Great job! One tree was in the center of our front yard; the second tree was between our neighbor's fenced yard and the foundation of our house. Both trees were climbed and removed in pieces. The second tree was removed using a huge crane that lifted limbs and trunk pieces over our roof. There were no problems with either tree. Sky Frog mechanically ground out the base of the first tree which was easily accessible from the street. The second tree base was left cut off close to the ground because of the tightness of its location. The picture attached shows the second pine's proximity to our house before removal by Sky Frog. I cannot speak highly enough of their work. We were very very nervous because our live oaks are hundreds of years old and absolutely stunning. We had quotes from 3 companies. The arborist at SkyFrog (Robin) impressed us with his knowledge and his agreement that the trimming should be done conservatively in order to preserve the natural shapes and life of the trees. The crew were friendly, receptive to input and Spencer did a masterful job on the live oaks -- threading the boom and bucket with no damage and trimming the tree without making it look like it had been trimmed! The foreman, Bryan, climbed the rain tree and did an excellent job and the rest of the crew were very hard working and operated as an effective team. I've never never never written a review of a tradesman -- SkyFrog was so good, I'm taking the time to review them. I recommend them without any hesitation. We will hire them again to keep the trees trimmed.

Great! They did a tremendous amount of work under less than the best circumstances and in bad heat. They were professional, courteous, and as efficient as they could be. They also did all in their power to clean up afterwards. I would definitely hire them again and will recommend them to everyone.

Outstanding. I would recommend Sky Frog very highly. Professional in every way, every member of the crew was a pro, courteous, and pleasant to talk to. They all went out of their way to make sure everything was done in the best possible manner. Several of the trees were in tricky locations, and they handled the removal with great care and safety. They did all this while working around the issues and time constraints created by the hurricane that passed through mid-job. I cannot praise them enough and would hire them again without pause. Highly recommended.

They were going to do a big deal to get this tree out and I didn’t think it needed a big deal, Crain and all that stuff. They were fine but it seemed they were going to overdo it in a sense. They wanted to bring a Crain in my back yard.

I'm not an arborist but I felt like the gentleman doing the service had multiple reasons or excuses as he could not do things exactly the way I wanted it. He did okay but I thought he could do a better complete job.

This is the 2nd time we've used SkyFrog to remove pine trees in our yard. They are always professional, on time, extremely knowledgeable about the safest way to remove trees without damaging surrounding mature trees and landscape, and they do an excellent job of cleaning up. They were recommended to us by neighbors who have been very happy with their work as well. They may be a little more expensive than other companies, but we feel that they provide superior work.

A tree fell partly onto my lanai Thursday night, and fell further on Friday. I tried calling other services, but they either did not return my call or said it would be several days until they could get to me. On the advice of my insurance agent, I tried call Skyfrog Saturday morning. John answered right away, and was over within an hour to look at the situation. He and his team returned later that day to minimize the damage, and came first thing on Monday to complete the job. John was wonderful: honest, and actually reassuring during a stressful time. His team was expert, working quickly and neatly. They left my yard looking like nothing happened! I cannot recommend this company strongly enough.

Everything about the service was excellent in every detail and when finished, they did not just clean up, they left the area neater than it was before they arrived. 2 thumbs up.

They did the whole job in just three days, coming back the fourth day at the cement contractor's request to grind the stumps deeper. The crew was polite, friendly, efficient ? and gutsy! Only the heaviest rain brought them under cover. They were careful enough, even with their heavy equipment, that I was able to spare a small elm tree in the "kill zone," which will be the focus of a new garden. I would not hesitate to hire them again. One caveat, and this was my fault. I didn't know the cement contractor wanted the roots removed as well, so he (unhappily) ended up removing them, himself. If you are going to pour a cement foundation in an area where big trees are being removed, do include root removal in your contract for tree removal and stump grinding.

Robin came to our house the same day to perform the estimate. He is very courteous and knowledgeable. He is truly a professional. We received the estimate the same day. The company took care of all the paperwork needed to obtain the permit from our association and kept in communication with me. They called us ahead of time to let us know when the work would be performed. I was not present when they took down the tree but what can I say? The tree was gone when I got home and my lawn looked great. Robin called that same today to let me know the work had been completed and the large logs that were left were to be picked up in a couple of days. Indeed they were. This is the second time we have used this company and plan to continue to use them in the future to trim our trees. They may not be the cheapest in town but they are fully insured and professional and will assist you in obtaining approval, if needed.

