All About Asphalt

If you are looking to get driveway repaved, do not call All About Asphalt. We had our driveway repaved over 2 weeks ago. I've given Heath 3 weeks to fix his mistakes and heard nothing. No followup after the work was done. Surface is bumpy. Feels like a cheap carnival ride when driving over it. Many high and low areas. Edges are not feathered to existing walks and garage. One inch step at a concrete pad in the back. No cleanup done, chunks of asphalt in grass. Roller marks in a few places. Edges not straight at lawn. Grass growing through areas where paving is uneven. Pooling water when it rains or irrigation runs. This morning I found an eight inch bar embedded in the asphalt where it could have flattened a tire. Heath and Andy were training 2 newbies and the workmanship shows it. Asphalt was cold and they did not heat it to roll it out.

Thought everything was going well, but I believe their problem is they came with a matchbox toy "roller", and didn't drive it around anywhere near what was needed. If they'd have made 50 slow passes over each part of the driveway, it would have come out better. One fast pass over each part is not how it's done. If you want to cut corners on the rolling, get a real roller. Maybe man-up and call me back and make it right.

My driveway is pretty old and needed some maintenance. Thankfully a friend told me about All About Asphalt. I gave them a call and they quickly came over and quoted me a good price to get my driveway sealed up and looking good as new! Greatly recommend this company to anyone needing a facelift for their driveway or even installing a brand new one!

They didn’t put enough on to do any good. Don’t waste your time on these people.

Paved our driveway with asphalt millings,compacted to 2"and sealcoated. We did not drive on driveway for 3 days. There are a bunch of ruts and sealcoating is off over most of driveway. Called Heith Cabrera who is supposed to be owner operator of company about this he was supposed to come out but never did. Also were supposed to have a 2 year warranty which he is trying to weasel out of. Pretty sad when you go around scamming elderly people out of money.

Did a great job

I requested bids from Angie's List about seal coating a small 100 foot long, roughly 10 foot wide section of our driveway in mid-May 2022. Heath from All About Asphalt promptly responded with a phone call, gave me an estimate on that phone call, and generally talked a good game -- from the professionalism and responsiveness of his company to the warranty that would come with the service. So, I hired him and scheduled the work for one week from that phone call. Heath indicated that his brother -- Andy -- would be the worker performing the service and that he would arrive in a two hour window on the scheduled day. Heath said that Andy would trim back the grass away from the driveway, pressure wash the drive, and then seal coat the driveway with a high quality non-water based sealer. On the day of my appointment, Andy arrived in the appointment window and because I had already cut the grass back from the drive, he did not need to do that step. He blew the drive with a hand-held blower and then began sealing the asphalt. The entire process from his arrival to departure took less than 30 minutes, and I was a little concerned that the driveway was not thoroughly cleaned before the sealer was applied. I was told that the "sealer would be fine" and that we should not drive on it for a day or two. We left town that day for 5 days and there was no foot traffic or vehicle traffic on the drive until we returned. When we saw the driveway upon our return, it looked very uneven -- like there was actually no sealer in some locations at all-- and almost looked as bad as before we had it sealed. Our neighbor said we had a torrential rain the day before we returned (4 days after the sealer was applied -- Heath said rain on the day of application would not hurt the sealer), and I have no idea what happened to our seal coat, but it certainly did not look good when we returned home and after that first heavy rain (in the two weeks since that time the driveway has continued to look worse and worse as well). I called Heath and left a voicemail and also texted him with some photos and asked if he or his brother could come look at our driveway and tell us why it looked so bad and what could be done about it. Despite repeated attempts to contact him, he has not returned my calls or texts. Further frustrating my wife and I was a comment that Andy made when he completed the service that he or Heath routinely drive by the seal coat jobs they do 7-14 days after installation to touch up any spots that need it. Unfortunately for me, I paid with a check and there is no recourse to recoup our money except filing a police report or making a small claims court claim (we contacted our bank to see what recourse we had, and unfortunately, the bank was not able to assist us). So, based on these experiences and the lack of responsiveness to our concerns about the work that was performed, we certainly cannot recommend this company and caution all potential customers about hiring All About Asphalt. It is very disappointing that Heath and Andy did not stand behind their work and their product as they said they would. This was, sadly, a waste of $500.

I contacted him and wanted him to come back and cover the driveway and to remove rivets but, he said he is very busy. He said he will comeback when he can. He denied the warranty.

Made a deal on a handshake, came home later in the day and the job was completely done. Heath did an excellent job. Will definitely use him again in the future.

Great, very professional and quality materials

The work was quick and the quality was good. Be careful about estimates based on Google images because much more work may be needed than in the initial estimate. I'm glad to have driveway restored for several more years.

Did such a good job and is always reliable. Would definitely hire again. Prices are amazing too, he even cut me a deal on my driveways, since it was so big. No job to big!!!

Very nice young man my driveway was cracking and faded so I had him recoat it and fill in the cracks all the way down my drive way, looks amazing now love the work.
