Initially, (October, 2015), the original contracted job to lay pavers around the pool deck and patio area was done in a shoddy, hasty, and incomplete manner - by workers who seemed impersonal, careless, and unprofessional, However, when we later notified the owner of our marked dissatisfaction, he himself immediately came to inspect. He was most professional, courteous, and apologetic, and he promptly authorized other laborers, who corrected and properly completed the project. The last of the laborers whom he later sent to finish the project was very conscientious, respectful, and attentive to detail. Ultimately, we were very satisfied with Sugarmill Woods' paver job. We appreciated the cordial readiness of Joe, the owner/manager, to do all that was necessary for our complete satisfaction.

basically he did what he said he would do for the price he said he would charge. it was a great experience and I will use his service again.

It is been a year and this project came out better than I could have ever dreamed. The whole time working closely with the owner Joseph Dawson where no question was stupid and we worked together to come up with some fantastic designs for the project. All and all my experience with Sugarmill Woods Pool & Spa was great! I trusted Joseph with some of the fine details that I was unable to visualize with this being my first project at my home on such a large scale. I'm very glad I did because the pool & deck really have come to life! I recommend this company to all!

If you hire this contractor retain an attorney, doesn't complete work. His craftsmanship is worse than an F rating. He is not respective of your land or your home. He makes one terrible mess. Shows up for maybe 3-4 hours per week. Started project on December 8th, here we are april 8th. I still do not have a swim able pool. Homeowner beware! I will have to hire another pool company at another expense to fix this.

Over a six week period (mid March thru April, 2013) Sugarmill Woods Pool & Spa was hired to clean and maintain our swimming pool. The pool was never properly cleaned. I had the water analyzed 4 times by 3 different businesses during the month of April, and the chemicals were always way off balance. Joseph C. Dawson, owner of the company was always attempting to sell me more jobs (removing a stain that didn't exist for a mere $300) or more equipment that didn't need replaced (such as a new $800 filter). He did convince me that the plumbing around the pool pump needed to be redone to prevent damage to the pump. He did a terrible job, left a terrible mess, and never came back to complete the job. He also raised his price over and above the price we verbally agreed to. I had to hire a different company to take over the pool cleaning and maintenance, and another different company to redo the poor plumbing job and stop leaks at both ends of my pump. Since they did a terrible job, and didn't properly finish it, I refused to pay their last bill. They say that they're filing a contractor lien on my house. Mr. Dawson is a mere shyster, doing terrible work, and trying to intimidate his customers into paying high dollar for unnecessary jobs and/or equipment. I have reported him to the Florida Dept of Business and Professional Regulation hoping to get his license revoked.
