The job itself went good, however it has been a year and a final inspection which had been paid for has not been finalized. I keep talking to Sean Dabush at sean@qualityairofamerica.com and he has said he hasn't been able to contact the city for a final inspection. It has been exactly a year.

Response from Quality Air of America
Our intention is to treat our customer's fairly and well - and this unfair and inaccurate portrayal genuinely hurts me as the business owner. You are welcome to call and ask for me, and I'll relay exactly what I'm going to recount below: you were not charged $465 (you were never charged more than $265 by my business in fact), you were refunded by the manager you said would not call you back, the only reason the work was not done was because you were not home when my tech arrived for our 2nd appointment. Here is the full and correct version of events, all of which can be verified with timestamped notes, pictures, and credit card transactions. Our technician first went to the customer on Saturday May 7th. The technician spent 1.5 hours at your home to deliver the Complete Home Package you had booked with us. Based on the technician's recommendation, you decided to book a second service for a deeper duct cleaning. This service cost $400 in total. A deposit of $200 was collected that day and you booked a follow up appointment for Thursday, May 12. On the 12th, the tech called you when we were on our way, as is our policy and in an effort to communicate well with customers, he left you a voicemail. You then called the office back shortly after the tech called you and said you would not be home. The technician took a time stamped picture of your house, again as is our policy so our efforts to make appointments are properly recorded. When we had not heard from you by early June to reschedule, we refunded you $151 of the $265 total you paid us ($65 for the Complete Home Package, which was rendered over 1.5 hours of service, and $200 deposit for additional work). Of the $200 deposit, we refunded only $151 as you booked an appointment with us and you did not honor it by being home. The $49 is equivalent to our most affordable service call fee. Everything said above can be verified, and you are welcome to give us a call and ask for the owner or a manager. We will be happy to share more details with you directly.

Used this "company" and signed a 3-year contract with them in 2020. Not sure what exactly the "maintenance contract" really includes as the service was different each time they came out. We got different answers from every service tech that we had. They installed a new float switch at the beginning of our contract. That valve failed several times and resulted in ceiling damage below the handler. Our system was making an awful sound so we called them to have someone come out to take a look at. They charged us $100 for someone to come out (was told that our "service agreement covered emergency call-outs). While the tech was here, he mentioned that the system is making that noise because the float valve was faulty. He replaced it in May 2022. Last week we called the service line to tell them that the system is making the same noise again and we are about to leave on vacation. The soonest they could get someone out to the house was 5 days later (when we wouldn't be home) or we could pay $100 for someone the same day. We asked the service rep. why we would be charged another $100 for someone to come out to fix what they didn't fix just over 1 month ago. We were told it's a different issue. We came back home and there were no issues (thankfully) until this morning when we woke up, our ceiling was completely ruined by water because of the switch that was installed in May 2022 was faulty. I spoke to the "Manager" Sean, he said they are not responsible for damaged/faulty parts that were installed. I explained to him that whenever a tech came out to do maintenance, all they did was enter the house, look at the handler and then left. We had to call to have them return to clean out the lines every time. Sean "the manager", said the service does not include cleaning the line. I asked what the service includes and his response was "everything that we have done". I asked how much would it cost to come out to fix the issue and he quoted $199 for the service and another new switch. $100 for the service call and $99 for the switch. I told him that is ridiculous to be charged again for a faulty switch they installed. He disagreed with me and then told me that he is canceling our service (1 year early) and good luck. We asked for our service records and all we received was the original service order in 2020. He said they have no other records of them coming out. However in his email explaining what isn't cover, he stated that "when they were out in May, they installed a new float valve"

While we are sorry to hear about [Member Name Removed]'s drainage issues, his story is not an accurate one - of the services we have rendered or our approach to customer service. [Member Name Removed] is correct that he obtained a 3y preventative maintenance from us - but this was included at no charge and as a courtesy having done a larger AC and duct cleaning for him in August 2020. As part of that cleaning, we did change out his safety switch. Over a year later in December of 2021, that safety switch apparently didn't trigger, and [Member Name Removed] attempted to clear the drain line himself to avoid further leaking from condensation. When that did not work, we were called to revolve the issue. At that visit, we replaced their safety switch at no charge. This was not an obligation on our part, as we were more than 1y from our warranty period on the original installation, but we did this as a courtesy to satisfy a customer. Following that free repair, earlier this year in May of 2022, [Member Name Removed]'s AC was not working. We visited him again to find that he needed a new capacitor. [Member Name Removed] would not agree to our standard price, so again as a courtesy we both reduced the price AND provided a deep drain line flush for free - again to satisfy a past customer. It should be noted as well that we have been recommending to [Member Name Removed] for over a year now to either add a condensate pump or re-do his drain line to resolve his drainage issues. He has declined our recommendations. It's worth remembering here too that the original issue with drainage that resulted in our installation of the second safety switch (for free) came subsequent to him trying to resolve the issue himself. We are unfortunately not in a position to serve a customer who expects work to be done free of charge, does not heed our recommendations, and who attempts repairs on their own. We cannot do these things and still offer high quality service to the rest of our customers. We want our customers to be our long term partners, and in this case, there is no sense of partnership.

