Would definitely recommend. From start to finish everything was just super! Chris was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in the design, selection and planning. He also communicated status updates and install occurred as promised. The installation is the highest quality workmanship. Everything is just perfect. AND they were able to repair a previously undiscovered damaged cabinet bottom on the spot. The attention to detail is rare these days and very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend A-1 Custom Mica. I selected them based on the good reviews on Angie's List and those great reviews are definitely confirmed!

Kitchen looks brand new. The cabinets and drawers were as promised. Chris came out for the estimate, and promised to be here with his employees, the entire time, and he was. No 'over-runs' on cost. Chris and his team (Fred & John) showed up on time, ready to work. Finished in the # of days promised (actually a little less). Any concerns I had were responded to, and Chris never pushed back and was open to discussing and resolving any issues that might arise. This is so unusual in contractors. I am extremely attentive to detail. I would hire this company again, and/or recommend them highly, because Chris is also a 'detail' person and stands behind his promise that 'you will be really happy and satisfied' when work is completed. This is a small family owned business, which I think makes a difference, when the owner shows up for the workday. If only they were full service contractors (plumbing, electrical, roof, etc.), I would never have to go looking again. Thanks to Chris and his team for the transformation to our kitchen, as well as the pleasure dealing with you!

I could not be happier with Chris' work! When Chris came to my home to show me all his samples and give me an estimate, I was very impressed to find out that he does the actual cabinet making and replacement work as well as sales. I was also extremely grateful that Chris offered to squeeze the work in between my out of state trips for family graduations, weddings and birthdays, and did so happily! Chris is so very knowledgeable and professional! I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the cabinets and drawers he made for me. The remodel that Chris suggested resulted in more cabinet space for me. In addition he recommended a wonderful dry wall man to remove my mold problem, named Super Dave. The end of the story is that Chris did really excellent work and finished a day early. He was professional and accommodating and friendly. I have recommended him to all my neighbors and would absolutely call him again for future home projects. I intend to ask Super Dave to help me with additional repairs. I am a very happy customer!

I can't speak to the cost of my kitchen because this was an insurance claim and the contractor hired this company as a subcontractor, but I did ask for a quote on a dining room wall unit and the price was fantastic. As for everything else, I can only say that I've never worked with a company that was more professional or punctual. Chris was who I dealt with and he regularly kept me in the loop and would continually keep me apprised of the next step. The quality and installation is top notch, and my friends requested their information when they saw my kitchen. I got exactly what I wanted, and it was 100% customized for me.

Chris helped me reconfigure and renovate my kitchen. He was able to use a very long, narrow, back wall to build custom buffet cabinets, giving me a huge amount of additional storage. He added deep drawers for my pots. He even took the time to measure my gigantic pasta pot to make sure it would fit! Once we settled on a plan he drew it all out to scale and emailed the drawings so I could see exactly what I was getting. What a pleasure it was to work with Chris. Young, bright, and enthusiastic, he responded quickly to my messages and was open to tweaking things as the kitchen renovation evolved. Chris communicated frequently with me and my awesome tile contractor so there were no delays and installation went off without a hitch. In the bathroom he installed a custom vanity and adjusted the height for my comfort. The cabinets are sturdy and well constructed with adjustable shelves. Beautiful work. Love this guy!

Chris approximated the job to take a few weeks to build everything (not at my home) and 2 days for installation. He was true to his word and I am overjoyed. Chris is honest, punctual, clean, and a great craftsman. I will use him again and recommend him to all my friends.

Chris was wonderful to work with and the kitchen is gorgeous. From the first time I contacted him, Chris was professional, caring, efficient and helpful. He happily came with me to see a finished kitchen he had done for another customer as I had never seen a refaced kitchen. When we had trouble choosing a color from small samples, he had larger ones made of our top 3 choices. Chris kept us in the loop through the whole process by calling to give us progress reports such as when the doors were delivered to be stained. If he said he would call at a certain time, or come by at a certain time, he did. Chris and his worker John completed the job in less than 2 days. They worked quickly and with a minimum of noise and mess for the amount and type of work they did. I am delighted with the finished kitchen and would definitely use the company again and recommend them to anyone else.

Everything went very well. Chris at A-1 came out promptly to give me a price and called me several times to keep me posted on the progress - he was building the cabinet but the doors had to be ordered. When the cabinet was ready, Chris called to schedule right away, then worked around my plumber's schedule to pick an install date. Very professional and friendly.
