn't follow instructions. Put a flower bed on the side of house that it goes unseen. He was supposed to replant a bunch of Ti plants in front of the home that can't handle the afternoon sun. The Ti in the front of my home were not relocated, they remain. I gave specific instruction where I wanted mulch put based on visibility and order of importance in this order [1. Front, 2. Back of home on canal, North side (visible from street) and South side- invisible] . Landscaper proceeds to put a $250. flower bed on the side of my house that is invisible to public and the last place I wanted mulch for that reason! I asked him to only mulch that area of the home if there was enough mulch left over to do so. I had to go out purchase more mulch for him to mulch the back of the home which was the 2nd location , I had to go out and purchase more mulch He blamed his worker and had an excuse for everything...

Yes, I will continue to use this provider in the future.

Chris was honest and did what he said he would do. He was on time and schedule and he cleaned. Up after he was finished . We are pleased with CJ's and will use the again.

They've been great. We will use them again. He has done some landscaping and next year we probably will have him re-landscape the entire property. It was a great experience. He is very knowledgeable and conscientious. His price was good.

The new gardens are beautiful. The job was completed on time at the agreed upon price. The quality of the plants are excellent. There were no unexpected extra costs or issues. Chris is a very knowledgeable professional. He was successful in helping me to achieve the look I desired for my landscape.

It had been more than 15 years since anything has been done to cleanup the bushes, trees, and weeds. it was completely overgrown with some trees more than twenty five feet tall. I live out of state so I was unable to meet Chris in person. There was an element of trust from my relationship with Angie's List to decide to go forward. It worked out perfectly. Our home has not looked this good since the day we moved here in 2006. In the 2 months since the work was completed, the yard has stayed in beautiful condition, in large part due to the correct selection of plants, use of appropriate ground cover, and the care that was done in the preparation of the planters. Needless to say, we could not be happier with the professionalism and service provided by Chris Swezey and his crew. Would definitely use this company again, and have already recommended to others.

Not very well. At first everything seemed ok, then we were told they had under estimated the cost of the job and needed more money, which we provided. They purchased more mulch, put some of it down then left the rest in the bags in our yard. The job was never finished, but they were paid in full. We called several times and never received a return call.

I interviewed three other landscapers before hiring Chris Swezey. None of them quite understood the plan I had in mind or how to accomplish it; Chris understood almost immediately. We had several conversations about the plants, the design, and then Chris and his crew (hard workers they are) executed the plan, making necessary and excellent changes as the work progressed. Chris ordered all the plants, and the actual work of planting 13 trees (counting 11 pots of 9'-15' bamboo as trees), a large bird of paradise, a Chinese fan palm, ferns, plumbago, tea olive, silver buttonwood, other shrubs, and ground cover throughout, as well as changes to the irrigation system and mulching everything, took three days with some minor follow-up. Chris answered all my questions before the work began, as the work progressed, and when it was finished. Excellent work; excellent result. I intend using him for yearly maintenance of my landscape.

Chris showed up on time for both the estimate and the work. The contract clearly stated the quantity of new plants and the types. They reflected our need for low maintenance, low water usage, and color. He gave us a date for installation and met his promise. Once the landscaping was in place, we needed some changes in the sprinkler system, he provided that as well. Although an add on, the cost was reasonable.

Chris and his crew were very professional and punctual. They started the job right on time and finished the project in only three days. Yes that is right?in only three days my yard was transformed from BLAH to Tropical Paradise!!! Chris in an artist when it comes to landscaping?he looked at my yard and I told him what I wanted and now my backyard in better than I could have dreamed. I wanted a large patio?tropical plants and low maintenance!!! The CJ Landscaping crew delivered and exceeded my expectations!!! The paver patio was extended from my original cement patio with thin pavers over the existing cement and thick pavers for the rest of the patio giving me 242 sq. feet of hardscape. The rest of the yard has all my tropical plants and my palm trees?divided by a curving line of natural rock. Chris even did extra work that was required (moved sprinklers?etc.) and did not charge me ?HE STUCK TO HIS ORIGINAL QUOTE!!! In short the work was done faster than expected and the end result just blew me away!!! After a week I still am shocked when I open my back door and see that this is MY Tropical Paradise. I am super happy and highly recommend CJ Landscaping!!! Thank you Chris!!!

Chris did an excellent job researching deer resistant and low maintenance plants for our front beds. We have re-planted these beds numerous times, and our local deer population still eats the majority of the "deer resistant" plantings that we have had planted. It has been several days, and everything that he has planted has remained untouched! Not only do the deer seem to be avoiding our plantings, but Chris also managed to find low maintenance plants that flower - we have a nice variation in color and height of the plantings. Our yard looks great. Thanks!
