Description of Work: I thought since this provider got such high ratings that I would at least get a phone call back. After three calls a woman finally answered the phone and said they were to busy to respond to my request for a job estimate. I explained that the work wouldnt start until August and she told me that it probably didnt matter when, they were still to busy. I was stunned. The economy must be better than I think it is. Too not return a phone call (three of them) made over three weeks ago seems very unprofessional.

I will have much bigger projects in the future, but will definitely not call Kelley Bros. Don't know how they got so many "A" ratings!

 + 4 moreBrian with Kelley Brothers is an honest, hardworking contractor. He definitely exceeded our expectations for the quality of work he provided (especially considering he was half the price of the other guys). He takes pride in his work and was always willing to work long days and weekends to try to meet the agreed upon deadlines. He also was always willing to do the extra little projects that always come up during remodeling. At the end he provided a final invoice that covered the extra work which was very fair and reasonable. Brian is a perfectionist so our remodel took longer than initially planned. However he was willing to work around us as we tried to move in and we are glad he placed more value in quality over quantity. Overall we are very happy with his work and recommend him for any remodeling work you need. He will do a very good job while minimizing the cost to you. We will definitely use him again for future remodeling work.
Description of Work: Brian with Kelley Brothers promptly responded to our request for obtaining a quotation for remodeling work on our new home we purchased in Vero. He went through each part of the house we wanted to work on to understand what we wanted to do. After we went over the work he left and returned a quote for the labor and some materials within 5 days. His quotations listed the full scope of the work he was going to provide and he generated a list of what I was required to provide upon request. We received a quote from a larger contractor in the area and Kelley a Brothers was half the price!!!! Once we decided to go with Kelley Brothers he quickly started work. Kelley Brothers is a one stop shop for everything that you need for a remodeler. He worked on moving walls, opening doorways, cabinet refinishing, laying tile floor, plumbing, tile showers, installing tubs, installing lighting, texturing walls, and painting interior of house. He personally worked on every aspect of the remodel.

 + 2 moreI was a little nervous when they changed the starting date by about a week , but was very happy when they started, that they showed up daily until job finished , UNLIKE past contractors who started on time( and , sometimes not on time , either) , but then hopped around to other jobs , leaving us stranded and unfinished for months . The owner brought one worker along from start to finish and we could not be happier with them both . They were professoinal ,compliant, courteous, considerate , friendly, clean( drop cloths, plastic clean up after messes,etc) , trustworthy .... And , of course , the quality of work was perfection !!!! We would love to use them , again , and would very highly recommend them .

Because of the level of the quality of work, the job took a bit longer than we expected. If you question them, he says that they do not trade time with quality.

 + 9 moreBought a bank owned property in Port St. Lucie and the house had really been neglected. Went to Angie's list and found Bryan from Kelley Bros. Construction and I could not be happier. He met me at the house and we did a quick walk-through and I discussed with him what I had in mind to do. He was quiet and polite with no pressure. In about 3 to 4 day's Bryan emailed me with his estimate which I thought was very reasonable. We met a week later and I gave him a deposit to start work. He was just finishing another job so work started about a week later. All during the job Bryan made suggestions on many things all for the better.I was an absentee owner so I just gave Bryan the key. I have been around for a long time and have hired many workman but I can't remember any that were as conscientious as him. Very neat , attention to detail and can do the vast majority of the job himself. I would hire him again in a minute
Description of Work: Completely remodeled two bathrooms, installed whirlpool tub in master bedroom with all new marble tile. Installed wood flooring in master bedroom. Installed 3 French doors(two onto patio and one front door) .Installed 4 ceiling fans and Chandelier in dining room . Painted living, dining room, family room and kitchen along with master bedroom. Put in new moldings in every room and replaced 4 interior doors. Also installed garage door opener and wall mounted a 51 inch tv.

 + 3 moreIt should be noted that we homeschool four children *and* my husband works from a home office. We not only occupied the home during the construction/remodeling on two floors, we were present in the home for much of it. Brian and his team were incredibly considerate, *exceptionally clean and tidy* and the level of disruption was far below what I expected. Further, neighbors in my gated community were so impressed with his consideration that many requested his business card for their own projects!
Description of Work: Working with Brian Kelley was the best experience we've ever had with any form of contractor, builder or repair professional. We moved to Vero Beach and did not have references to turn to, so tried Angie's List for the first time. What a blessing! He is professional, reliable, considerate, creative and a perfectionist. He's unique in that he really *cares* about your home and its contents (we were living in the property while the work was being done). Brian completed the following work for us: **Conversion of office to a bedroom, with creation of two entries and installation of doors into hallway as well as an adjacent bath. He closed the doorway that existed previously (office was previously off of the master bedroom), and that wall is perfect...no signs whatsoever of an opening being 'patched.' His drywall and finishing work is the best we've ever seen. **Conversion of a closet to a 'mini office' - including creation of a double-width doorway with glass-paned French doors. It's a superb use of space, and again the trim, painting and details are perfect. Although a small space, the design and doors allows a great amount of natural light. **Conversion of an open-plan formal dining room to a library. The entry to the room is via glass-paned French doors and it is magnificent. This included a good bit of electrical work as some switches are inside the new room whilst some are outside, and the alarm system panel was relocated. The room is beautiful, and with the French doors and daybed can serve as a guest room when necessary. **Additionally, he has installed three (3) ceiling fans and a large chandelier. One of the fans required building a fan box and creating a new opening in the ceiling. The chandelier required a ceiling work as well, since we moved the position of the light source from the one that was removed. We have already signed a second agreement with Brian for other, larger modification as we were so pleased with this phase of remodeling. That work is quite different, very specialized and I will review it separately. We HIGHLY recommend Kelley Brothers Construction!

