The estimate was our lowest, he equalled another company and so we went with him. Jay Acree came with his crew the first day and they took out all the trees in one day. It was later that I noticed our neighbor's chain link fence was a bit dented and part of our roof was bent on a corner both from trees falling on them. He had a crew of two other guys with him and they weren't really professional. I saw one of them pee in the drainage ditch behind our house. I gave him $1300 at the close of that day and told him I'd give him the other $100 when the job was finished. The next time they came back with the stump grinder and were working on grinding down the stumps. He had to leave early before his crew was finished and requested I pay him the remainder before he left since they were almost done. I did pay him the rest then so I wouldn't have to bother with mailing it to him later. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the job done on some of the stumps. A few of them were only half-way done. So I gave him a call and requested they come out and finish that and I wanted to show him the spot on the roof and fence. Gave him a call again.....and again...and again....each time with some different excuse of why he needed to call me back or vacation, or whatever. I don't think we'd use him again, but the job was done for the least expense. So if we did need to use him again we'd not pay until it was completed to our satisfaction.

The work was not completed until we hired another provider who was very professional and completed the work that had been contracted and paid for, but not completed, by A+ tree service.
