Once the work began, everything went extremely well. Very pleasant crew, very careful with landscape and property, very clean. Job took longer than originally forecast to get on the schedule and to complete once started, however the pleasantness of everyone I dealt with all along compensated to a great extent and I would be inclined to use again all things being equal.

Great! The roof looks great. My electric bill dropped $60. June was hot too. They cleaned up after. They did things that I didn't expect like trimmimg branches back that were touching the roof. They painted all the vents the color of the sheet metal. He was prompt in getting the bid to me via email.

He was the lowest price bid and did excellent work. He even through in a couple of extra items for free after he bid the job.

Roof has developed leaks and numerous air pockets within past year. Repeated contacts by voice mail and email requesting help have gone unanswered.

Very satisfied customer. Called Holt Professional to evaluate small porch roof leak. Holt Professional responded to my email inquiry the next day. Melvin Holt inspected the area of concern and sent me a bid proposal. He said the current flashing wasn't screwed down and there was no sealant. He and an assistant were able to complete the repair within one week, in under an hour. They installed some new flashing, screwed it down, and applied sealant. Since then, have gotten some heavy rain and the porch is dry!

He did a really good job. I haven't been there, I was actually able to do the contract over the phone and by email and stuff. I had him replace the roof on my mother's house. He gave me a good price and he did it in one day, everything in one day. A crew of like 15 people and they just went to town on it. It was a good price. They cleaned it up, they stripped it, they took away the old stuff, they replaced all the wood panels, the substructure as necessary and they cleaned up real nice afterwards, didn't leave anything.

We purchased a home that needed a new roof and many pieces of plywood replaced. They came out and did the estimate without me having to be there. Melvin sent me a quote which was about $1000 less than the next lowest offer. He was clear up front that there may be additional charges if plywood needed replaced which did happen. He communicated with me about permits, colors and schedule easily prior to the job. We got a leak just before the job was to be completed. Someone came out on a Saturday to tarp it. They arrived a few days later and completed the job in one day. The roof looks great!

It took 3 days (rainy season, of course). I was so pleased not to get a migraine. The workers were professional. My brother had lots of question that were answered before the work was started. Thank you Holt Roofing.

The bidding and contract signing went well but it was about 4 weeks before re-roofing started which was longer than specified. The job was very well done and was completed quickly once started.

We chose Holt based on good reviews from friends and here on Angie's List. We got our estimate from Mr. Holt very quickly, but then things slowed down after that. We had a little trouble scheduling a start date. I know he is very busy (because he is good) and we were in more of a hurry than we should have been, due to a leaky roof and impending hurricane season. So, I did have to make a couple of calls to him just to follow up on the status of things. But, after I left a message, he would return the call pretty quickly. He was willing to answer all of our questions. Once we set the start date, everything went smoothly. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, finished the job in less than 2 days and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. The final price was within $100 of the estimate, because of some wood damage under the shingles. We're very pleased with the results and would call him again, but really hope we won't have to!

Randall Holt expected to have a helper on roofing job and would be done in 3-4 hours. His helper never showed up, which might be a reason to cancel--nope! Randall showed up, worked alone for almost seven hours on a Saturday, and the project cost exactly what he said it would. He was great, and I would unreservedly recommend his company!

I had to make a few calls to get an estimate but when I did get the estimate the person came at my convenience and was very professional. They did the work the next week. They worked hard all day, got the job done and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy to get the work done and extremely pleased with the way it was done. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Went fast and he stayed honest on the price

Melvin Holt was extremely helpful. He came recommended by a neighbor that had had her roof done by him only a month or so before. He was quick with an estimate and stuck by it very closely. Only a couple things came up that were extra but it was understandable. They cleaned up everything when they left but my only complaint is while the construction was going on, they left their lunch trash everywhere and it blew around our yard, so we had to clean up each night.

Melvin Holt is the owner. They did a really good job. They were done in two days. They cleaned up well. The crew was polite and courteous. I negotiated a deal that he would discount any other repair work if I paid in cash. The overall experience was excellent. I have already told people who are looking for a roof to check with Holt Roofing. There communication with us about the work was top-notch. The workers were very polite. No complaints. They were quick to respond and took their time to really check out the roofing system; very professional.

I had three estimates from three roofers, all on Angie;s List. All three had good ratings. The estimates ranged from $375 to $890. I assume that because this was a small job that the top two bidders really did not want to do it as the materials listed in the estimates were virtually identical. I went with the low bid. The job was done within the week and unless only that part of the roof should disappear during our first hurricane, I am perfectly satisfied.

Melvin Holt, the owner of Holt Professional, Inc., was the best contractor I have ever had do work for me. He was prompt, professional, congenial and honest. He didn't cut corners on either labor or materials. If he saw something extra in the course of doing his work, he would get my okay and proceed to use additional materials or labor to do what was necessary to do the job right. His workmen were courteous and hard-working. They arrived on the day and time they said they would be here and got the job done in a little over two days, in spite of having to work around rain and electrical storms. I would be happy to recomend Holt Professional to anyone for roof repair and replacement.
