Installed frameless glass enclosure in bathroom. Everything went well.

I am still waiting!!!! It took 5 weeks for them to give me an estimate. I have dealt with them in the past and talked to other customers who gave great reviews. I'm in no hurry so I don't mind that it is taking a while. I liked going to the showroom to see actual products (didn't realize there was so much difference). At this point, they have ordered the glass and parts. It may take another week or two for those to come in. I will update my review when the job is finished. Meanwhile, I've paid 50% and will pay the balance when the job is done.

The glass was sized correctly and replaced. However, one pane had a defect (vendor responsibility) and GG&M got a replacement and replaced the pane quickly. They did an excellent job.

This could be a case study in bad customer service. I needed a large (7' x 5') piece of fixed glass fabricated and installed for a shower. I called ahead to make sure someone would have time to meet with me. When I showed up, at the office, the entry door is a stable-style door (bottom half closed, top half open). I lean in and tell the gal (Darlene?) I was the guy that called about shower glass. "yeah, whadya want?" Not very welcoming. I've got a sketch of what I want, I've got a photo of the space, I want to talk about track... and at some point while I'm leaning in trying to have a conversation with her across the room I think, "Is she going to get up?!" She finally does and looks over my materials. I tell her I wanted either 3/8" or 1/2" glass and she quickly replies. "You don't want 1/2". We hate 1/2". It's too much trouble for us to work with." uh... that's the tail wagging the dog, isn't it? We finish up and she says, "I can't get you now; I'm too busy." Ok... so I give her my email address. It took her almost two weeks to get me that quote! Not that it mattered because when I left, my first thought was, "I don't know who I'm going to get to do this work, but it sure as heck won't be these folks." My next stop made this visit look all the worse. Next business day, I go in to meet with Harry at Precision Glass. He pulls up a chair for me and treats me like the most important customer they've got. I tell him I'm not sure if I want 3/8" or 1/2" glass. Harry: "follow me." He takes me to display showing the two products and says, "look how good this 1/2" looks. It looks high end, it's substantive and check how solid it looks with those beveled edges. You put 1/8" beveled edges on 3/8" and it just doesn't look as good." Me: "it's not too heavy to work with?" Harry: "of course not. that's what we do." He talked to me about track options, finish options, towel bars, you name it. He spent close an hour with me before I left. Guess who got my business?

The large and unusual mirrors might have been beyond the scope of Golden's ability, or the contractor, who was five months overdue on what he initially promised would be only a five month project, was putting undue pressure on his suppliers to work quickly at the end of the job. Whatever the cause, none of the mirrors provided by Golden is perfect. The largest mirror was chipped at a corner, and instead of replacing it, they shortened and smoothed one side of the mirror. Not only was that side out of scale, the new edge was crooked. Golden again tried to fix it, and again the bevel was off scale with the other sides and the corner that had been chipped was noticeably rounded. In the end, in order to get the project completed, we decided to accept the inferior product and the contractor reduced the price of the work. We would have rather paid for the service had a lovely mirror. In addition, at this time all the mirrors Golden set near water are already rusting.

Workers were prompt and professional and worked well together. They cleaned up everything before they left including cleaning the new glass in the door.

Our sliding glass doors are 40 years old. They had gotten so ornery enough over time that we almost had to hire sumo wrestlers just to get them open or closed. We had stopped using them at all and walked the long way around to get to the pool. Golden Gate came to the rescue, and replaced the ancient rollers and track they ride on. The door now opens so easily you can literally open it using just your baby pinky finger. Tomorrow I'm going to try to open the door using only my thoughts, and I bet it will work. :-) The crew showed up on time, were polite and friendly, engineered their way around some obstacles, and left the job site cleaner than they found it. We look forward to seeing them again when we get around to doing the other doors. Thumbs up for Golden Glass, thanks guys!

Marvin came out and fixed everything. He's a true craftsman. He practically rebuilt the door and now it works beautifully. He was so pleasant, as was Veronica. They are a very good company and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Had shower door and surround replaced. Looks good . Appreciate that they have small showroom where you can seen doors and windows that are possible. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Had price estimate from Home Depot prior which was several hundred dollars higher than the price from Golden class.

They were on time for both the estimate and install appointments. I believe the price was fair and the jobs were well done.

We had three failures before this and believe the new installation will solve problem [wide door for wheelchair access]

I have contacted another provider in town. After multiple failed attempts to get them out to my home to do a repair I called Golden Glass. Vicki was up front with me and told me that it would be a few days before they can come out, but can schedule an appointment. The other company (WindowMan) I called would not even schedule an appointment for me, just left me in limbo. The repair man called prior to arriving to let me know he was on his way and was on time of scheduled appointment. The work was fast and clean. This company values their customers!!

The gentleman (I believe he is the owner) from Golden Glass and Mirrors arrived on time (as opposed to many other providers), to look at my windows. The windows were not staying up and needed new balances. I am quite handy, but was unable to find replacement balances online because the windows are very heavy and require a special order balance. I didn't want to order it alone, being afraid that I would order the wrong one and be stuck with it. Golden Glass offered to order it for me, and I could pick it up from their showroom and install it alone to save me the pricey service call. This is exactly what I did, and I am very happy with the product they got for me, as well as the price.

The whole thing went great. They were perfectly on time and got started right away. They did a great job and were really quick about getting it done.

Installers arrived on time and since it was the same team that had done the initial measuring, the mirror fit perfectly. They were courteous, neat and very professional and the mirror looks great.

They were great. Did a good job and didn't make a mess.

I am still talking to people but George, who runs the business, was extremely helpful, energetic, and enthusiatic to find me the right person to do the job. I have not yet started the project but excited to and would definitely recommend Golden Glass to others.

I am using them for a second time right now. They did a phenomenal job, excellent pricing, their responsiveness is exceptional. George the owner of the company come out to give the estimates. They have a store location that you can go check out models of your windows. They are replacing the rest of the windows in my house next week.

The installers came on time, were very nice, and did an excellent job. They worked quickly, quietly, and didn't leave any mess.

First of all this company came out (late) to give me an estimate and incorrectly stated that I would need a custom sliding door ordered (which was astronomically priced); after I asked them to come back out and re-measure (as I knew it was a standard size door) they realized they had measured incorrectly. I was very specific when telling them that I needed to have the work done as soon as possible and it took them over 3 months to pull the permits and schedule an appointment. On the date of installation they showed up 45 minutes late and were very impersonal in addition to telling me that I did not need to post the permit until they were finished. (This is absolutely incorrect as my mother is a codes inspector and I know that the permit MUST be posted immediately as work is being done.) The owner of the company showed up an hour later, walked into my house without knocking, and walked directly up my stairs to where the workers were without saying hello, or even acknowledging my presence. I went upstairs to make it clear that I would like to be made aware of others coming in to my house and asked how the work was going and was then told "not to worry my little head over it". The owner left and I smelled the overpowering stench of cigarette smoke and went upstairs to find both workers smoking with my sliding glass door completely open, filling the house with smoke. When I asked them not to smoke with the doors open, they both walked downstairs, and proceeded to sit in their truck for 25 minutes to smoke. I assumed they were taking their lunch break and were too rude to inform me, but after they came back in and worked for another hour they left the house again for ANOTHER break....this time they were outside for 45 minutes taking their sweet time smoking and finally eating their lunch. The quality of the windows and door and incredible, too bad their service SUCKS.