Technician arrived to my house on time, he was able to explain to me everything that I needed to get done, he pulled out the coil, removed the blower wheel took them both outside and proceeded with acid washing after the chemical treatment was complete he put it back, he reconnected the blower wheel, and then went outside to adjust my Freon. My A/c has been working amazing since. I am overall very satisfied and will be using again and telling my friends and family. Thank you!

In August 2018, a new HVAC unit was installed by this company. We've had several issues with the unit since then. Each time somebody came to "fix" the issue, it cost more money. We enrolled in the company's service plan that includes bi-yearly minor maintenance for 5 years. It cost $500. Unfortunately, if we seek someone else to service our unit, the service agreement is null and void. Our unit started leaking just before Thanksgiving. A tech was supposed to arrive between 11-1 and didn't arrive until 7pm! The leak went unnoticed and caused damage to the apartment below us. Our drainage line was clogged. He cleared the clog, but told us the sensor needed replaced. The sensor should have cut the power to the unit once the drain pan was full. Before he could return to replace the sensor, the leak appeared again. We decided to cut our losses and hire another company. Do NOT hire Quality Air of America.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I spent over $3000 to have the 3 central AC systems in my house fitted with an air purification system plus had all of the ducts cleaned. The job included a 3 year service/maintenance contract which included duct cleaning twice a year. Six months after the initial job, I called the company to come out to clean the ducts. They tried to tell me that the service contract only included a check of the system to make sure it was cooling properly. After much back and forth, I spoke to Luis the manager and he agreed to honor the contract. In addition, at that time, I asked him to send me an email verifying that my service/maintenance contact included the duct cleaning twice a year, which he did. Recently, when I called for what would have been service #4/6, the guy who showed up at my house only checked the AC system to see that it was cooling properly, which I already knew that it was. I asked him to clean the ducts and he said it was not included. I immediately called the office and spoke to Luis the manager (still there after 2 years) and he refused to do the duct cleaning and honor the contract, even after I reminded him of the email he sent to me verifying and validating that my service/maintenance contact included duct cleaning twice a year. There are many AC companies out there. DO NOT CHOOSE Quality Air of America.

I had a coupon that said they would clean up to seven vents and the dryer vent and put some organic deodorizer in them and check the Attic insulation as well. They hooked up a suction machine to one vent in the living room and said that that would clean all the vents. They said they would not do the dryer vent because it went up instead of across so it wasn't a standard dryer vent. The coupon said they would do a duct camera inspection but then the guy said they didn't have the camera with them. They never used any deodorizer and never offered to even check the Attic. I wanted to check their suction machine and see if any dust actually came out of the vents but he said no I couldn't even look in there because it could be a safety hazard. I basically felt like I was being scammed and that they weren't actually doing anything for me. I personally would never use them again.

Not acceptable. First, I paid a lot of money for repair, more than original quote, but was happy to get it working. It never worked, then I paid to replace the lines to the unit. It started leaking and damaged my ceiling plaster, wood floors and wood on stairs. They blamed me and said it was my fault for not doing better preventive maintenance. I suggested something was disconnected or lines needed flushing out and they argued. So they sold a new unit, and when this unit was replaced, the installer said it was leaking because something had disconnected. Yes, the unit was old, but with them, the customer is never right. They placed a huge hole in the 2nd Floor ceiling and said would return in a couple of days to repair. That was over 6 mos ago. I had to cancel later one time because of an emergency at work. Someone later came out when I reported it was not cooling and he said it was due to the hole in the ceiling because it was allowing hot air to enter. He said germs were entering home. He said he did not have supplies to repair, but would return. No one called or returned. Finally, a person came out to repair ceiling and he said he was misinformed, he did not the supplies to repair a large hole in ceiling and that someone would return. No one ever calls me, I have to call them. The lady who answers the phone is always rude, never apologizes, and no one calls back. I finally spoke with Luis, a supervisor, who reassures it will get done. Last time, I spoke to him was a couple of weeks ago. He reassured me he would call me back to confirm that Jonathan would be at my house following week for repair. No one called me. Don’t use them. They do not have a clue about customer service. I was ripped off monetarily. It is cooling somewhat, but not as it should.

took longtime to write the review. After scheduling appointment , the guy came and he scared me with so many complaints and charged extra $350 and he didn't even give the proper receipt other than his number. He didn't even clean vents which he suppose to do. When i explained this to my neighbor then he mentioned that i got cheated by him. This company needs to hire honest and good people rather than wrong doing things. (UPDATE) Joseph called me and send the technician to resolve the problem. They are very sweet and completed the services successfully. Great Job. Very Much appreciated.

