Student Maid Inc

The first time we used Student Maid it was fine (overpriced, not spectacular, but fine). We scheduled a second cleaning but they apparently lost our appointment, and when I brought it to their attention they clearly scrambled to fit us in after the fact. The students were in an obvious hurry and the cleaning -- which took three hours the first time -- took barely over an hour and a half (and it showed). Additionally, one of the students broke a toothbrush holder right off the bat, and she said she'd report it immediately so we could be reimbursed but either she didn't or they didn't care to follow up, because I had to follow up with them several times. They offered to take the price off a third cleaning, which we accepted, but then quoted us a different rate than the first time and had issues with scheduling AGAIN. We finally gave up and asked them to cancel the appointment and just send us a reimbursement check, at which point they told us they had just been too busy with student apartment cleanings before fall-move-in (then why accept new clients?) and then offered us a free cleaning. We declined.

They have very reasonable rates, the young students are very polite and eager to please. They are all college students and it is a woman in Gainesville that started the company. I would recommend them.

They did a sloppy job, so now we have to clean the house ourselves. We complained, and they offered to reduce the price. We didn't want a lower price, we wanted the house clean so we wouldn't have to do it ourselves. We have had many other people clean our house not associated with this company, and this is the first time we have been dissatisfied. The cleaners were two male college students, and they cleaned like two male college students.

I was extremely pleased. Zach and Kaylee were the two students that were sent over to my condo and they were great. They were both very friendly and got to work right away. They were courteous and performed every special request I had. They did such a great job, i now request them by name. I highly suggest student maid and will continue to use them as my cleaning service of choice.

I like the service they provide and they are fast. The cleaners are University of Florida students that have to maintain a certain GPA to work there.
