****Customers BEWARE***** Completely Unsatisfied with company. They were a few weeks late on starting the job, took over 6/7 weeks to complete the job. And we all know what the weather is like in Florida with the afternoon storms. Once the all the old shingles were removed from home, I was guaranteed by the Roofers my home was dried in for the summer afternoon storms. No sooner did they leave the storms came. All windows and sliding glass doors under the wrap around porch leaked. Had to protect my hardwood floors the best I could from being damaged. For a time there I thought I had a new water fall installed in my house instead of a new roof going on. Eave Drips - had to call roofers back out several times to repair, which they never repaired. I finally had to get a new roofer to make those repairs. Wrap around porch - had several links because the roof seems where not properly sealed. Roof was not properly prepped. If it was, we would not have had problem with a new roof leaking. Limited Lifetime workmanship guarantee by company - What?s that?. Don?t expect this from Riggins Roofing. Once the job was supposedly complete we couldn?t get him to answer his phone. Not much of a surprise for such a poor job. Now for the fun part ? Once job (supposedly) complete, Dan provided me with a Final Waiver of Lien from the supplier (my bag for accepting this) promising to provide a Release of Lien once he paid the supplier for the material. Dan (I use his first name since we personally knew him) was paid in full. Hey, like I said, we personally knew him ? he wouldn?t screw us. Oh, wait ? not so fast?? Little did we know that Dan worked out a payment schedule with the supplier to make payments to them which means our home was open to a lien at any time. At the same time this was going on I had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only was I going through a rough timewith treatment but my father was also diagnosed with terminal cancer. So, I had a lot on my mind and failed to follow up with the final Release of Lien. And of course we never heard anything from the supplier, so we took that as everything being on the up an up. What a joke?.. Wrong again. The job was done in July 2009. A lien was recorded on our property on 10/19/2009. We were never notified by the supplier that they were placing or had placed this lien on property for the unpaid bill. Is that actually allowed for a supplier to work out a payment schedule with the contractor while the while time they have a lien on your property???? Well in January 2010, David LLoyd the attorney (at least that who he said he was) finally decides to contact us by phone to advised they were calling in on their lien if we did not put a check in the mail that day. WOW, you have to be kidding me?? Since I never had to deal with something like this, my first thought was to pay them off in order to have the lien removed from my property and try to work with Dan to get my money back. I was in a turmoil not knowing what to do first. The attorney was calling us every day wanting to know where the money was (we were actually be harassed by them) and trying to make a deal with us. We finally got in touch with Dan who advised (now get this) this company is having hard time and getting ready to do under. Don?t worry about it because they want be around to call in the lien. REALLY!!!! Are you joking?? When asked why is didn?t pay, he advised he had personal issues. Well, I had personal issues but manage to pay his bill. Then he proceeds to tell me he has this escrow account set up with Guy Fisher at a realtor?s office to pay off the suppliers. What a run around. Supposedly he was getting all this realtors work and the realtor was holding his pay in an escrow account to pay off the suppliers. Finally after some research we found that not only did Dan do this to us but he had several customers he did this too. I did contact Guy Fisher, but after talking with him I realized this was another one of Dan?s scams. We were furious and we had every right to be. We finally had to get an attorney to handle this for us. So, not only was the job poorly done (with no guarantee), we were out money for new roofer to make repairs as well as attorney fees to clear this up. I could probably go on and on but I believe you have all the information you need when dealing with this company. Again ? CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! You?re in for one heck of a roller coaster ride with this company?

IN 2010 ROOF BEGAN TO LEAK AROUND CHIMNEY. CALLED AND GOT NO RESPONSE. AFTER DEALING WITH THEM OFF AND ON FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS, SOMEONE CAME OUT LOOKED AT ROOF, APPLIED SOME GOO AND SAID HE HAD TO ORDER SOMETHING TO REPAIR IT. THAT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS, NO WORD.TO SUMMARIZE: THIS COMPANY WILL NOT RETURN CALLS, DID POOR WORK, WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER, IGNORES YOUR CALLS AND VOICE MESSAGES. NOW, WE HAVE TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM TO GET THE CEILING INSIDE REPAIRED DUE TO THE DAMAGE AT A COST OF 500.00 DEDUCTIBLE. WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. IN FACT, WE HAVE MADE A REPORT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
Description of Work: NEW ROOF WAS INSTALLED IN 2006. WE PAID EXTRA TO HAVE A HIGHER QUALITY AND LONGER LASTING SHINGLES.
