GREAT - Brian is very reliable, cleans up after and does great work.
Description of Work: Fixed leaky laundry tub drain pipes, replaced converter valve in tub so when you pulled it the tub and shower did not run at the same time, only the shower. Previously installed new faucets in several bathrooms.

The owner accepted the job and assured me that the company had done bathroom plumbing many times before. He complained the entire time about the work. To my surprise, he made bizarre requests to complete the job, such as removing the old toilet flush drain and replacing it with a new one; and then he demanded that I buy a special-made toilet rather than using the one I had already purchased from Home Depot. When I asked why, he lost his temper because I questioned his judgement. When he placed the new tub in its position, it was set far from the wall without connecting the water faucet valve. Now, I am left with an extra cost to connect the water faucet so the tub can be used. This company is not reputable or knowledgeable of basic plumbing needs.
Description of Work: I contacted "As Quick As I Can Plumbing" to remove a commode and a bathtub, and replace them with new ones. To finalize the job, they were expected to connect the commode and bathtub with their water valve and faucet connections.

I called Quick As I Can Plumbing on a Friday afternoon to inquire about getting an estimate for a re-pipe of my original galvanized steel pipes that were failing. Brian came early Saturday morning to provide a quote which was appreciated as the other two companies I contacted were Mon-Fri only. The price was very reasonable and Brian was very thorough in explaining everything they would be doing and answering my questions. I hired Quick as I can and Brian and his crew came out the following Friday morning, on time, and went right to work. They did a great job with the re-pipe, cleaned up their mess, and had the water on same day. They came out again Saturday morning to run a new water line to the carport and tidy up a few items. They also spent time on Saturday troubleshooting an issue unrelated to their work and went above and beyond what was required. I wholeheartedly recommend Brian and Quick As I Can Plumbing if you want professional plumbing services, quickly, and at a reasonable price. I will be using them in the future for all my plumbing projects.
Description of Work: Re-pipe house with CPVC, install water line for automatic ice maker, add new outside spigot in carport, replace shower head, faucet, and handle in bath.

This was overall a good experience. Before starting he gave a rough estimate of how much it would cost. The job was more difficult than the average.
Description of Work: I called him at 7:35 AM. He answered the phone himself, pulled off the road to write my number down, Give me an estimated time of arrival him later that morning, called me back to confirm an hour before his arrival. On old house with awkward plumbing not draining come up with the toilet backing up into the shower. He even had to climb on the roof to unblock the system. At the end he cleaned up the floor. When asked, he gave recommendations about how to prevent blockage from penetrating the plumbing. Courteous and friendly.

Wanted to take a nice hot bath but....no hot water. AND the water heater was leaking. I always like it when I call a company and I get a real person instead of an answering machine. This was the case when I called Quick As I Can plumbing. I had called two other plumbers and left messages without hearing back from either. Brian got to my house at the appointed time the next morning. I only spent one short night without water. He got right to work and kept me well informed of the problems and potential costs. Brian was professional, efficient, thorough, and friendly. Now I have water again and more importantly hot water. Great experience.
Description of Work: Replaced an old water heater and some old electrical wires.

Brian Clark was one of the few plumbers who will regularly work on a Saturday. We needed a leak repaired on a bathroom shower and the lines snaked due to a leaking washing machine. Brian (and his helper son) arrived EXACTLY on time for our appointment and proceeded to make the repairs. (This alone is worth an "A" rating, as I get so tired waiting for people in a "window" of time.) Brian and his son were courteous and quick, They did both jobs in @ 1.5 hours. The only thing I would caution is if you pay by credit card, there is a 3% fee tacked on. This is a small owner-operated business and so he does things the old-fashioned way. Because I was not wanting to pay by credit with the extra fee, I made arrangements to pay by cash and he even worked with me and waited while I went to my credit union for the money, though this is not his standard way of doing business. If you want to pay by cash, plan on having it available. Now It is a little over two weeks later and my washer is leaking again, but in all honesty I was the one to suggest to him to snake out the lines based on previous leaking. The shower head is working just fine. So I called Brian and he is very amenable to coming by on my next day off to take a closer look at the problem-- again being very understanding of my needs. Hopefully, this time will be the charm. I would recommend him based on his punctuality and work ethic.

veral days. They were polite, courteous, professional, and very prompt in their service. It was a pleasant surprise to have that kind of service. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: He had to clean up several months of leakage from broken plumbing lines, and replace broken pipes. That sounds easy, but it was an ugly dirty job. Another company had been slow to respond to our call, and after a full weekend of no bathroom didn't respond to our calls all day. That's when I joined Angie's List and we called Quick As I Can. I expected them to take at least another day to respond since it was after noon. They were here within a couple of hours, and they just finished up a few minutes ago. They had done in just a day what the other company told us would take se

It was Sunday. We tried to fix a leaky faucet ourselves. When turning of the water under the sink we made the turn off valves leak. We drove into town to buy a new, updated faucet and called Brian Clark of "As -Quick-As-You-Can" on the way back. He arrived in about an hour. We had two dripping faucets to fix and one more was added. He knew exactly what to do and the jobs were completed in a very short time including having to cut out part of the wall under the bathroom sink. I am very satisfied with his work and have used him several times.
Description of Work: Fixed leaks in three faucets. One of the bathroom faucets was leaking into the wall which had to be cut away.

