I bought a house that had been vandalized, including removal of the air conditioner. I wanted an efficient system, but I am price conscious. My house is 1300 sq ft, and quite well insulated. I got quotes from four contractors. Frank Worthington gave the lowest quote, by more than $1000. His bid was low because (1) he has a small family business with low overhead; (2) he took the time to measure carefully and concluded that a 2 ton package was sufficient; and (3) he used a lesser known brand (ICP) with high product standards and a better warranty than the big name brands. The installation went smoothly and the system works very well. It's stayed comfortable, but my electric bill, so far, hasn't reached $100, and it's been pretty toasty this last month. ____________________________ Subsequently came out and repaired the non-working air conditioner on a condo I purchased. There was some small part that had gone bad. Frank found and fixed the problem rapidly, gave the system a check over, and cleaned up a few places that showed the effects of neglect. I haven't gotten the bill yet, but he guaranteed I wouldn't go into shock when I see the bottom line.
