They did an incredible job. The owner "Armando" was personally involved during the entire process. He explained to me all my options and gave me detailed explanations of the product and how the work was done and why. Absolutely no pressure and always very professional. He then supplied all the necessary paper work and licensing documentation for the homeowners association. He walked me through the whole process from the association acceptance letter, to the actual work and quality of the product, and finally the inspections. He and his team were very professional and pleasant at all times. Armando is the type of guy that goes "the extra mile" for his customers and it is greatly appreciated. Armando came on time for the estimate and knew what he was doing. As he had to get some costs he called me later with the estimate which was a little more than other estimates but within reason. We agreed and later came back for exact measurements. He was one week late in the installations but he kept in touch with me with reason for the delay. He always answered his cell phone or returned the call fast. This is more that I can say about other contractors. The jobs were completed first class. I recommend this company to all others.

Armando, came out gave me an estimate, helped me with paperwork for association and explained the process. They showed up on time and finished work, and cleaned up.

Armando Colon came to house to give estiimate Very personable and knowledgeable. While providing shutter information, he provided essential informtion for us to get a discount on home owners insurance saving us $700.00 a year. Armando is a really nice guy, helping us to save additional money with his wide range of contacts. The shutters are a wonderful, needed addition to the home. The installment was done professionally and personally inspected by Armando. He instucted us how to close and maintain the shutters. He also told us that we could call him anytime and he would be happy to help us. We did get other estimates that were a little less expensive, but with the info, contacts and professionallism Armando provided, we came out way ahead of the other estimates. Very pleased with the purchase.

Called to get an estimate on installing accordian hurricane shutters on 17 openings. Armando was there within an hour. Very friendly and professional, took the time to explain everything and had a sample of the shutter. The estimate given was very reasonable. After accepting the estimate, Armando came back, took measurements and made all the arrangments for permits. The men who did the installing were great, came and did it all in one day without any breaks. When they were done, they explained how to operate the shutters and cleaned everything up. When Armando came back for the inspection, which passed with no problems, he also made sure I knew how to open and close the shutters. He even made me a rod that I could use to open and close the shutters on the second level of my house as I was having difficulty reaching them. Overall I was extremely satisfied with Armando and his crew and would use them again if I ever need hurricane shutters..

Armando responded to my initial inquiry immediately. At the time of his first visit, he was able to measure the windows, discuss my options, show me samples of his product and explain its advantages, give me references and draw up a quote. (Other companies did not do this.) His price was reasonable. After we accepted his quotation, he made arrangements for the permit with the city. He cheerfully answered all of my subsequent questions and concerns when I called him on his cell phone. Installation was done right on schedule. The installer was friendly and professional. Armando and the installer also took care of incidentals such as plugging and painting holes from the previous panels and moving my mailbox. The installation passed the city inspection with difficulty. After the inspection, Armando returned to the house and showed me how to maintain and close the shutters. He watched me do it several times until he was sure I could do it easily. I highly recommend his services.

Owner came out promptly to examine property for estimate. Never received estimate. Called and e-mailed several times, spoke to owner, many excuses, no luck.

Price: The price of AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. was very reasonable for the shutters we purchased (one of the best quotes from the 5-companies). Appearance of shutters: The appearance of the shutter was excellent as compared to all of the other 5-companies. The shutters also folded up and blended into the appearance of our home. In addition, there were a variety of colors to choose from, and color we choose has held up over a year since our purchase. Strength of shutters: This was one area that AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. out performed all other 5-companies. It was demonstrated to us that you could stand on the shutter with no damage to the shutter. Timelessness: AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. was always on time for appointments, the product was installed by the agreed time table. Special feature of the shutters: AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. had one feature that the other 5-companies did not have, and that was a locking feature which prevented the shutters from moving when the winds increase. Once the shutters were closed, the shutters were also secured with locking device which prevented the shutters from rattling during high winds. Ease of use of the shutters: The shutters were easy to close and can be accomplished by one person. Estimated time to secured the entire house was less than 1-hour. Maintenance of shutters: It has been over 1-year since we purchased the shutters from AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. and the yearly maintenance took less than 1-hour to complete. The maintenance consisted of cleaning the tracks and spraying the tracks with a lubricant. The movement of the tracks and shutters worked as well as the day we purchased the shutters. Inspection and Permit: We had the shutters inspected and permitted by Miami-Dade County and we passed the first time with no delays. Also, on the day of the inspection by Miami-Dade County, AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. was here waiting with us for the inspector. Follow-up questions to AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. After we purchased the shutters from AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. we had several questions, the company answered all of our questions and were very professional. 18-months later- how are the shutters doing?: It has over 18-month later and the shutters from AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. still looks great!! The tracks glide effortlessly and the color has not faded. All of the locks work as well as the day they were installed!! Recommendation: We would highly recommend AC Shutters and Awnings Inc.!!!! In addition, we have used AC Shutters and Awnings Inc. on another property with the same excellent results.

Armando Colon, the owner, is very responsible. He stayed in contact with me to let me know when work would begin, if rain delays were impacting the work schedule and estimated time frame. His crew worked very hard, finishing on a holiday, July 4th, in order to get everything done. Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with the quality of the product and the work.

Got estimates for shutters in April. A C Shutters appeared to be the best value. Advised Armando I would not be having the work done until June when I returned to S. Fla. No problem just call him with my return date. Called beginning of June advise d would be returning 6/16 scheduled work for 6/19. Installer arrived on time and proceed to work until installation was completed. When completed cleaned up and hosed down patios. Shutters are easy to operate and look attractive. City inspector commented on quality of work when doing inspection.

Armando was very helpful and professional. The price was great. It took a couple of months longer than anticipated to get the awning installed, but part of that was due to delays by the City of Hollywood's permit/approval process. I'm very happy with the final product and would definitely recommend this company.

I am more than pleased with the services provided by AC Shutters & Awnings Inc. Armando Colon responded to my request for an estimate quickly and explained the work and materials that would be used. After getting estimates from 2 other vendors, I decided on AC Shutters, believing that I would get the best service and price. I was not disappointed. AC Shutters applied for and received a permit promptly. Delivery and installation of the accordion shutters was promised for 6/11- installation was completed on 6/7/12. They instructed us on the operation and maintenance of the shutters. Their work was clean and very professional.
