They will screw up your house, cause mold and water damage until you notice and can afford to clean it, then tell you it isn’t their problem anymore. Enjoy the work. You’ll be redoing every bit of it (and paying for it) twice. Details: I bought a home with impact glass windows installed by this company. Since it was only 3-4 years since install (I will have to check paperwork again) I figured we were in good shape. New windows, right? Wrong. I am now (1 year later) spending several thousand dollars to treat the mold in my walls around the windows that is now coming through the drywall and paint. Then I will have to have the floors and drywall around those areas redone since the moisture caused warping in the flooring(no quote here, yet). I also have several thousand going toward fixing the windows, the seals (that leak air right through the frame) and the trim, which means having every window in my house pulled apart and redone. When I called, the response I got was (sarcasm warning) FANTASTIC! It is beyond the one year warranty so they won’t even look at them. No apologies; no inspection; no offers. Nothing. Do not accept any warranty or guarantee. The work is garbage and will destroy your house before you figure it out and they will just say “it’s out of warranty” which is one year. ONE year to figure out if they did it right. So I hope you are a window installer or contractor who knows what they should be doing and watches every step they take.

My window installation is complete after 10 weeks, but the process was an absolute nightmare. I have summarized my specific grievances below: On numerous occasions, instructions were ignored by the Sunshine crew, leading to damage and extra work In particular, stucco was severely damaged in several places; I had to bring another contractor in to repair the stucco after Sunshine completed their installation There were several errors made during installation, severe enough that the windows initially failed inspection Products promised as part of the original contract were initially withheld There was an almost complete lack of communication, where my sales representative and the sales manager repeatedly and completely ignored all attempts at communication for weeks on end To resolve this stalemate, I was forced to put my credit card payments for the windows in dispute with my credit card issuer. Only then was I contacted by Sunshine’s legal counsel, and only with her help was the installation finally completed after 10 weeks To put that number into perspective, the install was originally supposed to take 3 days There is not much we can do about all the wasted time and aggravation at this point. I have never before dealt with a company that deliberately stonewalls all attempts at communication from a paying customer, and I am honestly astounded that Sunshine is still in business. Given the number of individuals involved, this appears to be a systemic problem in the company. The only thing I can do now to to warn other customers to stay away!!!
