BAD!! Did not return call until 3rd time. Asked me to send a picture of the shutter/area that needed fixing in order to estimate if work could be done. I sent the picture and received no additional information/reply. Don't know how they received such high rating based on my experience.

Pros: Affordable price and good quality of shutters, Cons: Took 5-months to complete job from deposit to permit inspection and had to call owner to report installers were removing screws from old panel shutters and leaving holes in the window frames

Came out quick and was told he would email me a detailed estimate. After waiting a week I requested the estimate. Multiple requests were made for the following 2 weeks and not a single response. I also texted him several times, again without a response. DEAD SILENCE. Typicla south Florida contractor service. Dont waste your time. Probably only wants to do installs instead of repairs. Business must be good if you can turn away customers.

Well. Fortunately, we were able to operate the motor once the hangers were installed. Communicating with and encouraging the crew, the work was completed and a fair price was charged. Apparently good people, and (but) typical Miami communication.

They were responsive, on time and seemed to be thorough. I did think that the cost of $175 was a bit much for the service but I had no choice in getting it done. I did have them look at the rest of the shutters and test and lubricate them for an additional $175. Not inexpensive but not totally unreasonable either.

I love the prompt responce and prices.

Shutter was fixed. We did have some difficulty scheduling the work. It took numerous calls to set the appointment but when it was eventually arranged they showed up on schedule.

Even though AC Shutter was very busy after the Hurricane, they followed up with me several times to get the job done. Their installers came out on time and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes, and gave me advice how to avoid the problem in the future. Best of all, since the installers were my area on another job, AC Shutter did not bill me for the trip charge. I only had to provide a small fee for the installers, which I was glad to take care of.

Armando was awesome. He waited patiently as our HOA took their time in approving the installation. This was just before Hurricane Irma. He came and personally personally completed installation 3 days before the storm hit. I highly recommend this company and their shutters.

Great!! High quality products with great customer service. I have 2 sets of high patio sliding doors that meet at right angle with very little wall space at the corner. Armando was the only contractor that was able to come up with a solution without putting up something at the corner which would have been a huge eye soar. Armando is very professional and knowledgeable. Even the inspector commented that Armando knows what he's doing and made her job easier. The installers worked so hard and efficiently - removed hurricane panel tracks and installed shutters all in one day!! Clearly, customer satisfaction is very important to this company and it shows.

Emailed them in May about getting shutters. They responded that day and asked for my contact information. After I gave it to them, I waited 3 days and emailed them again after not hearing anything. After the second email, received a call from Armando. We set up a day to come out and get a free estimate. That day came, no Armando, not even a call. I took off work early to meet him at my house. It is now July and I never heard anything since. Ofcourse I went with another, more professional company.

Excellent service. Extremely knowledgable. Went out of their way to explain possibilities and to accomodate my needs. Work performed was excellent and on time.

Excellent, very professional in all aspects in setting up service, the installation and closing of permit. Went the extra mile in taking old metal shutters to recycling for me to sale. Highly recommend

They came in a timely manner, did drawings for the work, got a permit in Coral Gables for the work, and completed everything quickly and efficiently. All at a very reasonable price.

Talked to a representative from A.C. Shutters. I told him I would be available the following Thursday and Friday, and then I would be out of town for a week. The representative said Thur or Fri should be fine and he would call to set up an appointment. No one called. When I returned from my trip I called A.C. Shutters and was told now he was out of town and I should call Monday (May,22) and he would come out to provide an estimate. I called Monday and was told "i'm on a ladder, i'll call you in two minutes". An hour later and still no call. I called again and was told "i'm still on a ladder, but i'll call you soon". No call!! If you don't need the work how about just saying so and not wasting my time. I'm not sure how this business received a good rating from Angie's List, but don't waste your time. Typical South Florida contractor!!!!!

Great. Punctual. Did all leg work. Gave Hoa all necessary information. Worked around my schedule.

I called Armando Colon (owner of AC Shutters and Awnings) and expressed the need for accordion hurricane shutters. We set up a time and date for him to come out and discuss. He arrived right on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He told me that his goal was to provide me with an education about hurricane shutter protection, specifically accordions and their installation (as well as what to look out for). Whether I used him or not was entirely up to me. We walked the property and Armando assured me if we went with him and AC Shutters and Awnings that he would be engaged and available "whenever" I had any questions, concerns, or needs. He also said that his price for the shutters wouldn't be the cheapest or the most expensive but would be a fair price for a quality installation. I can tell you that Armando lived up to his claims 100%! He was totally engaged from start to finish. While his technicians were installing the accordion shutters, he stopped by to see how things were going and saw 1 or 2 "very small" items that he wanted them to correct which they promptly did. The technicians did an outstanding job and we were very impressed. There were a couple of locations (back sliding glass doors to pavers and bathroom outside door) that I was really worried about. I thought they would break some of the pavers leading out of the sliding glass doors but they didn't break a single paver! They also used a removable track for the bathroom door which was incredible and easy to install. They exceeded the local installation codes by putting in the Tapcon screws, on the shutters and tracks, closer to each other than is required. Armando simply said that he does his installations like he would want them done for his own home. In addition Armando and his technicians let me know what they would be and were doing was also taking into consideration the aesthetics/looks of the final product on our house and they do look great! He also offered to take our old aluminum panels to the salvage yard for us and put any money they gave toward the final bill! He even gave me the receipt from the salvage yard. What a time saver and going the extra mile that was! Amazing! My wife and I have wanted to install accordion shutters for several years and were budgeting for it. We're so happy we selected Armando and AC Shutters and Awnings! Oh, one last thing was even the city inspector (doing the final inspection) told me that they did a really professional job. In summary Armando hit a home run!