Raw sewage was backing up and overflowing in our bath tub. We called "Quick as I can" plumbing and they arrived in less than 30 minutes on a Sunday morning. There was a tree root blocking our drain field, they had it fixed in less than an hour and a half. Worth every penny of the money spent. Highly reccommend this company.

He didn't help me. He was just terrible. I never got my money back. He didn't fix what was wrong with the job. There were issues with the dishwasher, and he kept the one that wasn't working. I got a new one, and that didn't work, either. I got a handyman to finally fix it. Somebody else told me that this company was ripping me off.

I have used As Quick As I Can Plumbing off and on for over 5 years. I have had toilets replaceod, clogs, etc. at my personal home and rental property. Although they are not the cheapest plumber in Gainesville I always feel I am getting an honest, courteous and hard-working professional. I am not afraid they are scamming me, etc and am happy I have found a dependable plumber. I wish they were added to my home warranty company's list of plumbers so I could have more confidence on the times I do use my home warranty as opposed to calling the plumber direct. I highly recommend them.

When I said to Clark 11/25/09 that I knew nothing of his ordering unauthorized parts and wasting all that time and I ask him to send me an itemization of the work was billing for and he screamed at me that I wasn't going to do him out and stick him with the parts. He charged to my account and sent me itemizations. I have called him and he will not retract the charges and the renters didn't want him back around and neither do I at SW 2nd. He did go back and get the hot water cut off at NW 19th Av however his work was totally unsatisfactory as the drains were not remedied and the faucet would cut off however leaked behind wall and has ruined the inside wall. I have receipts for dishwashers and statement from the main renter, Cornerstone Maytag Repair, Ed Huish, J. J. Jarem at NW 19th. Glenn, Mgr, at Fl. Pest Control did not give a statement however is available. I have a contract with Fl. Pest Control. I want a refund for botched plumbing, two dishwashers and Ed Huish's bills - $40 and $35. I too would like a $100 refund for the pipe to my new water heater that was replaced by Clark that did not need replacing. 11/6/09 Mrs. Clark sent a note with a ck for the second $100 that was billed to me.
Description of Work: 11/24/09 Clark was to check dishwasher at 3104 SW 2nd Av to determine why water wasn't getting to it and let me know, that it didn't seem to be the dishwasher but that water wasn't getting to the dishwasher. I told him to go to NW 19th and take care of a slow drain and a shower faucet. I ask him to let me know. I heard nothing until mid-day the next day (11/25) when he called to say he had bought parts for the dishwasher that wouldn't fix it and he couldn't take the parts back and that he had six hours of time in 11/25 (renters later told me he had at that time only been there about 30 minutes-less than an hour) and he would stop the time and go get a dishwasher and haul mine off. My dishwasher was a top of the line however he said the renters were upset that they had to have a dishwasher. I told him they had told me they were fine until after Thanksgiving. I didn't know at the time he had told them it would be 10 days if he didn't get a new dishwasher installed, that he was going away on vacation. I bought a dishwasher at Lowe's, he went and got it and installed it and took the other dishwasher. I didn't realize he had charged $355 from the day before and I ask him for an itemized account to be sent me. I further told him I had not authorized anything but for him to check why water wasn't getting to my dishwasher, check bath to get water to turn off at SW 2nd and at NW19th to snake drain and check faucet. He said he told my grand daughter he thought I would want to fix the dishwasher and she had no idea he wasn't reporting to me for direction. Clark had my charge card from before when he had created havoc, charged me twice when he had flooded my new water heater and I had to have the installer come fix it. His wife wrote a letter of apoloogy for the double charged and sent a reimbursement check to me. I had to have Ed Huish go to fix the shower which then wouldn't turn off at SW 2nd (the faucet he allegedly fixed). My grand daughter's faucet wouldn't cut off a few days later when Clark was back from vacation and he did come and said he fixed it. It's been worked on several more times since then however water had run behind the wall and now the wall is going to have to be replaced at NW 19th Av. I paid Ed Huish $35 to go to SW 2nd and attach dishwasher to cabinet as it was dancing under the counter top - wasn't attached. Jan 5, 2010, my renter called to say the new dishwasher was doing the same as the old - water wouldn't come on. I sent Ed Huish over to check it out and he said it looked like something had cut the line - a rat. I called Maytag, Cornerstone's repairman Michael Matthews, 386.454.0632. He went out, said he would order the part and in the meantime a rat did still more damage so we had to order still another dishwasher. Ed Huish put a shield under and around the space and Florida Pest Control's Mgr Glenn, ph: 352.224.2075, took control, coordinated with Ed Huish, set traps and caught rats. The Maytag Dishwasher couldn't repaired. I then bought a dishwasher from Sears, Ed Huish went and picked it up and installed it and it is now doing fine. Ed Huish phone 352.222.6289. I have receipts for the two dishwashers neither of which are nice as the one Clark managed to haul off.

