Plumber Mikes

We had a double leak from the main water supply to our home. I called him last week (Friday) and set an appointment for Monday (yesterday). He called ahead of time to confirm our appointment and was here promptly. He came prepare not only to give me an estimate, but to complete the job. He is very knowledgable, and worked fast and efficiently. He even explained as he worked what he was doing, and he was very friendly. I would use him again in the future, and I highly recommend him.

After about 15 years, our hot water tank was rusted out; puddling with water on top of the unit and underneath the tank. I contacted Plumber Mike's after reading the many great reviews on Angie's List. True to reviews, Mike arrived to give us an estimate about an hour after we spoke on the phone. He gave us a fair price and ordered the new tank for delivery with his 2 men the next day to perform the service. Lonnie & John showed up 15 minutes after the scheduled time and quickly went to work. The guys were pleasant, worked efficiently, finished the job on schedule and while waiting around to test that the heating elements were working, they cleaned up the floors and hosed down the driveway where they had been working. They even trouble shot a misplaced tube in the tank of our bathroom toilet, which had slipped out and was causing the bowl to not fill up with enough water. No charge on that! Excellent service and performance. I would definitely use Plumber Mike's again

When I called the make the appointment, I asked about the "window of time" that was available. They assured me there was no window, whatever time I wanted would be the time the plumber showed up. I was DELIGHTED when I made a 10 o'clock appointment and Joe was at my front door right on time! Joe took a look around at everything that needed to be done and suggested that we schedule a second appointment to do the majority of the work...that way I could go and purchase the faucets for the bathrooms (Joe told me exactly what size to buy) and he could install them, fix all the pipes under the sink (we had changed sinks a number of years ago--had a plumber come in to move the garbage disposal unit and he had pipes, clamps and fixes all over the place that took up almost all the room under the sink), and then he could bring a helper to move the washer/dryer. Before he left he fixed the leaky pipe under the sink so that I could use it until he could rebuild the pipes. Joe came back the next day with his helper and they got all the work done. Joe was absolutely wonderful, he explained everything he was doing and why and I felt absolutely comfortable that I had a very competent plumber working in my house! When he finished replacing the pipes under my kitchen sink I couldn't believe it! Not only were there no clamps holding pipes together, but he reduced all the "gooseneck" pipes. I ended up being able to store a lot more under the sink with all those erroneous pipes out of the way. I highly recommend Plumber Mikes for all of your plumbing needs and they will be my plumber from here on out!

I was very pleased with the process, and the results, from setting the appointment to the completion of the job. Joe did a great job and represented his company well. I will use these folks again.

Mike created a new drain field at our home. I liked their professionalism, and quality of service. I will definitely use them again if I need to.

Initial contact and appointment setup was very quick and easy and done professionally. The tech who came out was Joe and he was prompt. He was professional, courteous and did the job correctly and quickly considering the conditions. The job was fairly simple for a professional but it was made much harder by the fact the space under the sink is very tight. Joe was extremely careful to make sure the area was clean after he finished. I would recommend them and use them again.

Everything was fine and went as expected.

We had a plastic water pipe spring a leak over Thanksgiving, which cause a lot of water damage. I made a temporary repair using a rubber compression fitting inside a cavity wall, but was not happy with that on a long term baisis. Called Plumber Mikes to give me an estimate for a more reliable fix. Came same day, gave me a reasonable price and did the work immeidiately. Excellent company to deal with.

James did an excellent job fixing several issues in our "new" home. He was especially helpful in providing an outdoor faucet that my husband who has MS could use easily. He was thorough in his explanation of the type of replacement faucet we needed for our kitchen such that while he did other things I was able to go get the style I liked with the requirements of our plumbing and counters. Much appreciated!!

I told them that I had an errand to run and I would be home by 8:30am. The guy called me and he said that their guys were on their way and would be there by 9:30am. No one ever showed up and after and hour of waiting for them I called back and the guy answered the phone saying it was Fred's Plumbing and that I had the wrong company.

I was very happy with him. My experience with him was awesome. I have used him twice.

For a Saturday night call at 5:40pm, they had someone at my door in an hour! Kevin was very polite and professional. He looked at the faucet, then came back in with his bag of tools. He was kind enough to explain everything, every step of the way. He seemed very knowledgable and concerned about proper installation.

