After we called, c contractor promptly gave us and estimate along with a date when the work could be performed. We were very pleased with the work. It was started and completed on schedule. His workers were efficient and polite and the clean-up was thorough. We've only found a couple of roofing nails in the grass since then. With over 18 inches of rain since the work was done, we see no sign of leaks. Chris and his crew did an excellent job at a competitive price. We would definitely use them again.

I would highly recommend giving this company a chance to earn any of your roofing needs.Godwin roofing was a pleasure to do business with. When I called for an estimate they called back and kept all appointments. The explained all of my options for my roof replacement.They were very competitive with their pricing,when they came to do the job they were on time and very efficient in their work.Supervisors and the owner of the company came to the job site on and off all day long.They explained why some of my plywood needed to be replaced and also gave me a very good price to replace the rotting wood around my chimney.They took care to remove all trash from my house.They had the entire old roof off in less than half a day and completed the job on the second day.And it was very hot on both days. So again I would recommend giving them a call.

This company is very professional. They do the job with no surprises in a very time efficient manor. The job site is clean and a Forman supervises the work. I interviewed 6 companies before selecting Godwin. They were the obvious choice. I am more than pleased with the new roof!

Everything went very well.They were extremely organized and did the whole roof in one day as predicted. We had 5 estimates, which were all in the same price range, but chose them because they were professional, took time to sit down with usand explain all options, without trying to sell their products and services. They provided good size samples of all the shingle color options we were considering, which only one other company had offered. Very happy with the result and look. Due to the age of the roof, we had to have 17 sheets of plywood replaced (I was home and they really looked bad). They had predicted at least this number or more. So we paid no more than the max. predicted. Everyone else's estimates were between 2 and 4 sheets of plywood, which would have cost us much more in the end than expected. Always good to know ahead of time what the worse case scenario will be. When they came back to pick up leftover materials, I asked for advice on what to do with the old plumbing pipes, which were an eyesore on the nice new roof. They told me to just paint them which I planned to do. After all was done and paid for, I came home the next day to find the pipes painted, perfectly matching the roof. A very a nice and much appreciated surprise and bonus!!!!

One of the things that stood out about the provider was the provider's honesty. The pricing was perfect. The quality of the service helped to reduce my power bill by two thirds.

It went very well. They were courteous and professional. I had to call them back one time to clean up a little better. It was partially my fault but they were able to come back and clean the rest up. A tip to Angie's List members looking to get roof work done. It is best to have your landscaping neat and tidy when the roofers come. This makes clean up easier.

Replaced 20-year old roof. They did a great job!

Very responsive. First easy fix did not work. Stayed with job until it was completely repaired. 2-3 hours on a hot sunny day. No frustrations, kept me completely informed. The man working had a college degree, but unable to find work in his field so doing roofing. Great guy, good company. Definitely will rehire when and if needed.

I cannot say enough nice things about this company. A family business, it is run by the grandson of the founder, and they do things right. The crew were all efficient, hard-working, and polite. They even took care not to disturb a bird's nest when I pointed it out. The foreman was a frequent visitor, as was the owner. I felt throughout that I was in good hands--and the new roof is beautiful! A further note: When my insurance company refused to accept the wind mitigation form provided automatically when the roof was finished, Chris Tenney sent an inspector to document the roof's hurricane worthiness--at his own expense!--saving me over $250 on my yearly premiums. I can't recommend this company highly enough! 5/15/15 I had to call the company because my roof was leaking--NOT THEIR FAULT!--and they were so prompt and professional that I wanted to say again how great I think they are. This is my favorite contractor of all time.

They did it all in 3 days. Were very professional, did a good clean-up job and came in one budget. Chris is very easy to work with and monitors the work. We would use them again

A great experience after hearing nightmare roofing stories. I contacted Chris Tenney at Godwin Green Roofing for an estmate and he arrived at the agreed upon time and I had an estimate almost immediately. I had called six other roofers, some who were too busy to give me an estimate, some who made appointmentsbut didn't show up, and some whose estimates where thousands above Godwin's. The roof construction ran smoothly from start to finish. The crew was extremely professional, hardworking and efficient, arriving on time and cleaning up was the work site daily before departure. My roof looks beautiful!

