I reached someone when I called on Saturday and they asked me to send a text with my name and address and they would let me know when they could come. This lead to some back and forth texts about days and times and they asked if they could come that afternoon. I told them that they could and they said they would arrive after 5:30pm that day. They never came and I never received a call or text to let me know they wouldn't be coming (or to ask if they could come another time) and I haven't heard from them since. I think it is highly unprofessional to fail to show up for a scheduled appointment. If something came up a professional business, that has concern for their potential customers, would call (or send a text) stating they were unable to make the appointment and ask to reschedule. Their failure to communicate with me indicates a total lack of respect and is just rude and unprofessional. If they won't show up as scheduled to give an estimate, it makes me dubious they would complete the work as scheduled.

It was overall good. They complained about the time it took to paint the rooms verses amount paid to them

Osmel is an excellent professional, who is conscientious about the quality of his work and indeed, his work IS high quality. I would have given him all "excellent" ratings but I wanted other Angie's List members to know about a couple of minor issues that SHOULD NOT prevent you from using Osmel because his work, professionalism, apparent integrity etc. far outweighed the slight inconveniences I experienced. On all but one of the projects above, Osmel did an excellent job on, never rested, took a short lunch and even went beyond what I asked for on one of my small exterior paint projects - after scraping and painting a small area of exterior molding around my front door to cover up damage where I had removed a glued-on door bell, he decided to address a different (and more unsightly) problem that I had with the finish on the paint job on the ENTIRE front door and surrounding trim area :-). So, what WERE the two minor issues that I encountered which, again, I believe should NOT keep you from hiring Osmel with confidence that he will do a great job for a very fair price? One - it took a bit of effort and follow-up to get him scheduled to work the 8 hours purchased with my Angie's list Deal (a few texts and follow-up calls) and then, when his scheduled arrival time came and went (8am) and I placed a follow-up call to him, he did not arrive until 9:30am. It worked out okay because I had blocked off the entire day to work at home to supervise him and another tradesman, but 8am would have been better. Second - he seemed very confident that he could adjust the Kohler Class Five toilet fill valve to stop the annoying "ghost flushing" problem that I needed fixed, and indeed he thought he had resolved the problem. A few hours later while Osmel was still here working, the problem returned (every 10 minutes or so), but rather than use his time to try once again to resolve the problem, I said nothing and instead went to YouTube where I quickly discovered that the solution was simply to insert a small hose that had been detached back into its proper location in the fill valve. It's now been five days and no ghost flushing. Thank you YouTube! Yes, I would hire Osmel again, with or without an Angie's list Deal, and yes, I would recommend him - indeed, I passed out his business cards to several of our friends at our Super Bowl party! The quality of his work, his professionalism and his work ethic far outweigh the minor inconveniences I describe above.

ODP Professional Painting Corp did not reach out to me for scheduling. I called him and he said he will call me back to schedule. I never heard back from him. I have requested a refund.

I purchased a Big Deal on January 26 and he never contacted me. I finally called him after to try to schedule a time. He promised that he would contact me later that day. He did not. I texted him the following morning to find out if he still wanted to do the work. He said "yes" and that he would contact me that evening with a time frame. He never did. The following morning I cancelled the deal with Angie's List.

I see by the supplier's reply to my review that it seems they think the job wasn't completed - the interior doors that were to be installed were quite heavy for one man to handle and it did take a long time to install hinges and door handles - I have no problem with the fact that all doors to be installed were not installed as the service provider was respectful of the time as was mentioned; in my review I said that I wouldn't hire the service provider again because 1) No English is spoken and, 2) My multiple phone calls to the service provider still have not been returned. In furtherance of my review though, the new handyman (through Angie's List recommendation) currently working in my home pointed out that the pins in the hinges were installed upside down and one door handle is upside down. The service provider should really come back and reinstall the hinge pins and door handle however, I am not asking them to so.

Sent request on Sunday and got response right away. They work with my schedule and had everything done as promised. Excellent job, reasonable price

Handyman did a really good! He helped me choose the paint and came up with good solutions on what was needed.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for 8 hours of handyman services and scheduled on-line for a certain date and time. I did not receive a confirmation from the handyman and eventually telephoned to confirm the date but there was no inquiry as to the work to be done. I felt that I should advise the handyman of the job to be done and telephoned to discuss same. Even though the replies seemed to confirm time and the work to be done I was not comfortable that the person really understood what I was saying. The handyman (Osmel) arrived at the scheduled time, he was very polite and friendly and he went right to work measuring the doors for hinges, etc. He did however, measure and begin to install hinges on a door that did not belong on the doorway he measured; I began telling him that he had the wrong door and then realized that he speaks no English at all. My Spanish is quite limited but the correct door was ultimately installed in the right place. The new doors were quite heavy and luckily a male relative of mine happened to at my house for most of the time that Osmel was there as he needed an extra hand to hold the doors in place while installing. Mr Osmel was very aware of the time limitation - he went to right to work and did not stop until he indicated that he would take a 20 minute break if that was okay which it was considering the amount of work and time it was taking to hang the doors. In the eight hour period, five doors were hung and three remain to be hung. I tried calling and also a Spanish-speaking friend left two messages in Spanish concerning rescheduling but Mr. Osmel has not returned any phone messages.

Mediocre experience all around. Received an email to call to schedule an appointment for the following Wednesday; called; woman said to call back in a few minutes. Called back and got a recording advising the mailbox I was called was not activated. Emailed. Later that morning, OPD called and confirmed the appointment; I explained the work that needed to be done at that time also. Painter showed up about 45 minutes late and made it very clear he did not want to be here. Rushed through the job in a few hours (although we had paid for 8) and was ready to leave before I pointed out areas where paint had dripped and left a trail; areas that needed a second coat; and one area that had not been painted at all. He fussed a bit (not in English), retrieved his ladder, and spent another hour or so. He even took a few minutes to check for himself, which was the first sign he took any pride in his work. End result was satisfactory.

it didn't go it is the second deal that I purchase through this website, none of them were performed. I called the hotline but no refund. I strongly doubt that my review will be published but it would be a good sign of integrity if it was.

It went great, even though I had to send the painter to purchase certain items. I didn't trust myself nor family members purchasing paint tools. I wanted to make sure we purchased the correct paint tools, without having to revisit the store more than once. I've been through that scenario before and don't want to revisit it. So, in my mind why not send the professional! Even though it rained yesterday and today greatly, those (2) items look fantastic.

Great job , completed my list of repairs in a day.