He arrived on the day scheduled and we walked through the unit and talked about the job for over two hours. Unfortunately, Mr. Kelley never submitted a bid for the job. I was disappointed that after spending so much time on site, I didn't hear from him again.

Kelly Brothers was hired to do some of the initial work including painting and drywall repair as well as replace an exterior door and water heater. As we saw the workmanship and attention to detail we asked about doing more. By the time everything was done, Kelley Brothers had completed an extensive list of services. Brian Kelley's ability to handle many different types of projects was impressive. We did not have to bring in a different specialist for every aspect of the job. One of our biggest concerns was the kitchen. The existing kitchen was old and in need of refurbishing. Brian was able to make arrangements with a cabinet distributor allowing us to put in new cabinets and counter tops at an affordable price which we did not think was possible. We were thrilled with the look of the completed job. Because work was done in condominium environment, many neighbors observed the progress of job. It was impressive enough that more than one of the neighbors that saw Brian's work hired him for upgrades to their units.

The work included : Installing cabinets and countertops, sink and dishwasher. as part of an overall kitchen remodel. What I really wanted was one company that could handle it all, as I didn't want 28 guys in my house while we tried to move in and get settled. Luckily, we found Brian at Kelly Brothers, and couldn't be happier. At first, my one reluctance was Brian beat everyone eles's quote, and I wasn't going for the cheapest quote. I just wanted one great handyman to do it all. Upon meeting Brian for the first time, I felt confident he was the man for the job, and he was. Since we had bought a foreclosure, the closing process did not go as smoothly as I wanted, and we had to change the date of service numerous times. Brian did an outstanding job of communicating with us effectively to accomodate our needs. When work did finally begin, Brian always let us know when and what time he would be there. I noticed while he was doing projects, he seemed to go the extra mile on everything to ensure it was done correctly. This is exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased with the work Brian did on our home. So much so, that I decided to also hire him to paint our home in a few weeks. If you are looking for someone who values his business by performing quality work, is competitively priced, and can be trusted in your home, then Kelly Brothers is the company you are looking for.

 + 2 moreWe bought a 7 year old house last year that had chalky paint and some minor damage to soffits and gutters. Kelley Brothers gave us a very reasonable estimate to take care of the painting and repairs. Brian did an excellent job of pressure washing the chalky areas, sealing cracks, and painting the house with great attention to detail. There were a couple of spots where soffits and gutters were damaged and needed fixing. We were happy that Brian was able to take care of these in addition to the painting. It was nice to have everything completed all at once. The house looks great.

We had general contracting work done by other companies that did not clean up afterwards - not so with Kelley Construction. Everything was put back in its place, all used materials washed and/or removed from the premises. We highly recommend Kelley Construction - you will be pleased with the results.
Description of Work: After mold was removed from the ceiling in a bedroom, we contacted Kelley Construction to put up new drywall and paint. We were extremely pleased with the results.

 + -1 moreSince we had other work done by Kelley Brothers (that we were very satisfied with), we had them remodel our kitchen. Brian helped us with the design of the kitchen and came up with very good ideas. As we experienced from other jobs, he worked very clean, precise and showed his professionalism and skills in everything he did. The final result was beyond our expectations. We now have a very beautiful and functional dream kitchen.
Description of Work: The old kitchen was demolished (including a wall that was removed) and the drywall was repaired and texture for walls and ceilings were done in preparation for the new kitchen. The cabinets were placed and a wall was framed for a bar. New appliances, sink fixtures and reverse osmosis were also installed. There was a new range hood installed, including the vent pipe and necessary roofing. Finish work such as trim, crown moulding and caulking were also done.

He also listens to your inputs and nothing is to much for him to make the final results how you want it. We are extremely satisfied with his work.

 + 0 moreBrian was able to put up crown moulding in downstairs office and paint as well as add 9 decorative corners to upstairs crown moulding to match work of previous project. He was able to do with very little mess and was able to cut the corners in without having to remove the crown mouldings. All the work was done in 2 days.

 + 3 moreWe got 4 quotes to do the work. Brian's was the most reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done so we decided to take a chance and go with another contractor. You can never have too many good ones right? We needed the work done before Christmas so he was very accomodating in working us in with another project that he had going on at an apartment building. I liked the fact that 95% of the work is done by Brian and he is always onsite. He is very meticulous which also means he doesnt rush through it and makes sure it is done right. If your looking for somone to rush through it and not care too much about the details, then Brian is not for you. Brian purchased most of the supplies and gave me receipts to pay him excpet for the doors I purchased at a building store.
Description of Work: Brian enclosed our upstairs loft making it into a completely sealed off theater room. The work included framing, soundproofing, drywall, texturing, painting, crown moulding, and hanging/framing two 30" doors.

 + 1 moreThe alcove was kind of like a half pentagon shape that needed to be flattened out in the back so that the support bars could be attached. In order to do that, Brian had to reframe a new wall and apply drywall to it. He textured the wall to match our existing texture and then hung the three supports to hold the wine racks. Each wine rack is supporting 6-7 bottles of wine and 4-8 wine glasses. Everything looks great and we were able to get rid of our free standing wine rack that was sucking space from the dining room. Thank you!
Description of Work: Installed 3 wine racks into an alcove after having to reframe the back wall with extra support and length to be able to attach floating wine racks.
