"Worst Electrician ever. The guys name is Chris. Here is why you should not hire him: 1- He said his helper did not show up to work and needed help. I had to help him remove lights. I told him it was unprofessional. 2- He could not screw in bulbs or the glass around the bowls. He told me his hands were too big. I had to do it. 3- He complained constantly about the lights while throwing the F bomb. 4- I pulled out one of the lights. He did not connect the white wire that completes the circuit. Now I have to hire someone to inspect the work he did. After all that he wanted the entire amount of the estimate. I told him I had to help him with all the hanging lights. He complained and complained. I got to the point where I was sick of him and wanted him out of my house. I wrote him the check just to be done with him. DONT HIRE HIM! "

He said," I'm sorry to have to tell you this." Then he took me to the electric disconnect panel on the side of the house. He pointed to an area on the panel that was discolored. Then he sai, "you see this, this a burnt mark. That's not a good sign. You have to replace the panel as soon as possible because this is an immediate fire hazard." Having just become a single Mom, I asked to please be completely honest as I didn't have any extra funds nor did I have time for dishonesty and schams. He assured me that he was being honest and he rattled off their BBB ratings and license, etc. being in a panic mode I asked him how much they'd charge to replace the panel. He took out his tablet and did some numbers and then said, "I'm sorry it won't be cheap." I said, "how much." He said, "$4,000". I told to email me the quote. I was in a state of shock so I called another electrician to come and take a look. He came and looked at the panel and he said what I was told to be a burnt mark is actually simply oxidation from the Florida humidity. There ere no melted/bubbled wire sheathing to indicate any burning. Everything looked clean and in good shape. He also told me that even if the panel needs to be replaced it should not cost any more than $1,400 in total. I must say what Mister Sparks's representative did was a scare tactic aimed an single women --to scare them into spending a lot of money they don't have. So shameful and so very sad. By the way Mister Sparky recommended that I go with a portable generator-- price tag: $9,000 Be ware !"
