+ -1 moreI was probably lucky to catch Chad at the business on the first visit. As stated on their web site, they work by appointment, so be sure to contact them first. Chad quoted $60 for the diagnostic, but that is waived with a repair. Overall, a very good experience.
Description of Work: After a lightning strike at my home, my old G4 desktop computer had several issues. I searched for a nearby authorized Apple service provider and found Everything Mac in Gainesville. I did not know an appointment was needed and I simply drove to their location with my computer. Chad Glenn was there and promptly and courteously handled my request for diagnostics. (He did not even mention that I should have had an appointment.) A few days later, he called to let me know that my hard drive could be saved, but the logic board had problems that could only be repaired with a costly replacement. I agreed that the cost would be greater than the value of the computer and asked Chad to package the drive in a case that would allow me to use it as an external hard drive and he agreed. Again, in just a couple of days, he called to let me know it was ready and I made an appointment to pick it up. The cost was very reasonable and the drive is performing as expected.
