A-Best Painting Contractors

I purchased a coupon for baseboard trim, but ended up having the common areas in my home painted.This included the kitchen, dinning room, and family room. Richard responded promptly to my call. He came out, looked at my home, and assisted me in selecting colors. They were able to start the job in less than a week once I made a decision. They completed the job in approx a day and a half. There were a few minor issues that I noticed after they left, but when I contacted Richard, he took care of it right away. The quality of the work is great. I've had many complements. The lines at the ceiling and baseboards are crisp and straight. I'm very picky and notice flaws, but I haven't found any. Also, a few days after the work was completed, my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter decided to create a work of art on one of the walls with her crayons. I tried to wah it off, but couldn't get it all off. They took care of it for me.

The owner cam out on time and quoted a price and also suggested other ideas which were very helpfull. His worker came out on time and did a fantastic job on everthing, was very professional and polite,cleaned up perfectly. I wish all contractors were as friendly and punctual as A Best. Definatly would and do tell my friends about them!

Richard was professional from start to finish. I was able to coordinate the entire job from NJ without them actually setting foot into the condo beforehand which in itself was a great advantage. I was able to work off floor plans and get an estimate which proved accurate. All his workers were punctual and hard working. I could not be happier with the results and would recommend them to anyone.

A-Best and team responded quickly from beginning to end. They got started on the job faster than they had anticipated and finished within the expected time.

I thought I was going need two days of painting but really, they could have finished it in one day. They did okay. They were very nice but it was nothing that I couldn't normally have done myself but I was kind of in a hurry so I ended up going with somebody. I probably won't hire painters again. It is not anything against them. It was a little bit of waste of money. They were very helpful, nice and pleasant to work with. They do a clean job. It is just expensive that's all.

My husband and I decided that our house was in dire need of interior painting. I called A-Best and they had Jack call me back to set up a time for an estimate. He was friendly and professional and was willing to discuss areas where I felt a little extra attention might be needed (ceilings and baseboards). He took measurements and I received an estimate by email within two days. From that point I was in contact with the owner, Richard by phone and email and we scheduled the start date and picked colors for the interior. Richard came to my house a few days before the start date to make some suggestions and take some notes for his painters. He was very friendly and helpful. Everyday the painters came ready to get to work. They were punctual and professional. They moved furniture and put any rooms back together at the end of the day that I wanted to use that evening, even if it meant they had to move it out of the way again the next day. They kept me informed of their progress and asked me each morning if I had any concerns or questions. Richard also called a few times to make sure I thought all was going well. The job took five days and when the painters were done Richard came back to do a walk through and make sure everything looked beautiful. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the way the job went from start to finish, and our house looks lovely!

I have to say that this is my first negative review of the numerous companies I have used on Angie's List. The reason for the review was the complete lack of consideration of my time and the frustration of trying to get a call back after six attempts, only to be told after the last attempt that my schedule cannot be accomodated. I do not have an issue with the fact that my schedule cannot be accomodated. It is the fact that I explained my location-South Beach- and my work hours and the times that I am available CLEARLY on the first phone call. I was told that on that Saturday the company may be able to come out and that I would receive a call to confirm. I did not get a call nor did the company come out. I called back and left a message to see what happened-maybe they forgot to call me to say they can't make it?. I did not get the courtesy of a call back. I called back and spoke to Richard who said he had forwarded the message to the person with whom I had initially spoke, Jack, and that he would give me a call. Still, I did not hear back. I called Jack's cell and left a message and still no call back. I called the main number back and spoke again to Richard. Let me be clear on the fact that it is not that he said they will not come out on Saturdays (contradicting Jack) or after 2 pm on a weekday that was as much an issue as the fact that I made my schedule and location crystal clear the first time I called. I was advised in that first conversation that making an appointment would be challenging with my schedule but that we would work something out. Then to not show up that Saturday nor return my calls when I was very diligent and professional with them, I found to be very unprofessional on their behalf. When a customer tries 5 times to reach you, you call back. Then Richard said Jack probably called back and I probably missed it. Let me be clear. I use my cell phone for work and it is always on. If I have a missed call, I see it. It says Missed Call. There were no missed calls nor voicemails---because I did not get a call back. No one showed that Saturday, No one called to say they can't make it. No one called back when I called and even after Richard told me twice that Jack will call me back, no one called. You don't tell a customer something and then not follow through. Unprofessional.

