We brought the computer to them. I think that the fellow did an excellent job. He had to troubleshoot a problem with the computer overheating and he knew what the problem was I think twenty minutes after we brought it in. He did a really professional job getting it done. It was done within 24-hours so it was great. It was very quick. They gave us an itemized list of all the things that they did, but it did not really break it down by whether they were charging us by the hour and each item was not priced out. It was just kind of an aggregate price for the work that was done.

I could not turn on my HP laptop computer and my husband took it to a well known store in Gainesville that offers repairs. He was told it needed a new mother board and battery with an estimated cost of $500.00 plus allowing 10 days for it to be shipped out and repaired. My husband was told I could purchase a new laptop for the approximate price $500.00. We took it to 43rd Street Computer Repair for a second opinion. While we were discussing the laptop, Martin replaced the battery charger and the computer started up. He told us what need to be replaced such as the battery and charger, fan, redo thermal paste, cleaned computer and optimization of software, Martin did a excellent job.

I took the computer in and ahd it assessed. Person said that he coudl not find why the computer was shutting down. He said that he cleaned it up a bit but did not find anything. we took it home, turne don the computer and it did it again. When I tried to take it back he said that it would cost us additional. Within 2 days the computer totally shut off and has not been able to go on again. The computer was going on before they touched it. They said that it wasn't anything they did and it was not their problem.

The young man who came out figured it all out and fixed it. And the next day, when there was a tweak needed, he came again at no additional charge. The only reason I have a "B" rather than an "A" for professionalism, was because of the young man's dress - jeans, tshirt, flip flops - this IS Florida, but thought he could have been a little neater when going into a customer's home (I have a home office.) Thanks.

This was a computer hardrive that ALL of my free-lance work was stored on - but more importantly, all the programs that I needed for these files. I had backed up my files, but a number of the programs that had been legally downloaded from a disc which I no longer had after I moved, were lost after the hard drive was replaced - even though I asked if everything could be transferred to the new disc PRIOR to having the work done. I was reassured that everything would transfer over. Needless to say the programs were lost. He went ahead and downloaded TRIAL programs (without telling me they were trials) which ended up causing more problems. I would have had to pay hundreds of dollars at the end of the trial period to keep the programs. To top it all off, he charged me more than he quoted, because he told me I had more files to transfer than he realized! Geeze. Sure he was a nice guy, but I was disappointed. Sorry I can't recommend this place, unless you have some simple repairs.

I feel like the office does shotty work. and try to give you broken cords. The owner gets real snotty about it like eh what ever attitude. The second time I brought 2 computers. One easy fix and the second i was told that it just needed codes and I told him no problem i had codes. The next time i call him he tries to tell me he didn't have my phone number which i give him evry time i am in there. Then the next conversation he telling me that he basically scrapped it because it wasn't fixable and he had wiped everything and he didn't know that i wanted it . With out my permission he scraped my computer. He said he would have to put it back together.. I am not happy and I am having a friend to look at it to see what he did to it. obviously he doesn't remember the conversations but i do. ALso the work he did with the red computer I have is broken.

The experience was very disappointing. I brought in my daughter's inoperable Dell laptop to the vendor's location for an estimate, indicating clearly that I only wanted to move on a repair if the problem and cost of repair were found to be modest, no more than about $100, since the unit was several years old and not worth the cost of a major repair. I was informed to my disappointment later that week that the motherboard was faulty and to replace it would cost about $250, which I declined. Equally disappointing was the owner's response that I owed $40 for the estimate, even though their web site clearly states their policy of free estimates. I ended up collecting the hard disk (for my daughter's files) and leaving the dead laptop as barter rather than paying the fee, but looking back I must conclude that the vendor was highly unprofessional. Less important but also disappointing was that on two occasions he promised to call the next day with an update but did not. I will not do business again with this vendor.

He came to my home and did an excellent job.

I brought in an older desk top computer and told the repair folks what I thought the problem was. They listened patiently, did a test and then told me what the real problem was. They immediately fixed the problem...replaced the power source box...and sent me on my way for more than half what it would have cost me at a big box computer repair store....and certainly in a LOT less time! Needless to say...I'll use these people for any future computer prblems I have!

Computer seems to work very well now . It is an old HP tower with Windows Vistaand now runs a lot faster . These guys did a good job and jumped on the problem quickly. I would definitely go back to them. The work was performed at their shop at 2632 NW 43rd street and a followup call at my house at 3944 Nw 23rd Circle.

As above, great service, great price and excellent time frame

My Dell standalone computer decided it would not boot up (the fan would go on but it would not boot up at all). I brought it in to this shop on a Saturday and a few hours later I was back to pick it up. Marty had called me to keep me updated on progress. He stayed at work longer than he had planned in order to get it done the same day. He had completely cleaned up the hard drive. Not only does the computer boot up, but it runs better and faster than it ever has. Well worth the $80 for this service/maintenance. I would go back to this place in the future and I would recommend them to anyone having computer problems. I believe they also make housecalls.

The laptop computer died in early November. I found this company from the internet and they had great reviews. (Later I found out that they had replaced my friends LCD screen which broke when she dropped it on concrete. She loved them too!). Initially I called where they told me to bring it in for a free diagnosis. The next day I took it in (NW Gainesville) where they quoted me a tad bit more than it had ended up costing me (love that). They are extremely warm and friendly people and their office is cozy. The next day I picked it up and it was running BETTER than when I first bought it. Overall I highly recommend this place to everyone in Gainesville needing any type of laptop or computer repair service. They do not sell computers.
