Description of Work: We met, he gave me an estimate, I gave him 50% for production, with 3 week time period. 2 weeks in he started giving excuses and had nothing to show for the deposit (photos of work in progress, installment appointment, nothing...). I gave him an extension and asked for the engineering designs, this was late November. He said he'd get on it... weeks of excuses and unanswered messages until mid Jan when he sent me an estimate from a supplier for the job for an additional $1600 when the whole time he said the designs were already in progress!!! I cancelled the whole thing and asked for my money back... it's been 3 weeks and every day he makes up some new reason he couldn't get it to me. |I'd like Angie's List to take action against this business and individual.

Description of Work: I called them on December 8 to schedule an appointment. We scheduled an appointment for today, December 9.

+ -1 moreCarlos has performed work in our condominium for the past several years. He has worked on our vehicle access gates, our pedestrian gates and our access gate motors. This review is only for the pedestrian gate repair but he has done numerous jobs for us in the past. He always responds promptly. He provides me with an estimate, I authorize it and he performs the work immediately. Our previous gate company was unreliable and would often times have to come back and fix their work, often times trying to charge us again. At no point have we ever had to call Carlos to come back and repair work he's already done. He does it right the first time and stands behind his work. He is professional, prompt, courteous and always gives his best price. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Recent work involved repairing our pedestrian gate which was pried open and left off of the hinges. I sent him a text message on Saturday and he responded within 2 hours with a Monday appt. to visit the property and see the work required. After reviewing the work, we discussed it over the phone. Our building maintenance man had attached the gate using sheet metal screws so it was not properly done and the gate would sometimes not close or would slam shut. He recommended that we weld the gate on to make it more secure. He also changed the door closers since the previous one had a bent arm and was getting old since it's on the exterior and exposed to the elements. After the repair was performed, I could stand on the gate and it will not flex downward. The welding work done is solid! It also closes smoother without slamming. Outstanding work, as always.

+ -1 moreThey have done good work for us. They charge for each visit. Sometimes I do have to call them back for the same issues; but it is like a condo, and the gate has a lot of use back and forth for opening as well as closing, so a lot of time I face the same issues. Everything went well with this service. It was very good. They have been good; but there have been times, when I have to tackle them down because I thought it was the repeat service. I felt that I should not have even paid for to begin with.
Description of Work: I used the services of High Tech Access Corp three weeks ago for gate and fencing work.