WOW!!! A+++ for this company!!! I've built 5 houses and 4 churches/schools. This company is the best I've ever used. Godwin Green Roofing, Chris Tenney, owner, and the entire re-roofing crew are absolutely superb. They love what they do and take great pride in providing superior workmanship. The owner, Christ Tenney, is an extremely knowledgeable University of FL graudate. He came to my home, and, spent about two hours explaining, in detail, what he recommended, including CertainTeed Landmark Architectural style "algae resistant" shingles using a "Titanium" type synthetic underlay which would act as a much better vapor barrier than the old 30lb felt underlay. He left a detailed proposal and talking paper on "The Godwin Difference." Very professional. Whle I received 4 other bids, Godwin Green was chosen because of the quality of their materials, their professionalism, and their love and excitement for restoring roofs at a reasonable price. The entire crew was professionial and very polite. They were very clean---cleaned up every night. The old felt under the old shingles was reduced to sand and many sheets of plywood had to be replaced because of dry rot. They not only removed the old shingles but had the entire roof covered with the new synthetic underlay on the first day---using a double crew. Each day the crew checked the pressures in their nail guns to insure that 6 nails per shingle were properly seated in the wood to protect against wind damage in this hurricane area. They removed and replaced 40 squares of shingles, 4 skylights replaced with double gas-filled tinted glass, and cut in and installed 7 offset ridge vents. The job was completed in three days with minimal disruption to our personal lives. Fantastic experience with an excellent Roofer. Highly recommend this A+++Roofer and professional crew!!!

Chris was prompt in arrival and giving estimates on 3 different types of roofing jobs and left sample of roofing material. While not the lowest estimate, I went with this company because it was by far the most professional in handling questions and approach to business. They were able to start a few days early on the project and completed on time (one half day rain delay on day two). The owner was present and supervised almost the entire project although the crew would probably have done well without him being there. They were timely, and worked at a steady pace (no "hanging around" doing nothing). Cleanup was done throughout the project and debris removed at night. These guys were highly organized to my relief. No follow up needed after project completion as no problems occurred. Chris gave status updated throughout the process. My neighbor watched this project and was impressed with the operation and I have recommended Godwin to a friend. The friend that told me about Godwin Roofing wished she had used them after having her roof done by a lower estimate firm. I looked at a number of Godwin roofs in her neighborhood and spoke with owners who were enthusiastic about this locally owned company that does not advertise.

What a great experience I had with the entire process. Chris came by to give me an estimate before I had closed on the house. I think I had a total of 4-5 people whom I spoke with to get estimates on a new roof. A few I saw on Angie's List, but Godwin Roofing was referred to me by my realtor. Chris explained to me what was going to be done, told me what might occur, and explained to me some of the problem areas on my roof. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Which I did have a lot. As soon as I told Chris I wanted to hire his company, we scheduled a time to start (about a week later). The entire process took about 3.5 days. The men that were here working were very polite and respectful. They also told me what was going on with my roof on a daily basis. When the project was done, they cleaned up everything. I think I found a total of 3-4 mails but they also told me that was common. Also, anything they had to move, they put back, (like my grill and hammock), plus they helped me throw away some other things I couldn't lift into the dump . On the day the roof was finished, Chris's grandfather was there for the final inspection. He founded the company. I spoke with him for a while about all type of things, including what he's done with the company, how it was founded, how he replaced roofs for free for people after the hurricanes. Godwin Green Roofing is really an amazing company. I highly recommend them. So the final test was on the last day they finished up, two days later a tropical storm came by and it poured rain for 2-3 days. Not a leak or a problem with the roof at all.