It was a typical bait and switch. After they came in March 2019 they said they evaluated the system and a lot of services that I did not hire them for "had" to performed. They were trying to scare me about the condition of the system. I had recently had my whole unit changed which was top of the line which I feel they based their pricing on. They took out my ac blower and acid washed it, applied mastic to the joints in the attic, and vacuumed my ac ducts. They tried selling me on replacing my flex ducts and recoating my duct system because there were one or two dots of bacterial growth which I refused. They also sold me a 3 year service agreement. Shortly after my air quality severely deteriorated. My whole house smelled like a wet mop. I called them to come back which took them a long time to give me an appt on may 17th. When they came the service person Matt said he missed a few ducts and there were signs of bacterial growth. He then said he forget to bring his brush system. He removed 2 of 8 vents on the 1st floor and fogged them. He then tried to sell me on recoating my duct system at a cost of 450 a vent. I had already paid 1,750 for his first visit. The house smelled even worse after this. I called them again and asked them to do something. I spoke to the manager Louis who said it costs him money and supplies to send someone out. He flat out refused to do anything further. Now I am sneezing like crazy and stuck with a smelly house. I will never use them again.

On 12/20/18 Quality Air of America came to house on a duct cleaning special they were offering. While the employee, Shai, was at our house he took a look at the coils and vents and suggested services to be rendered. A contract was drawn up to have 10 of our air ducts cleaned, 10 branch return/supply air duct/vent grill washed, our coils pressure washed, the blower cleaned, 10 air ducts treated with sporicidin/vital oxide, and dryer vent cleaned. We were told it would take 4-5 hours to complete the job and services were scheduled to be rendered in 12/22/18. Please be aware, my entire house is electronic and monitored via cameras and security system. On the day of 12/22/18, two guys showed up at my house. I let them in at 3:58 pm and stepped out while they worked. (the house was empty from having to do major remodeling) At 4:31 pm they had left my house and locked the front door from the outside. They were at my house for 33 minutes when it was suppose to take 4-5 hours!!!!! We placed a call to the company and complained that the work was not done. The guys response was, "The installers sys it took them more than 40 min and for 2 guys it takes about an hour or lil more if it's one guy it can take longer." Liars!!!! I have them on video. I also have photos that clearly show the work was not done. They are scammers!!!

Arrived near end of service window. Spent very little time cleaning actual dryer vent. Vent still coverer in lint. He spent 95% of his visit pushing $2000+ of “urgently needed” upgrade services to avoid “mold”. His “explanation” of how I would get mold was total BS but I think most people who don’t know better would be fooled. He also said my AC was low on Freon but he had no Freon pressure testing equipment with him. When I asked him to just leave and email me a proposal he got angry and keep plowing through his entire sales pitch. At the end he tried to have me sign a work order even though I said I was not prepared to go forward. He kept saying “it’s just an estimate” even though one doesn’t need to sign an estimate and the language under the signature said that ”customer authorizes the following work.” It felt very shady and very aggressive. Would never call this company again.

The machine they use to suck the dust out was very big and while getting it in the house damaged the tile of the porch, then after providing the service I had dust all over, I called them and asked to come again, they finally agreed to come and then I find out the vacuum’s hose was damaged had a hole and they were using knowing it was damaged, to make matters worse when the vacuum was set up to clean the duck, the holding part holding the hose up it felt and broke a frame I had with a family picture. The tech apologized said that’s never happened before. It was a bad experience all together and I will never use their services again.

Service provider said they would be here Monday at 1. I took time off work to meet them. They never came, instead I got a phone call, not a visit. They quoted me their “standard rate” for installing a return, $850. The actual job involves cutting two holes in drywall, running a five foot section of flexiduct, and installing two grills. This is way way overpriced for the job to be done. I found someone else to do it for a third of the price they quoted.

Once they have your money they do not care to finish the job. Had black mold in air conditioning unit and was told I needed to get new unit and vents cleaned asap. Install went fine, they did have to cut a hole in part of ceiling to get unit to fit. During install, I was told they did not have the machine to clean vents, but handyman that was coming to fix the hole will do it. I was told I would be contacted to get it scheduled. I called again a few days later to get it resolved, to no avail. I had to keep on them to get any response. Took a day off work to get the hole fixed and vents cleaned a month after install, the day the handyman was to arrive he cancelled saying he cannot make it. When handyman finally came another few days later, I was informed they again do not have the machine to clean vents. This process started in the beginning of September, and I am still working on get this resolved. I called again last week and told them to cancel my 5 year service contract as I was done begging them to do the job they were contracted to do. I was told I would have someone out the next day to get it done. I took another day off of work and I was told by my gate that they were parking, but they never came to my door. I called Quality Air to find out what happened as no one had called me. I was informed that something came up and I will have to "try another day" this is the 2nd day I have taken off work do to accommodate something that should have been done at time of install. Not to mention, I still may have black mold in my vents. It is now December, I will be heading over to BBB to put in a claim to get my service contract money back.

Everything went average. They were very quick to arrange the installation and provide the documentation for the new A/C unit. I expected to pay a premium for the expedited installation, but the service ended up being OK. I also had to twist their arm to live up to the overall agreement. The unit has been running well for 1.5 years now.
