Carpet One Floor & Home

Carpet One charged me for the balance before the job was completed. This is opposite of what they told me on the phone. They then threatened to place a lien on my property if I disputed the charge with my credit card. Their installers did not finish the job as scheduled because they got drunk the night before and didn't show up to work.

We picked out the carpet that went in. They did a fine job. They came when they said they would. Two workers came to do the job. They hauled the old carpet off and took care of it.

Cathy Wilding-Lewis was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me in the selection of new flooring for my home. She and the other employees from Carpet One were always on time and responsive to my questions. Everything was completed on time and on budget. The floors still look brand new five months after installation. I am planning to redo the kitchen and bathrooms next and will contact Cathy first to help with my needs for those rooms.

Carpet was good but I had to constantly watch for the hurry up and get out attitude of the crew. Had to have them re adjust minor issues. Installers broke our mirror glass closet doors. Back splash tiles were crooked and had to be redone on one surface and some are still crooked. Wood thresholds had to redone due to wrong size material ordered. Ashley even sent my email with concerns to the installers which is a Huge lack of professionalism.

Started out good. I expressed all my concerns about the installation of this product. I was assured that the installers knew what they were doing and that Carpet One stood behind their service. Half way through the job my confidence in the installers was eroded. The floor was left filthy and caked with some coating. It took weeks to clean it, which I ended up doing myself. The transition from the flooring to a tiled bathroom has never been resolved. I keep calling the owner and he keeps saying they'll fix it...... it's been three months.

I worked with Denny at the Tower Road location. He was very helpful at finding a floor that matched my flooring I had installed over 10 years ago and pricing was very competitive. His workers were professional and did a good job. I had a minor problem that was fixed promptly.

We worked with Ashley and she was so wonderful to work with. We needed to match an existing wood floor that was in another location in the house and she did it. Also the floors we originally chose were on backorder, however we could not wait, so once again Ashley did more research and found us the same type of floor with a different manufacturer, which looks beautiful! The installers were great! They were on time, did a fantastic job and cleaned up every little piece of dust! I would recommend asking for Ashley, you will not be disappointed!

We had inquired about flooring in another store and was impressed by the knowledge of those in the store and the time they spent explaining products pros/cons to us. Based upon this we asked them to visit and provide an estimate.

The owner consulted with me regarding color match of the hardwood to my house's palette. Her advice was absolutely dead on perfect, the style, the color, the match, the quality. The price (which included removal of carpet, cleaning the subfloor, installation, attaching quarter-round---everything from start to finish) beat any other place of which I had estimates by far. There were no hidden costs, no and quot;fuzzy math.and quot; Straight up clarity from beginning to end. The installation was scheduled quickly to accomodate my out of town plans. The installers were on time, completed the project without mess or delay or drama! Nothing was and quot;collateral damagedand quot; which is always a concern with home remodels. The owner dropped in periodically to oversee the crew and ensure quality work, including complete removal of subflooring dirt and dust before they were approved to begin installation. The floors are absolutely gorgeous, complement and enhance my house and nothing could have been easier or worry free........or at a better price. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and certainly plan to use them again in the future. THIS experience is why we should use local businesses, not impersonal big chain companies. Carpet at a home we own and rent out was destroyed by tenants. Dog urine...etc. The Carpoet and pad had to be torn out. Looking for Carpet for a rental home we own. Looked around a few different places first. Went to their showroom and Dennie was great. He was very helpful and guided us to what was best for us (even though it meant less $ for him). He came out to the home and gave us all kinds of great advice and referrals. Above and beyond. Ken installed with someone else (sorry can't remeber his name), and they did a great job (our last carpet started to bunch up because installation was not great. Also was in touch with Jodi to make payments and she was great also. Everyone took their time and showed great care an professionalism, with some warmth and comfort mixed in. We ended up with a higher quality product, highest quality service, and the lowest price we found. Too good to be true sometimes isn't I guess. The entire experience was exceptional. The services received, the price....everything. It is hard to find people who take such care with and pride in their work. It is almost impossible to find people who do so when you are getting the cheap carpet for a rental property. We can't imagine it having been done any better, and HIGHLY recommend them. The man who installed our carpet did a great job; however, he was alone and sick with a bad cold, so it took 13 hours. I gave the "professionalism" category a "B" because I thought the professionalism of the installer should be "A" but the professionalism of the company should be "C." I was not pleased that they sent one man to do a job that size. In all fairness, the installer said he had worked alone in the past and when I complained to my salesman, he said they normally send 2 people but the other man had an appointment that day. Since we had planned this well in advance, I think the company should have substituted another person, or if the appointment was a last minute thing, they might have asked us if we wanted to move the installation up a day so we could have had 2 men do the job in 6 or 7 hours instead of one man taking 13 hours. To his credit, I applaud the installer for working so hard when he must not have felt very well, and I will say he did a fabulous job. The carpet looks great. Unfortunately, my husband, who was here all day that day, came down with a very bad cold as well. I would hire this company again, but I would specify that I wanted 2 installers.

We needed to replace the carpeting in a recently purchased home b/c the previous owners had a cat and I have cat allergies. I got 3 estimates from 3 stores in town for the same carpeting and similar pads. Dennie Shepard at Carpet One had the best price by $500+ AND he was by far the friendliest, most helpful, honest, and best at customer service. I just loved my experience working with Dennie from start to finish and I've worked with many home improvement people in the past. he was fantastic and went above and beyond. When the carpet installers scratched up our bamboo flooring thresholds that lead into the carpeted rooms, he said and quot;no problem. i'll replace them right away.and quot; The guys he had install the flooring were also first rate. They didn't just cut around the closet organizer and and quot;patchand quot; the carpet. They actually put the carpet underneath it. It was a pleasure from start to finish. I would never hesitate using Dennie and Carpet One for anything.

The selection of the carpet....the ordering...installation and repair all went very well. The sales rep as well as the installation crew were very helpful and pleasant at the time of installation as well as at the time of repair. We were very pleased with this company's product and service and overall attitude toward the consumer on this occasion and this is the second time we have used this company for flooring.
