Mr. Stirrup responded to my call and came to my apartment last week to look at and estimate the job. He indicated that the faucet unit had to be replaced and estimated the cost to be $210. Yesterday, he came with the replacement unit and repaired the leak. The leak has stopped. He performed the job professionally and efficiently.

My fiance and I returned from a long Labor Day weekend away to an inch of water on the utility room floor of our recently purchased home. Mark was out within an hour of our initial call to assess the problem and provide an estimate. We were told we needed to replace our water heater, which we had already suspected, as it was not leaking from any of the connections but rather appeared to be a crack within the tank. After providing the estimate for the new water heater and its installation, Mark said he would be back the following day at 2:00 p.m. to do the work. At around 1:30, he called to say he was stuck at another job and asked if he could instead come at 4:00. At 4:20, he called to say he was still about 30 minutes away and said he would come the following morning at 10:00. (Fortunately, we had already used the hot water enough that the water had dropped below the crack, and therefore no further leaking occurred.) He arrived the next morning at 10:10 and spent all day working his magic on our hot water heater. It appeared to be quite a complicated installation process (maybe because our water heater uses natural gas, maybe because it's an older home). Nevertheless, the general contractor we have updating other parts of our house commented to us several times that Mark was doing a great job and was charging us a very fair price. In fact, he was so impressed with Mark, he asked Mark for his card before leaving. While it was certainly frustrating that our appointment got pushed back twice, we were still impressed that we had a new water heater successfully installed within 48 hours of calling Mark with our concerns. If we have plumbing issues in the future, he will be our first call.

He followed up and was able to do the job in the time frame that I asked him. He was professional the whole way through. I would use this man again on a job and recommend him. He's honest and gets the job done.

Everything turned out well. He was very honest and charged what I thought was a very fair price. It was a full day's job in very close quarters on a very hot day. He never complained but was very professional and courteous. I would definately use his services again.

Mr. Stirrup responded promptly and gave me a service date a couple of days away, which was fine for my needs. On the day he came, he called well in advance of our appointment time to inform me he was running about an hour late and would that still work for me. This simple courtesy is almost unheard of in my experiances with service calls over the years. He was very professional, worked cleanly, and his price was quite reasonable for the work he did. Although I did not get other estimates, I have used large company plumbing services in the past and, while their work was fine, their prices were very high, and I'm sure Mr. Stirrup's price was more than competitive, which included an Angie's List 10% discount. I would use Mr. Stirrup's services again without reservation and would highly recommend him.

I contacted him. He promptly responded, scheduled an appointment, came out and fixed the valve.

Since I had had good results with Mark the first time, I decided to hire him again to take care of a tenant's garbage disposal problem in an apartment I own. He agreed to call the tenant and make the appointment. It was two days later when he finally called, but at least he did it. He set the appointment for last Friday afternoon, Aug 12, between 4-5. She left work early to be home for him. He finally called her that evening well after 5. She couldn't wait around any later that evening and they agreed that he could come on Saturday instead. She waited home all day Saturday but he never showed up. He finally called late that afternoon and rescheduled for the next Tuesday. Again she left work early for a 4-5 appointment. By 5:30 he hadn't shown or called. I called him to discuss the situation with him. His only response was that sometimes situations arise that keep him from his commitments. I told him I had no problem with that, but that he should at least have the courtesy of calling her to let her know. Three times is too much. He said that she had his phone number and if she wanted to know if he would be on time, she could call him.We ended by agreeing that I would contact someone else. He was not rude or unpleasant in his tone or attitude but clearly left the impression that he's not too concerned about other people's time or schedules and doesn't think he should have to let people know if he's not going to keep an appointment.This is too bad. I have three rental apartments and my own home and could have given him all my plumbing business.

This was for an apartment I own. I never actually met him, as the tenant handled the actual appointment. However, I dealt with Mark on the phone before and after. Very polite and professional. He showed up the next day, as promised. Was about an hour later than promised--not a big deal, but a phone call would have been nice. That's why the B rating for promptness. I did inspect the work later and found it quite to my satisfaction. He even explained to the tenant why it was leaking. He honored his discount coupon without being reminded, which is always nice. I own several apartments and will definitely be calling on him in the future for plumbing issues.

Everything was excellent. I would use him again.

It was a good plumbing job and a good service.

Called Mark and we agreed on a day & time. He was late making the time, but called repeatedly to give me an update. He was held up by his supplier. He and a co-worker arrived and each headed for a different bathroom. The clog was remedied by Mark fairly quickly, while the MB toilet took a while, Several parts were replaced, a leak was stopped, and the clean up was terrific. Thanks guys ......but after 3 or 4 flushes - same old problem (missus a leak). The problem was that the flush WOULD stop sometimes and it looked repaired when they left. I called Mark the next day and told him I was back to square one. He came out and changed the whole flushing unit. I asked what I owed him for the extra parts and he said "no charge - should have been done properly on the last visit"! True, but still handled nicely. Would use him again anytime.

I called Monday, and he came Tuesday and fixed the washer drain pipe. He was professional, completed the job quickly and properly, and the charge was resonable.

I definitely will recommend Mark Stirrup to all my friends!

AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE I called the company at 8 AM, and Mark said he could be here at 1 PM. I was pleasantly surprised that he was available the same day. He arrived 5 minutes early, was professional, courteous, polite, and left the work area cleaner than he found it! He told me the price before he started work, and then charged me $10 less. I have several other small plumbing issues that need addressing and will DEFINITELY call Mark again.

Overall, it went well. The plumber arrived in a timely fashion. The only thing I thought was odd was the final bill. I was offered ten percent off of $480.00, but the final cost came to $446.00 instead of $432.00.

Called to request maintenance at 10 am. Worker arrived on time at 2pm. Work came below the estimate. Cleaned and left.

From the beginning, Mark was prompt, courteous, and articulate in explaining. He described what he was doing as he went along. I believe his rate was fair, and that he is a highly qualified plumber, and would strongly recommend him.

Very well. Would use again. Took a couple of weeks to get the shower head part in, but otherwise went very well.

Used once and did a good job. Second time around, missed two consecutive appointments on different days and kept me waiting.

I spent a couple of hundred dollars. There was a leak and I was wrong about where the leak was coming from. It was an error by somebody that was installing something for me and they drilled into the drain pipe and that was leaking. He was able to locate that for me and also recommended that I contact the installer and have them pay for the damage. His price was reasonable. The owner of the company came out.

He was professional, courteous and prompt. He knew what he was doing.

We had to patch the wall once the leak was fix and the heater had to come out again. So I decided to replace the water heater and I bought a new one. He picked it up for me did not charge anything for that. He then installed it once the wall was fixed.