Two painters did an excellent job. They arrived on time, extremely professional and courteous. Very willing to do any painting I needed in the timeframe purchased. They explained what was going to get done and frequently let me know how the job was going. The actual painting was well done, very clean and detail oriented. Wouldn't hesitate to use these painters or the company again. Very good cleanup after job was performed.

I have never worked with a contractor as responsive as richard guitar. he went above, beyond and then even more beyond what would have been expected. when angie's list made a big mistake in the promise of how many hours the client (me) was purchasing in their coupon richard voluntarily added the rather big difference (8 hours of work given in writing by angie's list; while richard had limited the offer to 6 hours included). not on one coupon, but on 2 coupons. as opposed to angie's list (who wouldn't compensate their mistake), richard did come thru! plus - another first in my dealings with miami contractors - he communicates well, responding to emails in a fast and extensive way to make sure his customers are both informed and happy. I am somene who sees services critically and normally 'hates' writing reviews. in this case I'm happy to write a glowing one! because on top of everything the work delievered by his painters was great. not only did I use the coupon for painting of doors; I had his painters continue and paint the whole apartment for a fair price and a good job - results of which can be seen on my facebook page.

Tom and Debbie from A-Best Painting were punctual, friendly and very professional. They did an awesome job. I am very happy with the service I received. I would definitely use A-Best Painting again.

The entire experience was great. Richard was so professional and courteous. He was responsive and had a very fast turnaround time. We called him and immediately (within a couple of days), he had someone out to our home to give us an estimate. The estimate was on 2/14/13, a Thursday, we explained that we wanted the job completed immediately (that weekend) and even though it was extremely short notice, he accomodated us without hassle. He also worked with us on pricing as we were on a tight budget, he was very gracious and kind about that. The painters were equally amazing. Came on time, worked hard and were professional. They completed the job efficiently and the result is top-notch. The walls look absolutely amazing, they made zero mess (all of my kids' furniture was in the center of the rooms and absolutely nothing was damaged or splashed with paint). The painters even swept the rooms before leaving to make sure to pick up any dust created from plastering nail holes. We are completely satisfied with this paint job and this company and will NEVER use anyone but A-Best Painting! We recommend them whole-heartedly.

While I did not end up using A-Best Painting, I was very impressed with experience with them. (I ultimately decided to do the work myself rather than hire someone else). They responded quickly to phone calls and emails, their pricing was competitive, and they were more than willing to accomodate my demanding schedule. I really appreciate the time they spent with me, and I may use them in the future. Thanks Richard and Jack!

A-Best Painting Contractors did beautiful work.

Our experience with them is excellent. They really are a good company. They gave me a big enough crew so that they could get the job done, because I had to live in a hotel with my husband. When you live in a condo in Florida, in a high rise, there's nowhere to hide when they're painting and they painted the whole place. So, we had to be out and they did all the doors and all the rooms. They repaired the walls. They said some of it needed more caulking. They did a very beautiful job and they did it quickly. And they're very nice to deal with. The people there were experts in what they were doing. I thought they were very, very good. They were very careful. They really put drop cloth everywhere. They really knew what they were doing. In particular, one thing, I had a lot of art work, which we took down, except for one particular thing on the wall that I couldn't, because it was glued to the wall. And they painted around lots of angles and they took their time and they really had to use an artist's brush to get close enough to that. And everything they did, they did well. They are a superior painting company.

Very pleased with the work performed. We recently put on a new roof and decided to change the color of the trim to match the new roof. Richard's team was efficient and the end product looks great, resulting in a new look to our home. We also had a number of interior doors and frames that has yellowed over the years. Once again Richard's team did a wonderful job. We will not hesitate to utilize their services again when the rest of our home needs painting.

