Richard Guay was referred by our realtor to work on numerous items on our home inspection report. He had a difficult time managing his subcontractors (the plumbers came on the 5th try); some of his caulking work needed to be redone (it had failed by the next day); he completely missed several areas around the windows (until we pointed them out); his job estimates did not give a price breakout for each piece (we should have insisted on this so we could make adjustments when his 10 hour plumbing estimate turned into a 5 hour job); and his price for small add-ons was exorbitant. Part of this is our own fault, of course. We should never have used a general contractor when a handyman and a plumbing company would have sufficed.
