Capps Roofing

Didn't end up using this roof contractor. Received quotes from three different companies. Capps roofing quote was $13,000.00 more than the 2nd highest quote and $15,000.00 higher than the lowest quote. Used the company with the lowest quote, paid $16,000.00 for new roof and had excellent results, beautiful new roof, no problems at all. Buyer beware! Do your homework and get three quotes, I could have paid double with Capps Roofing if I didn't do my homework!

They were prompt to return my call through to the assessment of the roof repair. They repaired the roof quickly and needed to come back to lay the tiles. This first time was done in a timely manner and without a reminder. Then another leak appeared after a heavy rainfall. I called and they came quickly to assess that there was a part of the roof that was missed and that they would repair it without further cost to me. This impressed me. The fact that they honored their workmanship and came out to repair it in a timely manner. Highly recommend Capps Roofing.

They did a nice professional job. They left no mess and it didn't leak.

The crews were always on time, worked throughout the day and cleaned up at the end of each day. The crews were very polite and courteous. I live in a gated community and had many "experts" observe the entire process. All comments I heard were very positive which I found amazing (if you know what I mean). From my observations, I feel I got a top of the line job and will have a roof that will last me through my life time and/or upon the sale of my house will increase my value.

My hat is off to Blake Capps and his crew of roofers especially Steve who did the initial inspection. Steve explained how everything would work and he was on the money. The crew showed up when they were suppose to and were very professional. At the end of each day they cleaned up the yard and left it as they first found it. The roof looks great. After the roof was on Blake had a gutter company replace all the gutters and they finished the job in a day. I would highly recommend this company for any of your roofing needs.

You will read a lot of great reviews here for Capps roofing because their work is second to none. Great care was taken to keep the area close to the house from being disturbed and the attention to detail was over the top. The thing that impressed me was the attitude of all the workers, you got the sense they all liked their job and who they worked for. I would use them again in a minute.

They came, they saw and they fixed. I did not need to follow up because they were always a step ahead of me in the process. Very professionally done. Having a roof replaced in Florida can be quite an experience given the need to provide hurricane protection and not get taken by the numerous disreputable service providers in the state. Capps roofing provided a professional installation from start to finish. I interviewed 15 companies before I hired Capps and received varying degrees of pricing and scope of work that would be performed. Here are the three main reasons I hired Capps. The first is that they started work without a deposit. This is pretty unheard of in the industry and certainly relieved all my concerns about someone walking away with my deposit without doing anything which is a serious concern in Florida. The second is that they do not charge for additional parts and labor for rotten decking, fascia or beams above a fixed amount which is also unique. The third is that they accepted responsibility for any damage to the property in their contract. The amount of fine print in other contracts that denied any responsibility for any and all damage was quite disappointing but Capps was willing to step up to the plate. Their contract was simple and to the point. Here is what we will do. Here is how much it will cost. Blake Capps was also willing to modify his contract to reflect some concerns of mine and at all times was reasonable in every aspect of the job. On this job I had a need to install windows coincident with the roofing and this needed to be coordinated with another vendor. A sure fire scenario for finger pointing. Capps roofing made sure that the work was well coordinated and I also received praise from the window company regarding the professionalism of Capps workers. Due to fascia damage I needed to have some enclosed screens pulled back from the house for access. Capps roofing expedited getting another vendor in to do this work and I was also please with the results of his recommendation and ability to get this taken care of so quickly. I have observed other companies rip up roofs and complete the dry in and then walk away for an inexplicable period. Blake made sure that once the job started it was completed as soon as possible given weather and material delivery constraints. I would have no hesitation to use their services again or recommending them to anyone interested in a worry free roofing experience. If you haven't had your home reroofed in Florida keep the following in mind. When the gutters are ripped off for access they will need to be replaced. This is not part of your roofing contract and you will have to arrange for this and any fascia painting by someone else. Make sure the roofer you hire is licensed, has insurance and workers comp insurance. Ask for references. Make sure the start date and approximate completion date is on the contract. Find out how many years they are in business. What is the warranty on materials and services? Make sure all of this is included in your contract. Hire Capps roofing and you will be pleased.

CAPPS staff did an excellent job on our roof repairs. They started the job as scheduled and worked consistently until it was finished. They also did additional trim painting without charging extra! All the workers where very respectful and professional. The work teams, supervisor and the owners quickly responded to my questions and requests. I could not ask for a better job or better company to deal with. I recommend CAPPS to anyone who needs roof replacement or repair.

Fast, efficient and professional. Had called a number of other roofers, either they did not call me back or said they would and never did. Capps called, showed up when they said they would.

Blake, Mark and Steve were honest, direct, transparent and easy to work with. Compared to the competition they were a bit more expensive but negotiated a fair price. Feedback about their work was responded to in a very positive way and minor adjustments were completed beyond expectations. It would be nice if all contractors shared their values. Highly recommend them.

It all went well and the workers were polite, professional and showed great pride in their work.

Very professional and friendly owners and employees. Met with Mark Capps and he examined roof inside and out in the area of suspected leaks. Repairs were done within a week. Repairs to 2 leaks were made first day. A few days later tiles were reinstalled. Work is under warranty for a year.

Did not hire them. They were busy the job was small so they bid it very high.

First contact was great with details provided on what our options were. Rather that inspect the roof from a ladder, they went up on the roof for a detailed inspection, finding another problem area that another contractor had missed. We were quickly provided several quotes for our different options (repair vs replace) and in telephone conversations, all questions were answered. Installers were professional and cleaned up each day. I was provided detailed pictures to submit to my insurance company to receive credit for the new roof. Outstanding job overall!!!!!

We were promptly contacted by the company representative who was both professional and knowledgeable. In no time we had an estimate and the representative followed up to respond to any questions we might have. The estimate was fair and competitive; as such, we agreed to sign a contract and there have been no regrets. They performed quality work in a timely manner keeping an open line of communication at all times.

It went well until I got the price for the work I wanted done. I felt the price was too high, so I requested a quote to replace the entire roof, I changed my mind when they called, I decided to go with another roofer. I'm disappointed they did not try to renegotiate the price since I want to deal with AL providers.

Showed up as promised to see the issue. Scheduled work for the same week and completed the repairs quickly and right the first time. They may have been a little more expensive than I would have liked but you get what you pay for! I highly recommend.

I called and they responded in one day and came out when they said to give me an estimate. They responded with the estimate via email and upon signing the estimate, they called and came the next day. I was expecting a longer wait.They replaced a double row of shingles and one board around the leak. Three men worked all day. They were neat and professional and cleaned up well. Of course the roof is not leaking at this time and I am sure it will not. My only regret is that I wanted the leak fixed so rapidly that I did not get another estimate. Seemed like a high price, but, am not sure as I did not get any other estimate. I thoroughly relied on Angies List recommendation.

Good job. Did not paint and sand facia board to my satisfaction. Needs another coat of paint and sanding.

Showed up on time and appeared very professional. They quickly fixed a leak in my barrel tile roof and checked to be sure that the repair was good by drenching the roof with water. Great price and service. They also cleaned up as if no one had ever been there. Now I have a new leak in a completely different area and I am calling them to get the new roof leak repaired. Can't give a better recommendation than that! Use these guys and you won't be sorry.