Mike and his crew were responsive, professional and went beyond the call of duty in my time of need! I had an emergency faucet that was pouring out water… and unfortunately the shut off valve was broken as well! Mike’s expert Joe was on the problem in less than an hour after my initial call! Mike’s crew was courteous and kind enough to plan their work days around our busy family schedule! I couldn’t have asked for more in service or quality work!! Mike you run a FIRST RATE business! We had a main drain that was plugged and James had to go up on the roof to clear the problem in the drain. Then I noticed that the toilet was leaking underneath so he also removed the toilet, clean up the floor and re-set the toilet in place. Very satisfied with the professional work and the attitude of James. I also received a follow up call from the owner to verify my satisfaction with the work. We are very pleased. I recommend them for plumbing work.

Everything, from start to finish, was super. I called on Tuesday, 11/8, and explained the problem to Milke. We set up an appointment for Friday, 11/11. Mike's assistant, John, came out --- on time --- and fixed the problems described in the above section. John clearly explained to me what had happened at what was needed. He was both personable and professional. The following day, 11/12, Mike, himself, called me simply to ask if I was pleased with the work. I would certainly use them again, if the need ever arises. A solid thumbs-up to this stellar business.

James was the plumber that came out to do the work for us. He showed up on time and did good work. I will call him again if need be.

Plumber found a bigger problem I can't address yet, but the service and information was spot on.

Professional - Right from the start. I called and spoke initially to Mike. After describing my issues he was ab,e to schedule one of his team to be over within 3 hours. Joe, his very competent employee, called me when he was on the way -- reassuring me he was on the way. Joe gave me a detailed estimate for all the work and I told him I would decide -- as we were not in an emergency situation. Later that day, I called Mike and gave him the OK. He accommodated my schedule request. We set a date and on the day of my service, Joe called me to let me know he was going to be a few minutes late -- nice professional touch. Joe was friendly, very competent, and very neat. A REAL pro. Mike has a first rate team and he was a pleasure to do business with. I now do not need to search for a plumber I can trust --- he is Plumber Mike. I highly recommend him.

They came out right away, which is great for plumbers. There is only thing that I didn't like about them. When they first came out they told us that the price would be $225. Then it suddenly became $375, and then they took off the 10% for Angie's List. Otherwise they were great. They replaced two valves. I think they raised the price because they didn't know that there was something wrong with the other valve. They had to rework it, and I think it was not just the valve that they charged for, but for the additional labor as well. The main valve that comes from the water supply into the house was frozen. The reason I shut it off originally was that there was another leaky valve, so I tried to change the washer in that and I shut off the water supply. It wouldn't turn back on again and the guy explained why. In addition to those two valves we had an old water filter on there from years and years ago. It broke, and we asked them to take that off from there, and they did that. They were friendly and did a good job. Their price may have been a little high, but the quality was very good. They put a more modern valve with leather instead of something that is turned. Everything is working well. There are no leaks or anything.

I called Plumber Mike's after hours on the 13th Oct 2011 as we needed help with a leaking tap and the installation of a new faucet. I was able to book an appointment for 9.00am the next morning and was quoted a price of about $195.00 for the installation. When the plumber arrived at 9.00am on the 14th Oct, (on time), he correctly diagnosed that my sink had no hot water and recommended that we install a single unit water heater under the sink. Once we agreed on the price, he left to pick up the unit, returned promptly and installed it along with the faucet with no fuss or mess. It works great, and now we have hot water in what used to be a cold water bar sink. While it cost a little more than we were expecting, we would far rather have hot water than not.... We are impressed by Plumber Mike's service, promptness and efficiency and would definately use them again.

he thought he had fixed it but after 2 days there was a puddle he came back and really investigated and took time to find the problem and fixed the problem and i'm very Happy, they are honest and do good work i would used them again.

Joe came by for an estimate, identify the issue and explained the required work with an estimate. Did not like that they charged $75 for the visit alone for an estimate, but he gave it back to me as credit on the job. Joe changed the drain, made sure it was no longer leaking and cleaned up the area after his work was done. Very polite and professional.
