Insync Mover

I contacted this company to pack and move certain furniture items from my mother's home in Florida, as she had recently passed, to my home in Tennessee. My initial contact with their representative was very good. My contact person, Kim, provided information which included that the movers would move furniture out of a room and move the incoming furniture into the room. I was required to pay an additional $75 for the company to climb 15 stairs in order to put designated furniture in an upstairs bedroom. I was quoted a price and I wired the entire balance to the company. On the day of the move, my representative added some items to the inventory. I called the company, spoke with another representative, Ashlie, and was told that whatever they had added would be no more than additional $300-$500 dollars which could be handled when the furniture arrived to my home in Tennessee. Based upon this assurance the additional items were added to the inventory. The company packed up all of the items. After about 2 weeks without any word regarding a delivery date, I contacted this company and was told that there was an outstanding balance of $1378, which represented the added on items, which had to be paid in full before they would deliver. Now, for an additional $500, I could pay it upon delivery, but without any notification, my furniture was held hostage until I paid an additional $1378. I paid that additional amount. The furniture was delivered the day before Thanksgiving. Upon arrival, their driver immediately said it was impossible to bring up the bedroom suit and sofa which were to go upstairs. He refused to do so. He left all of the furniture and other items in the middle of my first floor living room, foyer and den. Not only that, upon his arrival in Jackson, TN the driver stopped at various neighborhoods soliciting for random people on the street to come help him deliver furniture into my house! One of the men he brought, without my permission, was a known neighborhood theif! Whom we knew by name and face. When we asked him why he was at our house, he stated the man driving the moving truck was going around looking for people to help him with this move. This is a safety and security issue that i am extremely upset about. I was under the inpression that this company hired its own staff. When they first arrived, the driver was very curt and short with my son and his stepfather. He called his office alleging that he had been cursed at, when in fact it was the other way around. This move was terrible and I certainly should not have paid over $3,000 for this kind of unprofessional treatment. I plan to pursue as many remedies as may be available to me. Please do not keep recommending a company that stops on the side of the road to get help to complete its moving jobs. The man they stopped on the side of the road will be more than happy to give a statement as to how he ended up at my house, when in six years he had never been invited to my home. The driver indicated that it was impossible to get the sofa and bedroom furniture upstairs. However, we had to hire another company who have successfully placed all of the items upstairs in the designated rooms.
