+ -1 moreI had a very good experience. He was on time and very professional, in and out in 10 minutes. It was great and at a good price because of Angie’s List. I want to say it was about $120 and that included about 6 keys. He was right on time. I would use him again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: They changed my locks within about 10 minutes and changed all the doors to a matching key.

He accurately assessed the problem, gave a reasonable estimate, and fixed the door in about an hour. The work entailed taking the door off to get the vertical locking mechanism properly aligned with the top set lock. I would definitely recommend this company, and would use their services again.

+ -1 moreHe showed up promptly on a Sunday afternoon in less than forty minutes and was able to put in a new deadbolt to match handle, make the lock mechanism match our keys, and install the strike plate properly all within a half an hour and he cleaned up after himself. Would recommend him to anyone looking for locksmith services.
Description of Work: We needed our deadbolt replaced on the front door because the lock mechanism had stopped functioning properly. We wanted the lock to still match the keys that we already had for the house that also matched a second door to the house that didn't need any work. We had a strike plate that we had already purchased but been unable to install properly.

He then went to his truck and made me two duplicate keys. Everything was done within 20 minutes! The price was consistent with his quote.

+ -1 moreI called A-Best for a quote on changing 6 doors with 2 locks each, as well as replacing 2 locks, and after I got off the phone with them and did some more comparing, I got a call back saying that they'd be available to come out right away and would give me competitive pricing. They were at my door within 30 minutes, and were in and out within 45 minutes. They were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. I'll definitely call them the next time I need a locksmith.

Description of Work: I needed a key that was stuck in the lock removed and also wanted to re-key all of the locks on my house so they all worked with the same key. Gerry arrived on time, was conscious that is was raining so to he took the time to wipe his feet as he entered the house. Within a short time he had re-keyed the whole house, cut me some extra keys, checked to make sure all keys were turning the locks smoothly and cleaned up! He was pleasant to talk to and knew what he was doing. I would definitely recommend Gerry and A Best Locksmith to all of my friends!

+ -1 moreIt did not go good. Gerry did not line up new lock to work with other installed lock. Gerry had to grind down the other two striking plates I already had installed plus the deadbolt striking plate he installed and it looks horrible.