Richard, the company owner came to a**** the problem and to propose a solution. He arrived exactly on time on the day we had agreed to meet. He was warm and very pleasant and exhibited a full understanding of the predicament we were in. He prepared a thorough written proposal for all the work and explained it in detail. Since we began speaking with him shortly before Christmas, the work couldn't begin until just after the New Year. Richard remembered to send us e-mail reminders on packing up our possessions properly to protect them from damage by chlorine and to inquire on what insurance forms were required by our condo. On the second of January a team of three painters (including one foreman) appeared promptly at 9 am. They were a welcome sight! The three men--Tom, Andy and Eddie worked tirelessly for six days. They were wonderful people with great communication skills. They did a splendid job restoring our apartment to its proper lovely appearance. Richard was careful in selecting the exact correct colors for all of our accent walls and gave us the option to change them if we so desired. His team improved on some of the painting work done by a contractor we had used in a renovation a few years before. Tom, especially, was not one to settle for "good enough." He redid a bathroom ceiling that had been damaged previously because it didn't look good enough to him after he had already finished painting it. That's what I call a real professional. After the job was complete, the crew put all the furniture back in their proper places and left us cans of paint to use for touch-ups. The work was completed in fewer days than Richard projected and I never got the feeling that the crew would be working simultaneously on another project, thus delaying ours. They were totally dedicated to us. Two days after we moved back in, I noticed a few really tiny spots that needed a touch up and Tom graciously came to do them so we'd have 110% satisfaction. What a great company!!!

I purchased an Angies List Deal. The company was very professional both on the phone and in the work done. Highly recommend.

I had talked to the owner, Richard, and he worked with me to extend the life of the Big Deal that was getting ready to expire in a few weeks. It was Christmas time and he said he would honor the Big Deal after the expiration date of January 3rd, 2013. We talked briefly on the 8th, and he said he could send out the 2 painters the next day or the following day, which was a little short notice, but I got it worked out with my employer since Richard was so accommodating with the Big Deal expiration. I called him the night of the 8th at 7pm and told him I was available for the next day, the 9th. He assured me the painters would be there at 8am. Initially, I was a little skeptical at first since one of the painters called just before 8am and asked for directions, but then I found out the 2nd painter had pulled a no-show and they had to call in a 2nd painter unexpectedly and that he would be there shortly. All work began by 8:30am, which was fine considering the circumstances they had to overcome. Candy, the first painter, arrived and asked the scope of the job. I explained what I would like done and she began filling nail holes with spackle while Brad, the second painter, was on his way. Once Brad arrived, the rest of the work got underway, and was all done in a courteous, professional manner.

They sent one painter who worked efficiently however the other was very inefficient.

Richard was very accommodating and helpful. He came out several times to give us an estimate and go over details. A-Best was one of several estimates we received and we chose them based on the thoroughness and detail of the prework experience. We had them work in our house while we were away and came home to find everything complete and well done. We are very happy with the result and will now choose A-Best for all our painting needs.

My family and I had used A-Best painting in the past when they painted the interior of our house a year ago. A-Best did a wonderful job and completed that job on time. We had a very difficult schedule that had to be met and they worked day and night to make sure it was done. We were left with a very professional, solid paint job. The clean up went above and beyond. This time we had A-Best Painting paint the exterior of our house. When we first moved in we had the home painted by another company and we were never happy. This time with A-Best the exterior paint job looked outstanding. There were no longer any open seams as they patched and caulked everything. The paint job they did was superior and left our home looking brand new. We now have the best looking home on the block both in and out. They even made my new front metal door look like wood. They said it was a faux/graining effect which looks great. My sincere thanks to Angie's List for coming through once again with a gem of a painting company. Thank you so much A-Best for your communication and your superior painting.

They were very nice people, but they need to use painters tape around windows and remove switch plates in the room. Prep work is the most important part of painting.