Add us to the long list of happy Skyfrog customers. We had Skyfrog remove a large tree which was rotting at the base. We asked John for two prices, one price to remove the debris, and another price to leave the debris on site, which John was happy to do in his bid. John's a friendly well informed fellow, and I enjoyed a couple of fun conversations with him. He returned to the site the day of the job to ensure everybody involved was clear on what work had been agreed upon. We wound up choosing the option to leave the debris on site, which resulted in a significant savings. The Skyfrog crew agreeably put the branches I could manage in one pile, while putting the large trunk logs in another pile. This allowed me to remove most of the debris myself, while leaving the big stuff behind a fence. Skyfrog showed up right on time for our appointment, but as soon as they pulled on to our property a big rain storm started, so we had to reschedule. Instead of returning our job to the bottom of the waiting list, Skyfrog came back promptly and finished the work, which was appreciated. One of the things we like about Skyfrog is that they are a big enough company to have at least two staff members who are focused on customer service. Thus, any time we had any need for communication it was easy to almost immediately talk with them via either phone or email. All communications were prompt, professional and polite. The only thing I can think of to complain about in this review is that Skyfrog has given me nothing to whine about. Darn it you guys!! Oh well, no company is perfect I guess. :-) Thumbs up for Skyfrog, a friendly professional company that has earned our respect. They should definitely be on the list of companies you have bid on your own tree work.

I had gotten three previous estimates on the work needed and they were from $2800 to $3500 and I was told by two of them that they could not grind the stumps in the back yard due to the size of my gates. Robin Gargis came out and went over each thing that I needed done and assured me that they could do the job. I had to be out of town for a few days and would call them to schedule when I returned. Once on the schedule the entire job of removing the trees was done over two days. They asked if they could put the bucket truck on the driveway but since we had just replaced it the previous year I felt that it would be better not to have the heavy truck on it. That did not cause any problem with the work being done. The entire crew were so very professional in every thing that they did. Watching them work it was very obvious that safety was a big part of the job. Before they finished the taking down the trees and trimming the one remaining, I was asked if everything was what the way I wanted. All debris was picked up the next day and my yard was left very clean. When we had the driveway redone, GRU marked that the sewer line was very near one of the trees that was taken down. The grinding was on hold until the utilities were marked. Once that was done all of the stumps were ground out or shaved, the one near the sewer line, in just a few hours. Once again the area was left very clean and the residue of the grinding/shaving was left in neat piles in the yard. I will be using the oak chips for mulch and will check with the county as to whether the Chinese Tallow mulch is usable. I have dealt with many different workmen in different areas and I have to say that the crew from Sky Frog and Bill Brown, who did the grinding, are among the best that I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of tree work.

I love my Skyfrogs! They're my go-to people when it comes to tree work. They are extraordinarily well skilled, and professional. They're fully insured and send proof of coverage with their proposal (beware of anyone who doesn't). They're a bit pricey but when you consider all that can go wrong with a job like this, it's well worth the extra cost for such skilled climbers. They've done a stellar job for me in the past and usually clean up after themselves to the point where you are unable to tell that they were there. This time around they did a wonderful job with the tree work but there were quite a number of large, deep holes where the tree parts had fallen, small stray branches left behind, and they forgot to put my birdbath back on it's platform. I realize from my past experience with them that this wasn't their normal modus, and it was the only thing that wasn't on par with their normal outstanding level of service. It should also be noted that they worked me in very quickly to their overloaded schedule because one of the trees was posing a considerable hazard. So all things considered, I am very well satisfied and will most definitely use them again in the future.

John is very professional. He provided me with a written estimate the same day. He handled the permits from the association and answered all my questions. The work was performed on time. I was not present when they took down the trees but my neighbor said they were very nice and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. I noticed a large branch overlooking our roof was not taken down and I called John. He arranged for them to go back and take it down. Overall, I am very pleased and would use them again.

Procedure went great, team was well organized and respectfull of property. Also did some side jobs with efficiency. Price as quoted with discount for Angies list. Only problem was that the owner of company refused to change his answering machine ring tone from the "Marine Corps Anthem" to the Navy Anthem "Anchors Away"

Providers like Skyfrog reinforce the idea that Angie's List is a good referral list and the trend of the future. So far the best referral there is in the market. A gust of wind broke a branch in one of my trees in my backyard that fell on the house of my neighbor, she was very unpleased and threated to sue and presented a formal complain to the city who sent me a very ugly notification. She called a tree service company who removed the branch from my tree fallen on her property. She also demanded that I should use the same company to remove my tree. I talked to that provider (who is also in Angie's List) and they send me a quotation that seemed a little overpriced. Both the service provider and my neighbor keep pressing very hard that I should hire this company. I checked on Angie's List and found a tree service provider that was rated A and had many good revisions (the first company was rated B, and a statement that they were not clear in their initial statements). They came to my property promptly but at my convenience, assessed the work required and e-mail me an estimate. They contacted the power company (GRU) because the tree was too close to the air lines of power, something that the first company declared was not needed. The power company said they didn't have a clear schedule to take down the power lines in at least a week, Skyfrog requested for an emergency opening and they got it. GRU came the next day and the cut the lines, immediately Skyfrog worked on the tree, and others that could posse a threat to my property and my neighbors'. They executed the work in a very efficient way, I watched while they were working and I was very impressed with their professionalism, expertise and experience, very rare to see in any field. The trees are gone (somehow it makes me sad) and also the dread of a negative action from the City (which definitely makes more happy). The work was done in a remarkable efficiency and promptness, the cost was two thirds of the first provider estimate, they added stump removal, and they also cleaned the debris (which the first provider didn't include). What my neighbor paid for the removal of the branch was way much higher than what I paid for all the work in my property, including but not limited to the removal of the tree.
