Saul's Paving

Responded to Angie's List deal for $39.00 get an estimate and $150.00 off work. Saul came to my house and estimated for driveway sealing and filling a pothole in driveway(1500$). I contacted him and stated I wanted to go ahead with sealing only and after several attempts to reach him, he called back and left a message stating he would be unable to come far for just sealcoating. He did not offer to return my $39.00

Went very well. Workers were extremely polite and professional. Job was completed within two weeks of requesting a quote. The driveway was widened and crowned slightly to facilitate drainage. Had to dig out large a bolder. They emphasized if there were any problems with driveway to call them right away. Looks great. Will use them to seal it.

Excellent. Saul, his wife and their very hard working 3 man crew worked hard all day. All were very neat making sure the area was picked up and tidy.

Saul and his wife came over and gave me a quote the day I put in my first call. I had two other quotes from A rated Angie's list members and they were the cheapest quote. They showed up a half hour early and worked from 8:30am till 5pm and had the whole project completed in one day. The crew was very friendly and even let my boys take a ride on the steam roller. This is a great locally opened business and I would recommend them and will use them again.

They tore up and removed old driveway and cement ramp at backyard end of driveway. Also removed old cement front sidewalk. They prepared and put down new asphalt driveway, extending it further into the backyard where the cement ramp used to be. Also replaced the old sidewalk with asphalt and joined it to the driveway. They also included a pipe and a covered channel across and level with the sidewalk to allow a gutter downspout to drain down the front yard past the sidewalk. They did an excellent job and all in one day.

Short review: Delivered an exceptional driveway as promised. Detailed review: Saul came and gave me a quote that included a finer asphalt grade than his competitors and offered one of the lowest - but not the absolute lowest - price. I called twice after he gave me the quote to ask questions and he called back both times within 24 hours to answer them. When discussing the job with another contractor I brought over for a quote, it became clear that the other contractor was not planning to do some of the things Saul had planned to do (such as a tack coat), but the contractor agreed to do it once I mentioned it. The other convenience that Saul offered was a work date within just a couple weeks of my signing the contract - other companies that I got quotes from couldn't work on my driveway for over a couple months. Saul told me in advance that if it rained, they wouldn't be able to perform the work. This was a good sign for me, because I've had shady contractors push through an asphalt job in the past and the rain damaged their work. Sure enough, the forecast the night before was for rain - one of the few days this summer! At my request, Saul called me very early on the day of the service after he had made the decision not to proceed. This was helpful because I was able to go to work on time and not sacrifice a vacation day. Later that day, Saul called to set up a new appointment for the very next day. Saul's group of 7-9 people (mostly family members) showed up early on the day of the service and worked through about six that night. At no charge, he was willing to install a new drain cover to match some existing ones. They respected the lawn, adjacent structural walls and the rest of the property. My family was completely uninvolved, except to occasionally open or close the garage doors for them. The result was spectacular. You can barely see the seams, the edges are straight, the grade is perfect and there are no blemishes on the smooth surface. I plan to hire Saul's Paving for future sealing and asphalt jobs as I am very, very pleased with their work, personality and communication.

Saul and his crew arrived a little earlier than expected but that was fine! The work was done in one day and before we returned home from work. We had his team back in the spring to seal the driveway.

Saul contacted me the same day I emailed him and was at my house to look at the job that evening. Gave an estimate for exactly what I wanted and it was very reasonable (I have gotten other estimates in the past for the same job). He told me when he would be on site to do the job and was here on the day and promptly. Everything was very professional and easy to deal with. I had a contractor last year who I had signed a contract with to do the same job, but could only get an estimate of when he would be available to do it and then he never got back to me (not an Angie's List provider and no money changed hands). The new driveway is still setting but it looks great. Assuming I have no problems with it I plan to use Saul for other stone work in the future.

I contacted Saul and he came out within a few days to give me an estimate. They arrived on time and did exactly what was quoted. The crew was hard working and finished within a few hours. I am very pleased with the quality of the workmanship. I will hire them again.

Saul's tore up the old blacktop, leveled out the ground, put down a weed barrier, crushed stone (rolled) and then 3 - 4" of blacktop (rolled). All were extremely helpful and polite. They were punctual and did an excellent job. And the price was more than fair! I have highly recommend Saul's Paving to my family, neighbors and friends!

The team did an excellent job. I did not drive on the driveway for five day, as recommended. They were courteous, arrived when they said they would, and finished the job in one day. I am pleased with the results and felt their price was more than fair. When they left, the street and surrounding lawn were neat and clean, with no debris or pieces of blacktop. I would highly recommend them.

They did a great job. We spent close to $4000 on that service. We thought that they were really great. They got back to us every time called and were quiet, professional, and really good. We are happy with the work that they did so far.
