+ -1 moreWhile we didn't use Philip J Mullin Air Conditioning & Heating LLC for our new HVAC, his three references, one of 15 years, 5 years and a new one gave him extremely high marks in doing the job correctly without cutting corners.
Description of Work: While we didn't go with Phil's company for our AC replacement, we felt he made a convincing presentation of his products he is a Frigidaire Factory authorized installer and services and deserved an Angie's List great review. Phil offers an extended labor warranty guarantee on his services for an attractive additional cost. Phil provided 3 great references which we called each one and they were indeed excellent. His pricing was great on a straight cool - a little under $5,000 offered for a 15 SEER Each system is different depending on the needs a person has for their home. By our choice, we were quoted for a Straight Cool unit with heat stripes because here in our part of Florida, as it really doesn't get that cold to justify a Heat Pump unit for us, but everyone's choice and need level is different. We really use the Air Conditioning part here in the Clearwater, Florida area. This excludes us from DUKE Energy rebates, but with the higher SEER level in the AC portion we think we will make up for the difference, as the summers get hotter. Why we didn't go with Phil though, was because we required Thermaflex Ever Clean for air conditioning air tubes because of allergies we have which to us, was worth the additional cost. However Phil's pricing was definitively higher than others on the Thermaflex Ever Clean for this additional personal need. To sum it up, if we were going with a price only under $5,000 on a new Air Conditioning system excluding the new tubes we would have probably gone with Phil he had the best price on the equipment of the 6 quotes we had. He has a very good follow up team and I felt they could have done a great job.

+ -1 moreThe things not working and my boss can't get him to fix the problem. Now something about a thermostat and possibly a short or broken wire. This thing is practically new and hasn't worked worth a crap. It's hot as h*** and I'm tired of it!!!!

+ -1 moreI've always used Phil and I'll continue in the future for maintenance. He resolved the situation for me and he didn't charge me anything. He was here for about an hour checking things out. I'm very happy. I would absolutely use him in the future. He always comes right away when I call him which I appreciate very much.
Description of Work: He checked up something for me. I had a little glitch in my system and he fixed it for me. I purchased the whole system from him. I purchased new equipment from him.

+ -1 moreExcellent job. Arrived 10 minutes prior to scheduled time. Called 20 minutes prior to arrival. Diagnosed problem within 5 minutes. Determined unit was still under warranty. Located part at local distributor. Picked up part, returned and had the unit running in no time. Checked Freon level and vacuumed drain line. Overall a friendly, professional and comfortable experience. I feel as though this is someone I can trust. Which is one of the most important things I look for when choosing a service technician!
Description of Work: Diagnosed A/C issues and replaced blower motor. Acquired motor under warranty and only charged labor charge. Note: this company did not install the A/C unit originally. The original installer has disappeared.

+ -1 morePhil arrived at the specified time and from the start, very honest and knowledgeable. Fixed the problem of his valued added services made us feel comfortable.
Description of Work: Full HVAC inspection. Added 2 lbs of R22 in system. Maintenance to compressor outside. Fixed evaporator coil leak. No freon leak.
