The service was great.

Amazing people and service! I am in the US Air Force and was deployed when I purchased my home. From thousands of miles away the insurance company told me I had 60 days to get hurricane shutters on the house or they would not be able to cover me. And this is where I started to panic! I immediately joined Angieslist.com and began searching for reputable companies. I sent out 6 requests for estimates along with an explanation for the urgency. Within 1 day Ms. Serena contacted me and Mr. Herman got me a quote by the weeks end. A few others responded, though not near as quickly. Because of their prompt response and more than reasonable price (thank you for the military discount!) I went with Vanderheyden, Inc. It is now 5 weeks later, all the work is done and I couldn't be happier! Thank you to all the people of Vanderheyden, Inc. Worked directly with owner to schedule install around my demanding schedule. Crew performed the work on time. Install was quick, professional. An excellent overall job.

Excellent experience. Installers arrived in the morning and immediately began working. Obviously experienced with installation of hurricane panel hardware. Brick facade on home required drilling holes around all windows/doors for the attachment hardware. Installers set-up and began work quickly. Due to the drilling required the job took most of the day however the installers worked continuously, except during lunch, until the job was done. All the panels were separated, marked and stacked by which window they belonged to, then placed in my storage location by the end of the day. The only item not completed was the special outside access covering for one of the outside doors. Since it was a special order, had to wait three weeks for it to arrive. When the door covering came in the installers performed just as they did before, arriving on time and completing the install quickly and efficiently. The men doing the installation obviously were experienced and motivated to complete the job well. They took particular care to clean up around the entire house when they were done with the installation including cleaning up brick dust from the drilling. More than happy with this job.

Installers arrived at the expected time and began working immediately. De-installed the old door quickly and set up the new door for quick installation. They installed the new door, connected and adjusted the door opener, cleaned up the work space, packed up the old door and were finished by lunch time. Door appears to be well adjusted with a tight fit. Professionally done job. Quite happy.

Met Herm Vanderheyden at conversion, discussed project, received quote, ordered and job was done. I have recommended to some of my friends.

This was the most straight forward and honest experience that I have ever had with a contractor. Never have I had a contractor do exactly what he promised and complete the work on time and on budget.
