A Personal Elf

It was a good experience. That girl is now a manager. They cleaned the blinds, vacuuming, they dusted everything, the fans. They actual cleaned the drains of that yucky stuff. They don't do windows. They clean the kitchen stainless steel and make it shine again.

She comes every other Wednesday to clean the house. They have a check list that they used. We've been using them for about 4 years now.

They are very professional. They work around me if I'm working from home, but I also feel comfortable leaving them there alone if I want to get out of their hair. Email and phone calls are always promptly attended to. I was sick at the last minute and they didn't charge a cancellation fee for that month. If I could afford for them to come bi-monthly, I'd definitely do it. I use them once a month to clean what I may have not been able to get to. House always looks and smells great!

A Personal Elf was fabulous to work with! I contacted the office to request a one-time cleaning of my home before visitors arrived. I had specific things I wanted cleaned, since I would be cleaning the rest myself. Dawn in the office was quick to respond to all of my questions and to followup with emails about my scheduled service. I was provided with a checklist I could customize for the cleaner, or provide my own list to be completed. Dawn even took the time to look over my list to see if it could be completed in the three hours of labor time I purchased. On the day of services, my cleaner Erica arrived promptly and was very nice and professional. She worked solidly and efficiently for the entire three hours straight, pausing only when I had a question or she needed clarification on my list. She followed my needs precisely and tackled the most important requests first. When time was running short and it looked like we may not be able to finish the list (which I expected), she was thoughtful in helping me prioritize my remaining time. When her time was up, my home was sparkling clean and smelled so fresh and nice! I will be returning to Erica at A Personal Elf for future cleaning needs!

What a disappointment. I have been using Personal Elf for some time and it has been hit and miss throughout. One cleaner did a great job, but later she quit the company and I was back to having whoever was available. Each time it was a roll of the dice and mostly disappointing. Jobs took much longer. Very high prices. Lots of promises about what they can do, but it is clear that many of their employees don't know how to clean. They used Pledge on my flat screen, left my front door unlocked, left the house half finished and left me a note that they couldn't get the job done, despite a 5 hour schedule. I have years of having my house cleaned by professionals and have never been so disappointed. I wanted to like them. Wanted to use them. But it is just not worth it. Good luck to all who use them.

They come in with a team of 2-3 girls that have been well trained and passed several screenings. They actually have a person in the field that will come and spot check them sometimes after they left and view their work. They keep on top of them all the time. One time I felt they forgot to scrub out the toilet, I called and they made the girls turn around to do it. Depending on what team you get, some people will even do extras. I had one guy who took it upon himself to vacuome my carpet and I have a tap tower and he decided that he is going to go ahead and vacuome that too because it was covered carpet. They are always very professional. They take it a little further than just being your ABC cleaning service.

Our team of two from A Personal Elf has been cleaning our home twice a month since the fall. We appreciate that the company can arrange their schedule so we get the same two people every time. They do a fabulous job and I know that if I mentioned something was missed, they'd go above and beyond on the next cleaning. We just love our elves!

Everything goes very well. They always want to know how everything turned out and are very anxious for feedback.

I requested for the service to be the done the next day and was very happy to hear that they would be able to come and clean the very next day. I asked what the estimated price would be and was told that for one person to clean it would cost $35 an hour, and that it would take approximately 4 hours for the work that I requested to be done, which would be cleaning 2 bathrooms, and the kitchen including fridge and oven. I had turned on the self cleaner on the oven the night before, so it was pretty much clean, except for the dust that accumulates at the bottom. It took almost 7 hours for the work to be done instead of 4, and I assure you that my house was not that filthy! My cost went from $140 to $240. I would have been kind of ok with it if everything was spotless but it was not, it was clean, but not spotless. My husband was at home and said that the person was very professional and nice, however if I spent 7 hours cleaning the same amount that she cleaned, and I am not a professional cleaner, it would be spotless! Not worth the money!
