+ -1 moreI had 2 landscaping berms with assorted trees that needed removal. I had a collection of stumps around yard that needed grinding. I had a very tall palm tree that needed trimming / cleaning. Tree works arrived on the scheduled day / time. They communicated with me during job as clarifications / questions occurred as I had to work. They relocated felled tree segments to a central area near my firewood pile to save me time. This was definitely an appreciated 'extra service' the company provided at no additional charge to me. Don personally serviced a very tall palm tree to remove accumulated dead/hanging palm leaves. He did a great job with palm and total project was completed in a timely manner. He had multiple trucks / devices / crew actively participating in project. In my opinion the owner Don Hurt did a great job of coordination persons and equipment resources to complete this project in an efficient and timely manner. I have another berm I will plan for cleanup in the future - Tree Work will be the company that performs that task. The owner is a very friendly man with a desire to give the consumer quality work at a fair price. I enjoyed our conversations and I'm glad he did the job.
Description of Work: Removed Many trees / Grinded stumps, Left me firewood, hauled away excess. He also cleared a very tall palm tree of dead / dying palms. Cleaned / Raked each tree work area.

+ -1 moreBeing out-of-state, I had to trust Tree Works to do the job in my absence. Tree Works Plus was much lower than the other three bidders and demonstrated an eagerness to do the job. Upon completion, they sent me photos of the area and would not accept payment unless I was 100% satisfied. That type of "old school" service and trust is rare, but sincerely appreciated. For all future jobs, there is no question that Tree Works Plus will be called.
Description of Work: Removed trees and shrubs from house perimeter, so painter can gain access to house exterior.

+ -1 moreThese guys came in Monday morning and had about 3/4 of the trees cut down, in high winds, before lunch. They did the trees near the houses the next day when it was really cold. The crew didn't miss a step. There was unexpected trash in set of trees and the guys disposed of it properly without extra charge. I have told everyone I work with about the great service and will recommend to anyone looking for a good crew to perform great work!

His price was well below competition (keeps his overhead low because of family owned and operated), so we agreed to have him do the work. Showed up promptly on day agreed, did the work in every way as originally described. Would highly recommend!

The job was done beautifully, and very custom as my wife was very particular about leaving as much of the natural beauty of the trees as possible while letting more light in. Description of Work: Mr. Hurd came to give me on estimate on the work that needs to be done on my yard which has live oaks near the house and other trees that I thought could be problematic during a hurricane. I had planned on getting three estimates in response to all the blogs and reviews I had read. After my consultation with Mr.Hurd I decided not to get anymore feedback because he told me everything I needed to know. Next year when I will need to get work done I will definitely use Tree Works Plus. How good to interact with someone who is clearly knowledgeable and conscientious.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time he has done work for me and I found him to be very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me the estimate on Monday and did the work on Wednesday. He even remembered having worked for me the first time and what he did! Last time he worked on the front yard, this time he worked on the back and side yards. I got home from work just as he was finishing up and everything looked wonderful. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Removed 1 very large pine tree and 2 smaller ones, trimmed 4 trees extensively, ground 3 stumps, and cleaned up everything and disposed of all the debris.

+ -1 moreHe was punctual in showing up, or early. More than the others I got estimates from, he was communicative, and did what he said he would do. His estimate for taking down the tree was actually the same as what his competition, Sterling gave, considering the method that they offered. I ended up going with Sterling as they offered a cheaper way to take down the tree that would leave a few ruts in the yard. Sterling also offered an estimate of $50 for stump grinding, while A Cut Above's estimate was $200.00. Though I had heard that Sterling was not always good in staying in touch and following up on what they said they would do from my fiance, I choose Sterling to do the work because of the price, but was prepared to call them if they didn't call me.
Description of Work: The provider gave an estimate. He said that sometimes as the season changes that the price will go down. So I had him come back months later, but the price was the same.

Description of Work: I had picked 3 companies to come out and place a bid on removing a tree close to my house. Don from tree works plus Inc. was the first scheduled to come out. He presented himself in a professional manner and I believed him to be an honest person in his dealings with his customer. He gave me a bid that I was happy with and most importantly all his paper work checked out and was up to date ( license, liability insurance and workmen comp). Please keep in mind that if a company does not carry workers comp. you could be liable for medical expenses if a worker gets injured on your property. He charged me $385 dollars to remove a rather large and tall tree limb by limb. While he was here I had him top off another tree and trim it for $100. My neighbor up on seeing his work had some trees removed off her property as well. The yard is as it was before he got there, just minus one tree. I hope you will give him a try, you will not be disappointed. In fact at the first of 2014 I will have him back to top off and trim a row of trees in my back yard. I will choose him without any other bids. Like a doctor, dentist, auto mechanic etc. if your pleased with the service you will not change. Thank You Don for removing that tree that I worried about every time a hurricane came into the Gulf.

+ -1 more.This company is the absolute best! Mr Don Hurd came the day after I called...he was here on a Saturday! I asked him to assess taking down a dead 80 year old HUGE hickory that was was adjacent to my greenhouse and a 250 sq foot garden house, in an area with no room to bring in equipment. The only way to get the tree down was to climb and cut...and remember, this tree was rotten. Mr Hurd gave me the estimate, which I agreed to and he promised to get back the following Monday to start work. He and his crew showed up early, started immediately and worked for 7 hours. When they left I found no damage to my buildings or to the surrounding plants. The area around the cutting was cleaner than when the crew arrived! They hauled all the debris out by hand except for the huge pieces of trunk which they retrieved w/ a small BobCat. They mulched everything on site and hauled every scrap away...after they had used a blower to clean up all evidence they had even been here. I WILL NEVER USE ANYONE FOR TREE WORK OTHER THAN THIS COMPANY. Mr Hurd really knows his trees and his advice on trimming some of my old live oaks was VERY conservative and I appreciate that attitude.
