I emailed Betsy Pepine about a house I wanted to look at and to begin a relationship to search for other houses. Betsy met me at the house I originally emailed about and was very nice and very professional. At the end of the showing, Betsy told me that she was going out of town for a week and that one of her agents would take care of me until she returned. I never heard from her again. Beth contacted me and began showing me houses. My husband and I eventually assumed that Betsy had written us off to one of her agents because our budget wasn't high enough for her to deal with us. It quickly became clear to us that Beth was not a very experienced real estate agent, or if she was then she wasn't really doing us justice. Almost every house we looked at I found on zillow.com and then gave her the MLS#. Although I planned with Beth to look at about 4 houses on a Sunday in advance, the day we went out to look, Beth was calling the homeowners to see if we could look at the houses then rather than making appointments in advance like I expected a professional real estate agent would. We were not able to see one of the houses we planned to look at because the homeowner was not given enough notice. We planned to finsh out the day and then tell her that we were going to take a break from looking so we could find another real estate agent, but it turned out that the last house on our list for that day happened to be the one we ended up buying, so we stuck it out with Beth. Once the negotiations began and we were under contract, I had questions because we had never bought a house before. It seemed Beth became short with me, only giving me one or two word answers, and for a while we didn't hear from her at all, even just to check in. Once we entered the countdown for closing, we scheduled our inspections, and Beth was needed to open up the house. She forgot the day of the inspection and was 30 minutes late. Once arrived, she paid us little to no attention and was calling other clients while dealing with us. She ended up leaving before the inspection was over and asking the inspector to lock up for her. The day of closing, Beth was late and sat outside the conference room where we closed for 20 minutes while we signed documents instead of asking the receptionist whether our closing had started or looking for our closing agent. My husband and I were severly disappointed with how we were treated by Pepine Realty and its agents.
Description of Work: I called Betsy Pepine for her services as a real estate agent as my husband and I were looking to buy our first home. One of her agents, Beth Graetz, became our real estate agent.
