They kept postponing installation after having our deposit. Didn't complete the work promised. Made appointments with company to complete work, they would say they were coming on a certain day and didn't show. Tracked paint all over the floor that wouldn't come off. We had to complete the work on our own after several months of calling them, setting up appointments and having them not show. I am not sure of exact date of installation.

When we bought our home, it came with a home warranty through American Home Shield. Once it started into the summer months and started to get extremely hot, our a/c broke. Becuase we had the home warranty, we could not pick who came to come work on our AC. McGhin Heating and Air was sent out through the home warranty company. The overall experience with this company was horrible! They came out to the house over 13 times and still did not fix the AC! Meanwhile, I was having to take off time from work to come meet the technicians. Needless to say, I began to get extremely frustrated near the 13th visit with no AC still. I called the company to schedule yet another appointment and asked for an estimated time of arrival so I could coordinate it with my work schedule. The woman's response was "Somewhere between morning and dark-thirty." I finally had enough and demanded that the home warranty company send out another company. The next day Burlington Services arrived on time and fixed the AC on their first visit! I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are extrememly rude and obviously do not possess the knowledge to fix AC systems.

I contacted this company after getting an extremely high estimate from another company. Mr. McGhin was pleasant and personable, and took the time to explain and show me, in detail, exactly what he would be doing. I had him over for a free estimate. The price he quoted me was less than one-eighth that of the first company, because he was able to repair, rather than replace, the fan motor. Also, the labor cost was very reasonable. The whole experience, from A to Z was done quickly, and I was soon in comfort again, with hardly a ding to my wallet. I was happy to be able to tell Mr. McGhin that he had just created a new "customer for life".

Initially they sent out a service tech who misdiagnosed the problem. However the owner (Ira) came out himself (required two more trips) and made sure himself the furnace problem was fixed. Covered under a home warranty and they did not ask for any additional monies other than the one time $50 co-payment. All grades would have been "A" if only that first service person was not involved. We were told that person was subsequently fired.