Response from AS QUICK AS I CAN PLUMBING
Concerning the member, she was a valuable referral client and I am saddened that she is unhappy with the service that she received. Please note that the complaint is a bit confusing due to the fact that it contains more than one time that [ was called to come over and repair something. In retrospect I am wondering if [ did such a bad job the first time, why did she call me not once but several times. [ am also wondering why she waited an entire year to "file" a complaint with an organization that uses threats of bad publicity to get a response. At 2nd Ave house: First, I was called to repair a shower valve in the master bathroom. In the process of repairing the shower valve, I went outside to the hot water heater in order to turn off a valve on it. I noticed that the galvanized pipe joints going to the hot water heater were corroded and wet (leaking). I told her daughter that they needed to be replaced. She called me the next day to go ahead and replace them. At that time, I replaced the galvanized pipe and joints. I left the job and fifteen (15) minutes later I received a call that the water heater was leaking and immediately returned and fixed the problem. One of the joints had come loose. I cannot say why the tenant could not turn off the main valve on the hot water heater. The water caused the water heater's pilot light to be difficult to relight. I attempted for 30 minutes but was unable to relight it. They mentioned they had had difficulty lighting it in the past, as well. They had the installer come over and light it the pilot for them. *Please note that I gave an estimate over the phone to install the water heater but was not hired for that service. It was installed by someone else. I am not sure of the name of the person/company. * Then, I was called to repair a faucet and clogged sink in the hall bathroom I did what I could for the faucet considering the age of the water and waste lines. I explained this to the client. At 19th house: I was called to repair a drippy faucet in the shower. I repaired it. They asked for an estimate to replace the entire shower due to its poor condition. I gave one to them but they did not have me do the work. At 2nd Ave house: After the jobs above were satisfactorily completed. to my knowledge, her daughter called me and asked if I could go over and look at the dishwasher. Please note that it was one or two days before Thanksgiving and I was getting ready to go on vacation for ten (10) days. I told the daughter that I had water to the dishwasher and was not certain why the dishwasher wasn't working. I could not get in touch with the member to discuss this with her. The daughter asked if it could be repaired. I said it would probably be cheaper to repair it but that I was not an appliance repair person. I could only replace the entire unit. I waited for the daughter to get in touch with her mother but she could not reach her. The daughter said to try and repair it. Again, I mentioned that I am not an appliance repair person. She was a repeat customer and I wanted to help her if I could. So, I called a place and asked what might be the problem. They told me to check the celonoid. If it had power on one side and not the other, then that was the problem. So. I tried that and it did not have power on the one side. I went ahead and ordered the part because the daughter wanted me to try and repair it. I went back the next day, the day before Thanksgiving, and installed it. Sadly. it did not work. Because the part did not work. The member refused to pay for the part or the involved in waiting for her to return our call. After repeatedly trying to call her and her daughter attempting to call her, I was finally able to speak with her. I wanted to wait until I returned from vacation to replace the dishwasher. The tenants were willing to wait a couple of days but not the ten (10) that I would be gone. One of the tenants at the house told me that if it wasn't replaced in less than two (2) days, that they would call and complain to the Rental Authority about her depriving them of the appliance. I waited for 45 minutes in the drive way for a response from the daughter and two (2) hours for the member to find a dishwasher for me to install. These hours I waited for her, she was not charged. Please note that the original dishwasher was at least eight (8) years old. She chose to replace the dishwasher right then instead of waiting for my return. She picked it out and paid for it herself. I only went and picked it up. After that, I installed it for her. When I was under the counter, I saw no evidence of a rat. There were no rat feces down there. The original dishwasher was not damaged by me. I informed them that I could not repair the problem, only replace the dishwasher. They chose the brand, color and place to purchase it as well as have me replace it. I did my job and completed what I said I would do for them. As I said in the beginning, I am saddened that she is unhappy with the outcome of the job. She was a valued client. All the jobs I had completed for her before the dishwasher had not received any complaints and she called me back for more work. I perceived that she was satisfied. I did not want to let her down on Thanksgiving Eve, especially since she had been a customer for some time. When I made a mistake and was informed of it. I fixed it. The double charges were also fixed as soon as they were noticed. For this reason. I do not feel it is my responsibility to reimburse her for anything. I have been in business in the Gainesville/ Lake Area Region for almost ten (10) years. I average over 1,000 service calls per year. Most of my business is referrals and repeat business. I value each and every customer. For this reason, I no longer need to advertise in large publications due to my history of good customer service. Brian Clark-President
