The crew (Bair and Jesse) did a great job. They had a couple of helpers with the demo, but the installation was done by just these two. It's pretty clear that these guys have done a lot of countertops. A good bit of field work was required to get nice square joints and smooth edges, and they handled everything professionally. They were also very personable and easy to work with. There were a few rough edges from the demolition, and these guys went to extra trouble to fix these, including a piece of casing to cover a rough edge left in a wall under the countertop. They coordinated with their plumber Jesse, who came as they were finishing to give us a working sink, and his work was up to the same high standard. We are very pleased with the countertop, and I would recommend Smart Stone to anyone considering a countertop.

I first called Rob Martin to set up a time to talk about a new counter in my guest bathroom. He set a time, I showed up and he was very informative about what we would have to do...pick a granite color, provide my own sink (he does not carry vessel sinks so he gave me the name of a website to go to with MANY different sinks) and we then discussed having a plumber come right after to turn on the water. We set a time for him to come and take measurements. He was there at the date and time specified. When our sink arrived, we took it to him so he could make the template for the granite top. He called one day later and asked if the Friday would be acceptable to install and gave me an approximate time. He called 30 minutes before he arrived. He and his assistant installed the counter top and the vessel sink. The plumber came about 3 - 4 hours later (after everything was dry) and turned the sink on. The end results were beautiful. This company was so professional and pleasant to work with. I will call them again when I change out my sinks in the Master Bath. I highly recommend them.

I couldn't be more pleased, not only with the finished product, but with the whole experience. I very much appreciated the straight-forward, simple, personal approach of Mr. Martin. The job was easy to order, and see to completion since all contact is with Mr. Martin and he does the installation personally. He and his crew appeared exactly as scheduled and completed exactly as scheduled with no problems. It's a beautiful, perfect, reasonably-priced job and there was no drama or wasted time. I spent a good bit of time checking my options for this job and the costs involved before deciding on Smart Stone, and I am extremely happy I chose Smart Stone.

The job was perfect and moreover, the owner of the company, Rob Martin, made the whole experience stressless and seamless. From my first inquiry, he took the time to educated me about granite, his inventory, where he sourced his granite, and his pricing. Though I didn't think I was going to use granite, he didn't blow me off and was gracious when I did call him back weeks later. He met me that very same day at his shop, helped me with my selection, and came out to template the following day. From then to installation, he was very reachable and responsive. In short, his customer service was exceptional. He was punctual the day of installation, his crew was polite, and the job went perfectly. I cannot see or feel a seam in my countertops and they are everything and more than I expected. Being a local business with ample inventory made the process very easy. The owner (Rob Martin) did an outstanding job replacing our counters with granite. We toured his shop and picked out the slabs that would become our counters. Rob provided a quote that was about 40% less than the big guys and delivered flawless work. He came on the day and at the time he said he would and was done in 2 days. Our kitchen was SPOTLESS when he left. (I know this may sound familiar to many homeowners but in all the 9 homes we have owned over the past 30 years we could always find the seams, no matter what the material in the counter tops. This is the first time we cannot find any seams, although I know they are there!) He didn't leave until all our questions were answered (how to care for the granite, how often to seal it, what happens if we spill something that stains, etc). Although it was not strictly a counter top job, Rob also agreed to cut down an island for us to make our kitchen more user friendly (space-wise) AND provided his own plumber to hook up the new sink. We wanted to convert our electric stove top to gas and during the quoting process Rob gave us the name of his plumber (Justin) who also did a phenomenal job adding gas to the kitchen at about 1/2 the price we were quoted by others. (The big box guys wouldn't even talk to us because they said our local utility had to approve the work - not so!). Justin also made sure all our other gas appliances worked properly (water heater, gas grill and HVAC) after he turned the gas back on, even cleaning our water heater to improve the efficiency(!). Just another example of first-rate customer service. I could not be more pleased with the look and functionality of our and quot;newand quot; kitchen. I would recommend Rob and Justin to anyone who needs high quality work done at a VERY reasonable price. These are businessmen who know a great deal about the lost art of exceptional customer service and quality workmanship.

Rob, the owner of the company took out the existing kitchen countertops and replaced with beautiful granite.The job was completed in two days and the total invoice matched the original estimate.Rob also helped coordinate the plumbing work and the glass backsplash. The Smart Stone installation was 30-40% less than any other estimate that we received.The quality of the work was outstanding the the kitchen looks beautiful. We were so pleased with Rob's work that we have hired him to install granite countertops in all 3 bathrooms and also to install granite in the fireplace.
