We had a coordinator who went over the items we had. They went by cubic feet. They made us take our clothes out of the dressers and put them in the boxes. I have never had to remove items from the dressers. This added to the cubic feet. Their boxes were smaller than the boxes they used. They originally gave an estimated contract for $4000. When they came to my home, they increased the estimate to $12000.00. I had to move that day because the house was sold. We negotiated down to $10,000.00. We have moved often and know how the process works and what to expect. They were suppose to come the night before to pack everything. I put my dog in dog care and paid. They never came or called. I spent the whole morning trying to reach them. They finally called around 1 pm that their truck broke down. They came early the next day and the foreman then said it would cost $12000.00. At that point, we had no alternative. We had to pay the 1st installment of $10000.00. They needed another truck at around 10. At 6, the truck hadn't arrived. At 10 pm, still no truck. We had someone in Tampa waiting for us. The solution was to put all of our goods leftoverl on the street. He waited for truck with all of our goods outside while we left. The things went into the warehouse. They moved us in July. I received the truck and checked the items and had items missing. The driver said the foreman said everything was packed. I called the foreman and he said they would send the itmes when they had a truck coming out. It's now about 10 months later and they still have our stuff. I asked them to bring our belongings anywhere close. I have to now go to California, contact someone and get a truck to bring the items home. I asked how much it would cost from California to Washington and he said $2000 in addition to what I have already paid. I called Broward County Consumer Affairs and they said the address is an apartment. This company will not talk to me. They have my items in storage in Florida. I sent them an itemized letter of the items that were still missing. I have sent a certified letter stating the items that were missing and giving a deadline to send the items; otherwise I would be getting an attorney. Nobody should consider hiring this company.
